First cycle of ivf, they transferred x2 embryos yesterday so the countdown begins....

DH is trying to be helpful but driving me slightly insane fussing, I'm feeling ok and trying not to panic about every slight twinge

Testing on the 16th, anyone else around the same time?

I've just woken to needing the loo and have done 2 tests one which had a second line and one that said pregnant. I can't believe or as I didn't dare to hope this time.

We are going to my oh's sons 18th birthday today as he turned 18 yesterday.

We are taking one step at a time but these are my first bfps so I'm shaking a bit.

Hope everyone is well x

willma86 · 19/11/2017 07:31

Ging that is fantastic news!!!! Congratulations. Praying it sticks for you. Enjoy every second xx

willma86 · 19/11/2017 07:46

Ging how have you been feeling in the last few days - did you have any symptoms? (I know i’m obsessed with symptoms Confused)

Rememberallball · 19/11/2017 07:59

Bfn on FRER this morning again - 10dp5dt though the cycle was originally supposed to be a fresh cycle the donors eggs matured quicker than planned so they did EC on the 1st instead of the 4th, fertilised immediately and taken to 5 day blastocyst stage before being frozen as I was only on day 15 of my cycle and ET was for CD 18.

I’m wondering if that 4 day freezing process has slowed everything down for implantation and detectable levels of hcg or whether, despite the (limited) symptoms I’ve got - tiredness, sore breasts for last 5 days or so along with increased size, it’s actually been a failed cycle. I mentioned to DH today that we need to start saving for a possible repeat cycle but he said we won’t need to as it will have worked - I’m feeling less confident as we get closer to OTD.

Ging78 · 19/11/2017 08:05

Willma I didn't have any and don't feel different now except that I feel like I'm walking on air. I've been looking at my boobs and checking all possible symptoms non stop and honestly could not call it. Was so convinced it hadn't worked.

My oh was in the way of the test for a good minute as he couldn't believe he was seeing a positive. I had to move him out of the way.

Remember you haven't reached your otd yet. Fingers crossed it changes x

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 09:49

That’s awesome @ging78, so pleased for you, congrats, really hope it sticks but continue to enjoy it it!! Amazing!

LondonGirl80 · 19/11/2017 10:36

Oh congrats ging78! That’s such brilliant news!

Rememberallball · 19/11/2017 11:38

Thanks Ging, I know it’s still early days but I was expecting something by now. As well as being 10dp5dt today is also cd28 so af is due any day!!

willma86 · 21/11/2017 09:50

@minster2012 how are you feeling about tomorrow?
I’m still convinced it hasn’t worked for us this time but still nervous all the same ...

Minster2012 · 21/11/2017 12:10

Hi ladies, & Willma86 thanks for thinking of me. The plan actually changed slightly after my friend took today off (OTD) so came over today. But last night & today I’m massively ill, sick, on the loo, sweating & leg cramps.

So it wasn’t quite the magical moment we envisaged but didn’t change the result! 😁💕

Two week wait - anyone else?
willma86 · 21/11/2017 12:50

Oh my goodness!! Such wonderful news and so deserved to you all. Huge congratulations i’m so thrilled for you xx Smile

Minster2012 · 21/11/2017 13:01

Thank you, can’t believe it really, last night was horrible even when I wasn’t ill as up until this point DH hasn’t wasn’t to talk about it, because we were “lucky” & he could ignore the 2ww was happening as it was happening to my friend we could just continue as normal (or he could, he blocked it out, I was going crazy & NOT feeling twinges was horrible) but last night & waiting for my friend this morning he was the same, pacing up & down, constantly saying “god I’m nervous, this is it, it’s the end of this one or it’s the best news ever! When can we go with the other embryo if it hasn’t worked?” Etc etc

All the emotions came at once,

And @willma86, my friend says she kept thinking between it had worked, then thinking it hadn’t, then thinking ectopic or twins (one embryo) as she felt one day of cramping & that’s it so honestly ignore what you think & just wait for the test 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Everything crossed for you xxx

Ging78 · 22/11/2017 04:26

HI

Great news minister. Congrats. Yippee x

Meant to say eatier willma good luck today. Fingers crossed.

I'm still in disbelief and slowly the feeling of elation is being replaced by the fear that something will go wrong. Woke up and hour ago and couldn't sleep so took another test cos was feeling less symptoms. My boobs didn't feel as tender. Does that happen?

Have our viability scan booked in for the 5th Dec. It seems like a lifetime away.

Are the rest of you feeling the same apprehension?

Xx

Yorkshirelass27 · 22/11/2017 22:55

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining in this thread. Had ET on Saturday and so the horrible waiting commenced. It's our first round, which we had to pay for due to my DH having children from a previous relationship. Only one D4 transferred and just trying not to get my hopes up. Since ET have had pains in my stomach, but nothing else.
Congratulations to all who have had BFP and wishing those still on this emotional treadmill lots of luck xx

willma86 · 23/11/2017 20:55

Welcome Yorkshire lass! Hope you’re doing ok.

We took our HPT last night (put it off for as long as poss!!) and got a BFP. In a complete state of shock / disbelief.
I just wanted to echo what others have said about symptoms in that I really had no idea when I tested. I felt a tiny bit nauseous today but could well have been the emotion of it all.
Good luck to all - wishing you lots of luck and courage xx

Ging78 · 23/11/2017 21:16

Oh Willma I'm so very pleased. Huge congrats xxxx

Yorkshirelass27 · 23/11/2017 21:25

Thanks for the welcome Willma and massive congratulations!!!
I stupidly tested tonight, resulting in a negative. Thinking I should have waited and/or purchased a FRER. Trying not to get disheartened xx

Minster2012 · 24/11/2017 08:20

Congratulations @willma86!! No symptoms does it again!! Massive 💕🌟⭐️😁😍to you!!

Welcome yorkshirelass, maybe leavevit a couple more days then test in the morning if you really want to test early...but a few of us, Willma & I included edited the full 2weeks!!

willma86 · 24/11/2017 09:23

Yorkshire I think you are still really early to test if ET was on Saturday. I know it’s so hard to wait.

Thank you all - we are so thrilled, mixed with a lot of anxiety over lack of symptoms. But I guess it all takes time and hopefully it’ll just all become more obvious one step at a time.

LondonGirl80 · 24/11/2017 10:37

Massive congrats Wilma!

Yorkshirelass27 · 25/11/2017 22:43

Thanks Minster, yes I think I just need to sit it out. Wilma, I'm finding this wait the worse part of it! In my mind I just want to know either way so I can plan ahead and deal with it. I know it's probably what most, if not all of us have felt.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend x
