IVF buddies September /October continued, heading into November & wearing VERY comfy stretchy leggings & trousers (perfect for Xmas too!!)

Haven't read your posts yet but wanted to update you first. Just came back and our embies are in! Well 2 of them. The 9 cells became a 12 cells and the 11 cells started compacting by the time they transferred them at 2:30pm. The Embryologist and Consultant were very pleased. Our test day is the 12/12. The other 3 will probably not make it they said but we never know. They will carry on monitoring them.

They highly recommended me to go on my silent retreat, but to stay away from Yoga. Walking mainly. I have asked can I eat? And of course they laughed but to eat as a pregnant woman. So no flipping Roquefort or stinky cheeses!!! 😱 Oh la la .....

Honestly this is an amazing cleaning! They checked my ovaries and they are perfectly fine and cleaned the uterus they said. Lining is good so now the waiting game. No I am not testing before, but I am pretty certain I will know/feel it. Then again I might not.

Carrying on my pessaries twice s day (on joy the passing wind will carry on!) and my Progynova went from 2 to 3 a day.

Star They look like great embryos!! Congrats!! I hope you won’t miss the cheeses?! I am so impressed with the silent retreat just after ET. I couldn’t do it, I have zero control over my thoughts lol. I have everything crossed for you!!

Aliona I think you made the right call... even a close commute can’t make up for missing weekends with your OH all the time :(

aliona ha ha you found me!! that hairdressers was insane!! Cocktails with glitter on tap with popcorn 🧜🏻‍♀️🦄! It was a great to myself before my wedding I had to work a second job to pay for it! Think your right as dinks said to have a think about it and wkends are my rest bite you need them!

dinks so glad things a looking good have a super evening my dear, head space wise I’m going ok do have down days but I think it’s ok to feel down because then the good days are great! 😊plus I love Xmas and I don’t want to be sad at Xmas time xx

atik you found me too! Most of the food I did cook however there are some from some amazing restaurants that’s I’ve been too... a lot were veggie or vegan places (although I do occasionally eat meat) have been told I have a cheesey grin! 😁

No word of a lie, in this whole process I haneber felt sick/nausea or burning. Gas is coming up instead of down to pass wind and I feel a bit dizzy....yeah yeah whatever Star.... 💕🌹❤️

Evening everyone!

So much to catch up on!!

So firstly, thank you everyone for all your kind words, I was passing on your thoughts to my friend earlier & saying what great support it is, we are thrilled it’s all good, DH is over the moon if now scared, it’s like all of a sudden it’s real because I was ill when we got the BFP it wasn’t real then it looked like it was being taken away...now I’ve seen a scan & a heartbeat it’s really real so it totally scared him into reality!!
...I feel practically normal though now I’m on high dose steroids I’m not allowed my cancer treatment which is bad so I need a plan for that which my family are worried about but in the grand scheme I feel ok, baby is main thing 😍...& my friend has stopped bleeding so if that stays then we have good shot...we have the 7 week IVF scan on 13th so we are focusing on that. It’s SOOO hard to keep it to ourselves when ppl are worried about me & we are worried about my friend & baby but like dinks we have as much reassurance as possible & allowed ourselves to celebrate tonight!!

Star honestly that retreat probably came at the perfect moment for you! Our embryo was compacting so let your 2 crazy embies settle in, enjoy your wonderful retreat & relax you crazy cat!! Sounds amazing!! What a relaxing start to the 2ww!!

aliona don’t worry about the job, you don’t need extra stress with your OH throughout this process so don’t worry (your ARE STILL A RUSSIAN PRINCESS!!)

dinks I hope you are able to rest up and the bleeding stops a bit, the lady today said it is quite usual and maybe inserting the pessaries a bit lower can help, especially as you are further along than us? Have you told your boss btw? It’s soooo stressful

We can’t wait to tell some our family just to share the burden a bit tbh as it’s so tough holding the emotion in along with “normal life” especially if I’m a bit ill as everyone is so used to me being so tough and strong and DH is only good if I’m strong...it’s bloody hard.

dbear I love Christmas, DH & I fell in love over Xmas, got married on 12th Dec, and now will be telling our families about this on Xmas day if we make it that far we have decided, so enjoy it and know that you are working towards something great xxxx

That’s so cute that u have all this things happening at xmas. I flew home last year on xmas day and there were literally 20 people in whole airport 😂 I love it!

Yes I am delighted to go on my retreat tomorrow, still need to pack mind you, but yes it came at a perfect time I do concur! Do you remember when I all told you about it a few weeks ago? And it is already here.

Maybe your karma is right 🌟🌟⭐️star, it’s your time to shine and your retreat is perfect timing that’s why those two embryos zoomed along in time!!

We are thinking of ways to tell our family on Xmas day, as we are hosting we will tell our family who are coming then swear them to secrecy as it will be about 9.5 weeks? But we want to do it as my brother & GF are up from London & then my parents are away for 3 weeks so it’s the only time to have both families together which we really want as even my brother doesn’t know we would need a surrogate so we want to explain & let sink in before going wider....we want to do something fun though...we had a wedding full of fun surprises so we will do something fun I think!

We will allow ourselves to think now!!
