Everything crossed for you whatwot that AF stays away, counting down days for us all this week! Not too long now!

We would ideally too wait until 12 weeks but it just may not be the easiest thing for our circumstances. My bro & his OH is coming up for Xmas & I only see them about twice a year, & DH’s fam all will us, & my fam all together on Xmas day whereas we can’t get them together due to diaries any other time. Then there’s loads of friends & extended family we see on Boxing Day that again we see once or twice a year all in one place at MILs so it provides a really good opportunity to tell ppl face to face about our situation so they can ask questions & we can explain, coming from us. Otherwise we would have to travel loads to tell ppl face to face that we want to tell that way to explain the surrogacy, & also run the risk of MIL (who has a VERY big mouth & not v tactful) telling everyone first & not explaining the surrogacy very well. It’s something DH & I actually disagree on, he thinks it would be jinxing telling ppl early but I think it’s just so much easier coz I want to explain to ppl & answer questions & we wouldn’t be able to do that if we waited to 12 weeks & tell parents first his family are notorious for them phoning everyone & telling news like wildfire.

If we get positive news the debate will rage on but I think we might find it v difficult to contain our excitement as it’s been v hard not to say anything anyway Confused

Just a flying visit from me, but wanted to say Rose I had no puking with OHSS, just massive swollen belly, felt like all my muscles were being pulled, so painful. If you’re worried call your clinic! OHSS is not fun! And you don’t need all of the symptoms for it to be present. Hope you are ok

RoseWrites · 19/11/2017 14:43

Just a quick check in to say I do worry it's that dinks. There are moments when I'm in agony. Which can't just be trapped wind from those damn pessaries? I was going to wait until OTD on Thursday when i go to the clinic. But as I've spent £ thousands on this I will call them tomorrow - i might as well get another appointment and get moneys worth! 😂
I do feel a bit better today. My stomach isn't constantly uncomfortable like it has been. But there are odd moments when it feels like my insides are being scrunched into a ball, or my ovaries are being skewered... Did you OHSS come and go?

Dbear35 · 19/11/2017 18:06

Just a quick hi from me this eve it’s been a manic wkend i hope everyone is ok and well.

Catch up fully tomorrow xx

dinksandbinks · 19/11/2017 20:10

Rose The pain did come and go, it was like extreme extreme bloating, and I even got the same shoulder tip pain I got with my ectopic. Have you gained any width around your waist? That isn’t going down? Is it hard to take a deep breath? I would definitely give them a call. Though they might ask you to come in, which means a trip to the clinic!

RoseWrites · 19/11/2017 20:31

Hmmm it does sound a bit like that dinks... taking a deep breath isn't too bad, but I'm really bloated. I have to undo the buttons on loose trousers or just wear jogging trousers. The thing that bothers me is the pain. Today it's not as bad, but I was up in the night twice as it was so comfortable. I probably look about 4 months pregnant.

I'll defo call the clinic tomorrow. It's not that far from my house so it won't take long to pop over if needs be. Thanks for the advice :) x

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 20:34

Call the clinic Rose, and fingers crossed it means you have s sticky embryo 😁

I wasn't going to say anything as I know everyone is being really good and not testing early... BUT I took a test this morning...

It came up as positive straight away. Quicker than the test line, but not as dark.

I had a 5 day transfer 8 days ago, so it's 14 days since my trigger shot.

Is it a BFP or just the trigger shot leaving my system?

Please don't judge me for testing early. The kick yesterday and the constant weird pains were messing with my mind. And I also obviously don't have the self control of you ladies 😃

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 20:50

Ha!! As if!! That’s awesome Rose!!! Don’t be ridiculous!! I certainly don’t care that you tested early, each to their own! I may have done the same thing after the “nudge” from step son, and certainly if it was just DH & I we would prob test at 10 or 11 days.

Should be pretty safe that the trigger is out by now....that’s fantastic congratulations!!! 💕🌟⭐️😁😊😍🤗

OP posts:
dinksandbinks · 19/11/2017 20:50

Well I wasn’t going to say, but late onset OHSS only happens if you get a BFP as it’s your ovaries going “oh crap, more hormones”. So.... fingers crossed!!!

I would have te

dinksandbinks · 19/11/2017 20:51

grrr posted too early, I would have tested early myself but the clinic did it for me at 12 days post transfer.

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 20:54

And DEFINITELY CALL THE CLINIC @rosewrites, for both your sakes xxxx

OP posts:
RoseWrites · 19/11/2017 21:01

Yes Minster I'm definitely calling the clinic in the morning :)

I'm really trying not to get my hopes up... I've spent the past 3 hours on my phone trying to find out how long the trigger shot stays in your system. I can't find anything medical/scientific/authoritative, but from the 10,000 posts I've read it looks like anything from 5 to 10 days. One post said 15 days, which is tomorrow, so I'll test again and see what happens...

I have gone from definitely not testing early to in all likelihood now testing every day until OTD on Thursday. I obviously have ZERO self control 😂

Fingers crossed tomorrow is good news too... 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 😃 xx

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 21:05

If it makes you feel better, if my friend IS pregnant then I’m going to make her test every day for a week & send me pictures to make it real, and that’s fully after the 2ww, so it’s not mad, it’s not a complete reverse of self control it’s just wanting to make sure it’s real!! 😁😁😁 (ps, she knows this!) and if we were testing early i would want to see the lines get darker...

You’ve waited a long time for this, I think a few days of enjoying it whilst it sinks in is fair enough!!! Xx

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 21:06

Oh, and we want the daily updates too please, or certainly I do to keep me going til weds please 🙈

OP posts:
RoseWrites · 19/11/2017 21:15

Not sure where my last message went, so you may get this twice...

Minster, I'll defo keep you posted. How is your friend? Is she still feeling quietly confident? Xx

Minster2012 · 19/11/2017 21:44

My friend is ok, in her words today, still no real symptoms to report other than the mild cramping of the first couple of days after ET & she’s still being sick but she was throwing up as soon as the evoril (something like that?) tablets were upped to 6mg (3 a day) let alone the 5 a day I think she’s taking now. Plus she’s got a stinking cold so she says she can’t really feel much, her boobs have been massive & sore since she’s been on any of the hormones so we can’t use that as any kind of an indicator!!

I don’t know if she’s quietly confident as such, it’s just she has said she feels similar to how she felt when pregnant for her own kids & she said she was absolutely sure then she knew she was pregnant (but it cld be psychological & wanting to be) so who knows. I have said to her to not get my hopes up, so I don’t put any weight on it as the drugs are so potent aren’t they & not said to DH as he still refuses to talk about it other than saying “2 days to go!”

2 days to go til we know, we just want to know!!

Testing day is now so close Minster. I'm keeping everything crossed xx

Starlumiere · 19/11/2017 23:07

Hello ladies,

I have been quite busy today between long walks, grocery shopping, Sunday lunch and injecting myself ha!

You have been busy hey?

Minster oh my god it's so soon now!! 😘

Rose yes calling the cleaning would be a good to do, if only as a precaution. The Consultant chose my short protocol, I guess because all my results are pretty good and we have a male factor. Also my menstruations are very regular. I have been on stims for 6 days already so not that short! Some on here have triggered after 7 days if I remember well. Tomorrow morning my second scan, exciting!

Dbear you little minx!!! 😂😂😂😂 OMG. Are congratulations in order? Bless you seeetie, so amazing!!! Why should we judge you honey? Let us know!!

How Is everybody else doing?

X

Minster2012 · 20/11/2017 06:44

@starlumiere good luck for your scan today! Hope your follicles are continuing to grow well & they find that illusive other ovary!!

@rosewrites fingers crossed for another positive 😁

RoseWrites · 20/11/2017 08:05

Star good luck with your scan today!

I have called the clinic and someone is going to call me back soon. I think i'll push for an appointment, just to put my mind at ease. And to see if there is anything that can be done to make my body slightly more comfortable.

I did another test this morning and it was another BFP. Whoop! Although we are REALLY trying to not get too excited. The clinic really emphasised that the only result which matter is the one on OTD (which is Thursday). My OH is doing a much better job of not getting excited than i am... I have a busy work day which will stop me Googling/thinking about it too much!

Hope everyone has a good Monday xx

Starlumiere · 20/11/2017 09:30

Ohhhhhhhhh Rose this is good news bless you! ✨💫🌟

Minster thank you and Rose I am now in the waiting room, will keep you posted! 😃

Minster2012 · 20/11/2017 09:30

That’s brilliant Rose, I think you’re well put trigger shot!

Good luck Star ⭐️ let us know how those babies growing!

Rose you saying you trying not to get excited. But surely u r. And no matter how excited we r or not -we all get really upset with negative results. U have a positive so I think you should get excited and enjoy it!! Because good things do happen 🙃

WhatWot · 20/11/2017 11:41

AF for me ladies. I'm quite heartbroken.
