IVF buddies September /October continued, heading into November & wearing VERY comfy stretchy leggings & trousers (perfect for Xmas too!!)

Star I hope I can just add it to my list of silly faultiness for no reason, like I have “sticky blood” it affects one in 10,000 ppl but means I have had 2 blood clots, one in my lungs & when I fly I have to have blood thinner injections. It’s nothing to do with the cancer, it’s not a horrendous thing, but we were like “right, add that to the list”, so I guess I think this might be something like that. According to Dr google it could be serious or it could be “many ppl have inverted T waves & nothing wrong with them” so that’s likely to be me...just a little bit more weird!

But these things are meant to spread about the population!!!

I’ve spoken to DH & DF (looking after dogs) & friend so now I’m off to a couple of shops then drive home for a hug from DM & pick dogs up before going to my house. There will be wine tonight!!

Of course I have cakes Minster, but not much sugar 😜. Listen girls, going for my scan or scam as Minster puts it tomorrow and it is with a full bladder. I just read it in my plan, do you know how much water and how long before my 9am appointment will I need to drink it all?

I can't wait for the weekend, I feel fine but quite tired 😁

Hey Star I usually drink at least one litre one before the scan. And sometimes top up a little 😅 first feels like it’s not enough but after one hour yes it is. Also all my scans were inside ones and required empty bladder 🤔

star i tried to not pee for a couple of hours beforehand, and I normally have a strong bladder, but for some reason I felt like i was going to wet myself. So I had a pee, and then had a quick cup of tea before i left the house - about 40 minutes before my appointment, and then asked for a cup of tea just before I went in. So I had probably under a pint of fluid in the 50 minutes beforehand, and the nurses laughed at full my bladder was on the screen. I don't have a particularly small bladder so it may not be as much as you think. If in doubt, down a few drinks in the waiting room! Good luck :) xx

Ok so I now think star is a waif like film star a like!! I am literally seeing a beauty from the l’oreal Advert (albeit slightly older but shared a younger man so may not be far off!)

I’m sure with a waif life figure you only need a couple of small green teas, I swear I have the bladder of toddler I constantly need a wee, I’m awful!! Massive good luck for you ✨✨⭐️🌟I hope you have lots of follicles growing well

Just came back from a facial (holistic one) and I snored !!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 After I had Fertility Reflexology and OMG I feel so much better, albeit the heat still steaming! 😬 My legs and feet were heavy, now I could dance without any problems 😜. I just finished objecting myself for the 3rd evening. So far, so good.

Rose Aliona Minster thank you for the information. I only drink water anyway - yes no alcohol, coffee or fizzy/sweet drinks (but I loveee my food - so won't be difficult but Rose I really appreciate the whole schedule you gave me, since I am an organiser freak, it suits me to the T! Thank you 😬

aliona it’s FriYAY!! Not long to go before 2pm, take hairy mutt out to pass the time!! Good luck and I hope it’s not too long before you get going -ask loads of questions and do a stock take of the medication you have already (& don’t have as u said I have some things) to remind them as we always forgot and they did so wave it front of them before you leave so you can get the rest/more whilst u are there to stop posting situation we had!! 😁

Hello all!

So First of all I drank for nothing as they wanted an empty bladder. I did tell the Nurse I know Aliona mentioned it and my OH was looking at me like , Aliona? Who is Aliona? LOL LOL LOL So anyway came down the chair, put my clothes back on and then went to empty myself which was lovely!!! . I did tell her it was written in my plan and she apologies. She told me only ET needs a full bladder. ET? lol lol I used to love the film!! Yes I am a bit hyper today .

So she could see clearly my left ovary and 8 follicles growing...couldn't find my right one as usual, but she was not worried and said a couple are at 9mm the rest 8mm, so where it should be at this stage. On Monday the Consultant will be here and will check me out. What is important is teh blood test, but from what she saw and hearing from me, I should carry on what I am doing, same amount and all . After my blood results they will call me if I need to adjust my meds.

Now girlfriends, shall I tell you the story about the blood test? Shall I ? Okay, okay here it comes NOW, the nurse started with right arm, trying to find a vein in the needle went and no could not get blood. She looks at me and says, shall we try on the right? I was like yeas of course! Same thing on the right....at that point I can see some sweat coming off her forehead....I am like are you ok? She said yes, but we need to take some blood today. Let me call the Consultant. She gets back and says he is doing an EC, sweating a bit more. I am like do you want to try the hands? Never had it done but know it will happen for the EC so thought why not hey? She looks at my left hand, puzzled and then my right and says I don't want to do this unless I am sure it will work. I said chose one and go for it ! She chooses the right and the OUCH! and no blood!!! LOL LOL At that point I starting laughing and she says oh I am glad you are laughing bless you I keep putting needles in you. Do you have time or do you need to go to work? to which I answered, I have a conf call in 2 hours, I need to go soon . She was like oh ok, I am so so sorry. So I stood up and said - I am going to the loo and when I am back you will do this. Taking blood is basic and you have done this for years! - and then she said I will drink a whole bottle of wine if it works!. Off I go, and I am back. She looks at my left arm and say - I will try here...the needle goes in and then she goes YESSSS !!! We were all laughing!!!! Bless her she was panicking and so apologetic but she got the blood she needed!! I now look like a drug addict though!

So what to say? so far so good - let' see what happens in my next scan on Monday morning! Oh and tomorrow morning I start with Centrotide...

Good morning ladies happy Friday!

Sorry for the radio silence this week has been insane, I can’t complain because the majority of this week I have been seeing friends, eating my weight in sushi and maybe having a few glasses of vino. But 3 nights out in a row and delayed trains home last night = I’m shattered so it’s p.js and a film tonight!

I went to LND last night to a fab veggie restaurant (I'm not veggie but friends are) and forgot how lovely the xmas lights look on oxford street, note to self must get up there more often!

What are everyone’s plans this weekend?

We got married in France this Aug and hired a place for a wk for a big group of friends it was incredible and we all got on so well (given some hadn’t meet one another) so are having a wedding wk reunion tomorrow afternoon/eve and we have just got back our wedding photos so we get to relive our day with our friends I’m so looking forward to it ! 

minster How are you doing, sorry to read that you’ve been having a nightmare recently. But don’t ever say faulty, what your going through, gone through proves you’re a fighter and that means you have fighting genes and a mini minster will be a force to be reckoned with!

Aliona how’s the Sahara face doing?  I had terrible acne from late teen to mid 20’s so have been trying anything to get rid of some scars too I love a facial too have you tried CACI? - Hope the app goes ok today let us know your plan ?

Your blood test story made me giggle sounds like a carry on film! … go 8 follys that’s good 9 and 8 are great on the first scan exactly what I have and I was ready for EC after my second scan .

Your story of your injections made me giggle, the bloating will come as the follys grow and I remember the night sweats for me were terrible!

Not long now and your be doing the trigger! I need to get booking my acupuncture and teaching my DH to do reflexology 

Hardy Although you have a DD secondary infertility is just a emotionally challenging than first infertility, all of us on here know how you feel and you have every right to be sad. However as Aliona says life is a funny thing and you never know a natural conception could happen!

But it’s not bad, really doing it just makes me feel good to spend some money on myself, as I never do. The doc was going on about prp, when they take your blood and then inject it where needed 😱 so many crazy things out there
