dbear don’t worry about getting the mood down, this is what the forum is for...support when times are good & bad.

As the others have said spotting & cramps really don’t seems to mean anything & i truly urge you to try & stick it out...it honestly could be that embryo having buried so deeply & then hatched so well inside that it’s twitched you inside &scratched you! It wants to make u proud 🐣

I don’t know if this will help but someone posted it previously & I find it fascinating to know what an embryo might be doing & why it might not be good to test, or why you might be able to test slightly early...

community.babycentre.co.uk/post/a20770595/the_2ww_and_early_testing

And cramping is definitely there. Big hugs & love. We’ll all be there, &it’s of these lovely ladies who are pregnant can attest to feeling similar & getting good results 💕

@Dbear35 try and keep the faith. I had myself convinced I was out. I had cramps and still do get the odd cramps. The morning I tested before I went to the loo I said to DH it was never going to be a positive that I knew my body and I had big time AF cramps.
Sending positive vibes and big hugs x

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 08:42

Morning ladies. How’s everyone? Dbear how r you today? Feeling any better? I know many of you have private treatment, are your clinics require you and partner to be present at all appointments? Coz it’s pretty annoying that my hospital keep asking for that (apart for scan appointments)

Atikakck · 08/11/2017 09:12

At 11 having app to check the lining a fink will b poor cz still am ill oh well

dinksandbinks · 08/11/2017 09:14

Morning everyone,

Scots I am totally made up for you!!!! That’s amazing!!! How are you feeling?

Minster OMG embryo on board!! That has come around really quickly... Well from here it seems so anyway lol. How are you? I have everything crossed for you!!

Dbear Oh pet don’t worry, it’s so awful that period symptoms are the same as implantation symptoms. It’s the awful combination of hope and terror. I have everything crossed for you and please don’t worry about bringing the mood down. We are here for thick and thin, and I’ve been through enough wobbles... we will be here for you!!

Aliona How long to your appt now? How are you doing now you’re a lady of leisure? Did your pup recover from the fireworks?? My cats were so scared they pooped on the floor. Minster Were your pups ok?? How’s gindog??

Star How are you and your many pursuits?! When do you start treatment? Injections take a bit of getting used to but now I just jab myself like a pro 😂

I’ve probably missed loads...

For me, I caved and went to the GP about the sickness. I ran out of things to throw up and was just gagging. I have been trying to work but in meetings yesterday I just could let stop myself gagging. Went to a lovely lovely lovely GP last night and cried because I am so tired and have mouth ulcers from throwing up, that are so painful I can’t even try to eat. He gave me drugs straight away and told me not to be a martyr, medicine is invented for a reason and I should use it, there are no medals for enduring -morning- ahem permanent-sickness. It actually means I have had a cup of tea!!!! Tea is amazing!!! And so far it hasn’t come back!!!! OMG I am so happy. The downside is a feel really guilty... I think I will be one of those mums who feels guilty about everything... there’s my Irish catholic heritage lol.

Sorry for rambling.

Love to everyone ❤️

dinksandbinks · 08/11/2017 09:18

Atik So sorry you’re still ill :( Fingers crossed for your appt. Let us know how it goes.

Aliona Mine is NHS treatment and they only insist on partners coming to the form-signing and treatment planning appointments. After that I’ve been to about half on my own. My clinic seems fairly laid back though

Starlumiere · 08/11/2017 09:18

Morning all!

Atik fingers crossed for you today sweetie Smile

Dbear how are you lovely? Hope better? Still spotting?

Minster I am glad you are finally able to relax a bit more. How are things with you?

Aliona I am in a private clinic and they do ask for both to be present. I am not sure it will happen for everything but they did ask. How are you today?

Goodluckjonathan76 how are you? It has been a while we have hear from you Smile

Have a good day all XXX

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 09:29

dinksandbinks A-ha!! “Irish heritage” the vision of you is getting more clear 😈😅 it’s very very good to hear that you found some help. I usually have no luck with gp but once I had this amazing lady! She stayed talking to me for 30 min after surgery was closed fixing my problem. Even rang me after a week after work to c how I was doing. I didn’t even care if problem gonna be solved, was just nice for once to get this attention and care 😄 I usually avoid any pills too, but sometimes u have too. Like in your case, can’t be good to feel so sick.
App next week Friday. Feels like ages. Do need to find job but not sure it’s possible atm. Sometimes I feel down but I am sure it’s all for the best.
Puppy ok now ) in fact she was unwell and have same problem like your cat 💩😅 but fingers crossed she is better now. Hate seeing her so scared 😕

Atik not feeling better at all? Been a while

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 09:31

Oh ok. I was thinking I am the only one like that. Find this annoying, constant days off for appointments and what for? He just sits there like a lemon 😂 says nothing apart from “hello. Goodbye”

Starlumiere · 08/11/2017 09:43

Dinks I am glad you find a way to feel better. I think it is great you managed to get yourself feeling good it is very important! Enjoy your teas and maybe a biscuit? Smile. I have tried to to have a "less" busy diary to allow me to rest as I should be starting the injections nest Thursday and I don't know how my body will react. I however will do my Yoga and meditation every morning, will go to the gym and have a few chilled outings in the countryside Grin. I have booked a silent retreat for a few days at the start of December. Should have gone to NYC for work, but I can't be bothered Wink. By the retreat either I will be pregnant and feel odd, or I won't be and the retreat will help me to sort myself emotionally for the next stage. I am sure I will need you ladies Smile

DH had a 10 metre fall 10 years ago and was in a coma for 1 month and they reckon that's the reason his swimmers don't go straight and we need an ICSI. He had to re-learn how to walk, talk, speak, eat and drink. He has done really well and is totally normal!!! He bought a little toy for the baby bless him ! I did not want to rain on his parade but I was like WHATTTTTT ??????? So you see mediation and Yoga keeps well balanced Wink

Aliona you make me laugh so much!!!! Love you girl! What kind of job are you after?

Minster2012 · 08/11/2017 10:03

Hello everyone,

dbear I hope you feel better, I agree with everyone else it’s terror, fear & wanting that makes everyone so mad...it’s only human reactions. Try & hang in there.

dinks so glad you’ve got something for the sickness & are enjoying tea again, bloody he’ll you’ve got months of this ahead & being someone who is kept alive by the miracle of drugs & have so much I practically rattle every time I walk I say go for it! Now u have a baby on board u need to look after yourself for its sake too which means u need to eat so allow some medicinal help. Glad a doctor helped u see.

star I love ur posts, I make my life seen so mundane! A silent retreat, i would go mad!! I bet u aren’t allowed phones or technology either.. how will we keep track of you?? How will you mumsnet???!!! 🤣

atik think positive, this time it’s your time, all your body’s energy is going into growing ur lining so that’s why you’re feeling rubbish maybe?!! 😊

I think goodluck doesn’t really check this thread, she’s more prolific on another one she set up where most ladies are at the same stage withBFPs & interesting to know Aliona that ppl have set up Facebook groups in due date order so u might know what ppl look like in future you super sleuth!

Gindog v good, learning well but very bitey & heavy to carry round before jabs (not as heavy as alionas mutt!) makes me think a baby growing to toddler will weigh a ton to carry 🤣😁. She didn’t care less about next door having fireworks which is good for a future gundog!

Morning all, hope everyone else the beautiful blue sky and sunshine that we have here in Newcastle.

Dinks never apologise for your emotions. As my mum always says, we are given emotions so that we use them :) hope you're feeling a bit brighter today xx

Dinks glad you managed to keep a cup of tea down! I do not have any catholic faith so I'm not sure why you feel guilty? About the drugs? Just get them down you - your baby wants food, not you puking up :)

Star sounds like you've got a restful few weeks coming up. I'd go nuts though in a silent retreat! Your OH's fall sounds nasty. So cute he got you a toy. Although I think i would not have had your zen calm, and definitely have said WTF :)

Minster glad gin dog is doing well, minus the biting!

I'm doing well. I was expecting to feel dreadful after EC, but so far seem to have dodged any side effects...Trying to keep busy at work and with DIY projects so I don't stalk the embryologists about how the embyros are doing!

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 10:47

Starlumiere I don’t have an idea about job. I spend all this time working in the cafe (5 year at the uni with diploma in economics 😂) but when I moved here I wasn’t sure about my English at first. And then no one cares about degree you get away from uk, they want u to finish at least a year of studying here which for me, non EU, costs 18000. Done with studying. But I also done with cooking too, so hopefully something better will come along one day.
And omg your story sounds familiar to me 😱 less than one year into knowing my OH he was in coma. Doctors said no cnhance at first. Then after a week they done scan and said “he will probably survive but will be in care for rest of his life”. 2 weeks later he was discharged and 3 month later back to driving. First 1,5 year we survived on my wage which was peanuts, no help from anyone. Horrendous mood swings from him, complete personality change. After year I wanted to give up every day, just couldn’t see him getting any better. What a change after 3 years! From someone who thought he was 10 years younger and needed a nap every few hours-back to normal. So lucky!!

Lol Minster! I am hoping for that, you must reveal yourself at the end of the journey. So far the clearest image is of Star for some reason. Prob completely wrong but it’s there
That’s good your dog was fine, hope nothing will change!
Doggy hiding from fireworks and day time when no bang bang around 😁 different dog day and night

Rose there’s a long tradition of Irish guilt/ catholic guilt! Something about it being good to suffer, and then feeling guilty about anything we do to remove that suffering?? Honestly I have no idea where it comes from... I clearly remember my mum and my grandma having conversations about all the things they felt guilty about 😂

dinksandbinks · 08/11/2017 11:01

p.s. Rose I’m really glad it seems like you’re going to avoid too many side effects!!! You’re back at work already too... I was so lazy and worked from home a whole week!!

Aliona and Star wow, amazing stories!!! I am so glad for both of you that your partners have recovered... sometimes bodies are amazing things, and the way we can heal ourselves is astonishing. Of course bodies then bless us with infertility but nobody is perfect!! You must be fabulous ladies to support your partners through such challenging times. I did some work for a brain injury charity once, and the impact that even minor injuries can have is unbelievable, I remember one guy who fel off his bike and banged his head, and afterwards could only speak in the second language he learned in school. He eventually got his first language back but it was incredibly tough for him. I have so much admiration for partners who support people through challenging tones. Bravo!!!!

Minster Glad that gindog passed the bang test!! Not so great about bitey-ness though!! Guess that’s a puppy thing? Btw I forgot to say, when I dried the clementines they were still a bit squishy, apparently you should cook them until they are hard and dry.

Btw.... does anyone remember cooking crisp packets in the oven and shrinking them????

Starlumiere · 08/11/2017 11:06

So, I just got an email from the Nurse to say she will call me this afternoon to make sure that all is clear for the next step! Oh gosh it is all happening now! Shock

Minster you are so cute with your kind words. Yes the silent retreat is no technology, no talking. I even have a separate from my partner! I will see how I feel, it is only for 3 days though, i might cave in and read but not write Wink we will see, no pressure, it will be whatever I want and feel Smile. I am very excited for you sweetie and from the bottom of my hear hope that you will get your BFP Smile

Rose that's great your EC went great and no side effect. I hope it will be the same for me. Fingers crossed for your call today ! Yes the toy was cute but deep down I was like NOOOOOOO !!!!! BAD OMEN!!!! He had tears in his eyes so my love for him overrode my fear and did not let him see it was not the right thing to do.....It was a bad fall and his parents were preparing his funeral....they had to reconstruct his whoe face bless him....he looks hot though , you would never think anything had happened to him!

Aliona OMG this is unbelievable! Bless him! It happens a lot more than people think! Of course you will find something, but maybe it is better for you to have this rest for this challenging procedure coming ahead Smile. What's OH? Husband something? lol Do you really see me as a Bunny? LOL LOL I am not just all Yoga and Meditation......You make me laugh so much! LOL LOL LOL

RoseWrites · 08/11/2017 11:08

Dinks I think I might have overdone it yesterday - I walked a couple of miles and worked all day, and then hit a wall (and got a bit grumpy) by the evening... i inhaled a bar of chocolate which made life better!

I don't think you should feel guilty about anything. Life is far too short to suffer! :) (I'd make such a rubbish catholic!).

I used to love shrinking crisp packets in the oven! I'd make them into keyrings!

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 11:34

Shrinking crisp packets in the oven What?!? I have to google that 😂

dinksandbinks You right. Brain injury even a small one can have dramatic change..he was confusing me with ex partners, or getting angry for no reason. Beginning of relationships, you want to be all “roses and movie dates” and instead you caring for someone and get treated like rubbish. Glad it’s all over. Although anxiety is through the roof still. Even simple cold he has makes me stress and have sleepless nights. Can u imagine me as mum?!?? 😅

Star that’s the problem, one part of me saying “u need money get a job” other part saying “relax and get on with ivf and then decide what to do”. We will c. Can I go to NYC instead of you?!?!!😍😍 although I doubt they let me in the county.. I am a dodgy Russian innit 😅
OH (other half) lol I am still confused with all this abbreviations. And yes I have clear pic of you, not as bunny but have an idea 🙃😉

Atikakck · 08/11/2017 12:44

dinksandbinks · 08/11/2017 14:08

Aliona Maybe it was a UK thing??!! I am so glad Rose know what I mean!!! I swear I wasn’t alone... We used to make key rings and necklaces... I remember being really jealous of a friend who got her ears pierced for her 10th birthday and she made crisp packet earrings.
www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2011/nov/01/how-to-make-tatty-devine-necklace

Atik that sounds like good news?! Are you relieved? Hope you start to feel a bit better!!

Aliona19 · 08/11/2017 14:39

Minster2012 · 08/11/2017 14:40

Gonal F 300IU and Menopur150IU - do you remember what you did have to take? this is for my second day of cycle. It feels so real now ! Grin

Atikakck · 08/11/2017 16:44

Minster a rly hope dat finally it's my time xxx

Starlumiere · 08/11/2017 16:46

I am sharing my plan so far with you ladies:

The Gonal F and the Menopur can both be given in the evening and from day 6, you can start the cetrotide in the morning.

The scans may be on the 17th and the 20th, 22nd and possibly the 24th.
