I saw that we were nearly hitting 1k posts 😱 so thought I'd make a new one before we got cut off!
Hope everyone finds us!!!!
chivintassle · 20/08/2017 20:27
leanne and lola fingers crossed for both of you, I know it's so tough, but you're all so strong dealing with all this. Big hugs.
gamblers mine was straight out of fridge last time, was ok! Just shut your eyes 🙈(After found spot you want 😂)
Good luck for everyone else doing stuff tomorrow xx
chivintassle · 20/08/2017 20:29
P.S thanks biscuit at least one of us is technically able 😂
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 20:41
Ha ha @BiscuitBill that has been making me nervous for some time! You guys are my lifeline and didn't know how to make another one and link so thanks!
Trigger done, don't know why but I feel very nervous about the trigger. The nurse said its same as every other except dial it and not squirt test needed. I stupidly read the instructions which said BEWARE of air bubbles. Well it didn't say that at all but it talked about them a lot and it's freaked me out. It's sub cut so shouldn't be a problem. I don't think I left it in for the 10s it told me to. Thats it the last month is buggers cos I fucked the trigger shot! It stings a little now so hoping that means I've done it right.
Leanne1185 · 20/08/2017 20:43
Gamblers don't worry Ull have done it properly!! Is it ovitrelle? X
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 20:44
Yeah! That's the one. Think we are on the same drugs cos we are Scottish? 😂
Floofles · 20/08/2017 20:52
Thank you for the thread bill
I have spent the entire day snoozing on the sofa! I can't believe the time, I've done a literal 1200 steps and that's been mainly driving home and then going to the toilet 17million times!
Leanne and Lola big hugs all round, I can't even imagine the fear of the 2ww
I'm starting to consider more thoroughly wether I'm going to be able to work or not during the 2ww today - other teachers what did you do? Are you planning to do? have you done in previous rounds (if other teachers have done previous rounds)?
Yay for official bfps - I don't think I could tell my clinic early! Now I know the nurses better I'm trying to appear stronger (not consciously but I definitely hid my tears last time I cried there so they couldn't see and I don't want to tell them about my panic - which I know isn't healthy - but there we go!) So I wouldn't want to tell them about a bfps, but I think I'm going to be a daily tester!
With regards to 'blame', my DH has useless sperm (not totally useless hopefully, but certainly in need of icsi) and I have amenorrhea from pco with cycles of up to 9 months (so very probably anovulatory).
2 years of DTD nearly every other day (minimum 3 times a week) lead to nothing at all, so in all likelihood were both to 'blame', but I do blame his condition more than mine... I guess because his low sperm count meant we skipped all the other steps we could have tried.
It's not a personal thing, but both of us are aware that with someone else there's a chance I could get pregnant maybe if I had a stress free existence and lost about 3 stone... He is still way more chirpy than me though, and is completely happy to go down an adoption route if necessary in the future! I think in general were being not an awful team about this all (but it is round one).
Is anyone else feeling generally sore (TMI) from the amount of bodily fluid they have to keep wiping away? My face hurts from wiping tears away and the resultant snot too when I have a proper meltdown, I've got mildly loose bowels (I've been to the loo like 5 times today) so my bottom is sore, and I've been peeing about once every two hours for the past 3 weeks, plus having to wipe away excessive lube from being probed every other day, I think I might have literally rubbed out my vagina!!!
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 20:55
Yeah I am. I feel very privileged up here getting 2 funded cycles, our friend down south only got one then had to self fund.
You can pay privately where I am but it's no where near the cost of a private clinic. Don't know if that's common but thought it was pretty good middle ground.
Leanne1185 · 20/08/2017 20:58
I'm a teacher and returned to work on Wednesday, I enjoyed 4 days after ET to TRY and relax however being at work is a healthy distraction for sure and took my mind off it! However over the next cpl of days imagine I'll b in the loo every 5 mins checking for af lol! Know what u mean about the bodily fluids 😂 I'm surprised I have any tears left xx
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 21:01
X post with you floo.
Sore, the peeing - before all this I sometimes had to pee every 15 mins due to my terrible bladder. Since I made a conscious effort to 'train' it during this process I'm delighted with how little I go to the loo. I used to get nervous if I couldn't find a loo before an hour car journey.
Tears, my hay fever is terrible and not taking my anti histamines so my eyes and my nose is sore from rubbing and snotting then praying the nasal spray went in.
My tummy is sore from all the fluid and I won't touch it or lie on my tummy.
The lube is giving me the boak!
My arms are sore from the blood taking. Today they went on top of a lumpy bruise to take blood!
I'd say we have a right to be feeling a bit meh!
Anyone watching cbb? At least we ain't as batshit crazy as that sarah one!
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 21:03
Posted too soon. Time off!
I've read a lot that says you should take the first few days off. I know my work want me back but my job is very stressful and even when it's not it has the ability to change in a second and become stressful if a patient takes unwell.
No idea what I'll do.
Leanne1185 · 20/08/2017 21:06
Haha yeah I'm obsessed with cbb, chads going to drop kick that fruit loop as soon as they're out x
Leanne1185 · 20/08/2017 21:39
My mobile number is 07... just kidding!! Floofles I know this sounds weird but I wish it was me who Was to 'blame'as I think I would have handled it better than my DH. They have to keep up their macho demeanour x
thirtyplusone · 20/08/2017 21:49
We're both broken in this relationship, my friend described me as having a Ferrari but being stuck on the m1 50mph average speed limit (lots of eggs, tubes blocked!) then OH having next to no sperm. Though as our tests went on his numbers improved weirdly.
By the end of the daily scans probing bloods injections etc I felt so violated! Leave my body alone!! Poor thing needs some down time. Had my first bath (and curry🤣) in ages tonight. So good.
Few days post collection im even more tender than I was with all the eggs in the coop. Night time is the most painful and going for a wee ALL THE TIME 🐎
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 22:00
This sounds really soppy and maybe a bit daft since we don't really know each other but I'll miss you guys when we all drift off. You guys definitely know this is not a drunken post ha ha ha 4 weeks sober and not one bugger sponsored me!
Leanne1185 · 20/08/2017 22:04
Haha we could really have made a fortune for charity with our soberness...next time 😂 I know what u mean I'll miss chatting with u guys too!maybe we could start a pregnancy chat in the coming weeks/months x
BiscuitBill · 20/08/2017 22:05
Haha but now the old thread is playing with my OCD.. I feel like we need to get it to 1k 🙈
Ahhh gamblers I feel the same! You guys have kept me sane, and allowed me to spill my guts! Strange how I can't open up to my closest friends or family but you guys get every gory detail!
Re CBB Sarah really is so unstable isn't she 🙈 feel quite sorry for her! I think she thought this would be good for her career but it's been the opposite!
ChoChang · 20/08/2017 22:05
Aww gamblers! Well i guess any of us fortunate enough to get bfps can stick together. Id think it might be quite a different experience for us emotionally than a lot of other people whove not struggled, so it would be nice to go through it together. I only hope we all get to this time!
thirtyplusone · 20/08/2017 22:09
I'll have to join you a month later if all goes to plan 🤰🏼🤷🏼♀️
thegamblersmrs · 20/08/2017 22:09
Yay! Didn't think of that. Hope we all make the cut.
Re sarah: she has no self awareness but lots of entitlement.
