IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

@BeHereNow31 fingers and toes crossed for the little one inside you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 it would have been lovely to have a frosty but your focus now can be on the one and only! 😁

BeHereNow31 · 19/02/2018 19:26

Hope so! Little back ache tonight, but trying not to look into it! 🙄🙄
Hope work does ok tomorrow fox x

Afternoon ladies ,
Nothing new really. Besides extreme tiredness and moodiness I don’t have any symptoms. I’m debating how it can be meds.... I’m taking exactly the same meds I did for weeks leading up to transfer. No changes in dose or meds. Literally day after transfer and I’m tired and irritable... I have few pulls and tugs here and there but nothing noticeable really.
@BeHereNow31 how are u feeling?

BeHereNow31 · 20/02/2018 20:32

@Fox fingers crossed for you. I don’t want to say your symptoms sounds promising, because I have no actual idea what symptoms we should be getting!!

I’m ok. Had a lovely day out today. Had a heavy feeling in my womb, which I’m trying hard to ignore. I’m still tired, and still want to eat lots of carbs.

How was being at work? Xx

Fox23 · 20/02/2018 20:57

@BeHereNow31 work was ok. I wanted to kill everybody. My poor assistant just kept sayin- yes boss! No boss! I felt sorry for him. Hormonal women are really scary! 😂
Tomorrow is my appraisal and honestly- I don’t even care to prepare... I don’t even recognise myself... it’s really odd.
Food... ok... I can’t stop eating!!!!!!!! Anything, everything and the more the better! 😁

BeHereNow31 · 20/02/2018 21:04

I really can’t remember my mood during FET. Sometimes I wish I wrote things down to look back on, then I think I’ll just over analyse everything!!! You just need to let the rage out! Lol.

Any chance you think you will test early? Xx

Fox23 · 20/02/2018 21:36

@BeHereNow31 I’m actually writing sort of diary for future reference if needed.
Testing early or not... my DH has categorically prohibited me from testing early and I sort of agree that he should have say in when to test. But will I sneak in a test or two? I may...
what about you? Will u test early?

BeHereNow31 · 20/02/2018 21:42

My husband has always been against me tearing early... which is fair enough- it failed last times too. I’m really worrying tonight, and feel like I want to know either way now! 😖😖 xx

Fox23 · 20/02/2018 22:06

It’s so so difficult and we both (and @Janefx40) are all too familiar with this feeling... I think I will test in few days. I will then keep it a secret from DH just to make him feel better - he doesn’t have to know...
I agree, I want to know now as well... 🤞 who knows, I may find willpower to resist over the next few days!

BeHereNow31 · 20/02/2018 22:16

Just got to do what you can to help you through this!

Trying not to feel guilty about what I eat too. Last times I always tries pineapple, nuts, avacado. Now I’m not really doing that. Have you changed the way you eat? I think it’s best just to relax tbh
Take care xx

Janefx40 · 20/02/2018 23:09

Just realised Ladies it is one week today! 7 days feels like an eternity but you are so nearly there...unless of course you do decide to test early. I thought about it but didn't in the end. Will you!

Xxx

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 09:28

@jane 😱 feeling scared! Need to have a day to calm myself lol x

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 10:16

Not having a good day emotionally. 😞 finding it hard to cope, I think x

Fox23 · 21/02/2018 10:25

@BeHereNow31 oh darling, what happened? Does it feel like mini panick attack? Just relax! Take a nap or maybe cook something elaborate- that will take up some time and will be amazing to eat ! Long walk? Shopping??? Ok, not that easy I know, but be kind to yourself. Just think/ stressing will not achieve anything. I keep repeating that over and over!

Janefx40 · 21/02/2018 10:26

@BeHereNow31 I'm sorry you feel rubbish. I know it's hard to believe but it is probably the progesterone. It makes you feel rubbish but it is helping your womb lining grow thick and helping the embie.

It's too early for you to be feeling any real symptoms - I think you were Day 3 transfer so implantation is happening maybe today or tomorrow and Friday. So feeling sad is crap but it doesn't mean anything about whether or not it is working out in there.

What are you doing today? Any plans? X

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 10:32

I was feeling an ache/ pain in my womb area. Last two tries, I had period pain, so I don’t want to feel anything the same as last time. I’m just having a wobble today, because it’s getting close to test day, and I’m worried.

I’ve been feeling a niggle/ burning in my right side. Swapping between my back and front. Tbh, I am a worrier anyway.. especially when I’m hormonal!!!

Think I’ll try organise and tidy the house. I’ve abandoned it recently. And take the pup for a walk
Thanks for chatting. It does help xx

Janefx40 · 21/02/2018 12:29

@BeHereNow31 tidying sounds productive.

I've never been pregnant other than this recent chemical but everyone says it feels the same as getting your period. It is so so hard not to over analyse and I know I did it - but you really can't tell anything from what your body is doing. A twinge can be implantation or just a twinge.

Do you have any pals you can meet up with today? Go for a nice coffee? Distraction. Distraction. Distraction.

I'm sorry this is such a tough time x

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 14:38

I know, @janefx40 there is no way of knowing what is going on! Xx

Janefx40 · 21/02/2018 16:09

@BeHereNow31 I think that's what makes it so hard - trying to find or something that there is no way of knowing.

I just had my NHS appt. I didn't know what to expect as I am over 40. Was expecting them to offer tests although I've already done them all.

Anyway they just straight out offered me a round of ICSI. Can't believe it! And she said there is no waiting list!

I knew my trust offered to over 40s in the past but I'd heard about all the recent cuts so wasn't expecting anything.

She was surprised that I had gone private first but when I explained that we didn't know how long the NHS wait would be or if they would offer me IVF, she understood!

Feel quite excited! Like there are more options than I had realised!

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 16:27

Excellent news for you! A bad thing is always having to wait- so good news no waiting list too.

At least there’s some positive news xx

Fox23 · 21/02/2018 17:07

Omg!!! @Janefx40 that’s the best ever news!!!! Any indication on time scale?

Girls, I couldn’t wait any longer. I convinced my husband to allow me to do test. I did.
I’m pregnant!!!!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 17:32

@Fox23 aww. I could cry for you! Happy tears obv. What made you do it today? Brilliant news ❤️❤️

Fox23 · 21/02/2018 17:48

@BeHereNow31 thank you!!!! I did it because I felt good about this whole thing. Against all advices I stopped being objective and somehow couldn’t get planning pregnancy out of my mind. It was getting to the point where the fall would be too painful. So I said to my DH- if it’s negative it’s ok, it’s so early to test anyway, but if it’s positive- it will put my mind at rest. And being stressed is not good. He agreed and I did! 🤞🤞🤞

😯😯 I cant believe it came up so early!!! That’s great.

I’ve been really bad. Googling symptoms! Just not doing well mentally today! But until now, I was coping quite well. Xx

BeHereNow31 · 21/02/2018 17:51
