IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

@BeHereNow31 think soft cloudy and mushy food. I know- last thing you want is soup or porridge after everything you’ve gone through, but please don’t repeat mine or Janes mistake- not worth it. It’s beyond words painful!
How was anaesthetic? I remember it being the best ever feeling! Apparently that’s what Michael Jackson used to sleep (according to anaesthesiologist) oh, and kept proclaiming my love for all nurses after I woke up 😂😂😂😁😲

Was a good sleep tbh! Last ec I woke up a bit during, and was awake as soon as it was over. This time, slept all the way through, and it took me quite a while to wake back up. I’m more sore than last time though. Luckily I can just lie in my bed. 🙂

Oh, I can see it being addictive if you have easy access to it! Xx

I was ok after eating. I was starving! Lol. Still sore today, but going to try get up a move about a bit.

Only 2 have made it to embryo stage, so feeling pretty stressed out right now. Will speak to them tomorrow to find out when transfer will be x

@BeHereNow31 have you heard from them yet? (No pressure to tell us news of course if you don't feel ready to).

@BeHereNow31 ah I'm so sorry to hear that. You know what I'm going to say...you only need 1! I realise that doesn't make you feel better tho and I know how stressful it is tho especially when you produced so many eggs.

Did you do IVF or ICSI?

I know...
ICSI. Last time 4 made it (only could use 2 in the end though). Transfer day could be tomorrow... but could also be day 5. I’m going to be crazy stressed!!!

@BeHereNow31 ah it's really tough. You just have to have faith in your clinic and those two little seedlings but it's not easy.

I'm ok. I was super stressed when my hcg went up to 80 - my period had started so I couldn't really hope for a miracle baby so was worried about later miscarriages and ectopic. But hcg went down again to 51 so we are going in the right direction.

Now that is resolved, I'm just feeling sad again that it hasn't worked. I did another home test yesterday just because I wanted to see a positive before it was all over in case I never get another one. How sad is that? But then it's weird that the only positive home tests I've ever had, have been when I've known for certain I wasn't having a baby. Life eh?!

But I'm ok really all things considered

@BeHereNow31 it's ok. It is sad but this is further than we have ever got before - have to hold onto that.

We only have one frostie so will be doing stims again - probably in April. I have to decide whether to do immunes in the meantime. I also have my NHS appt next week. Not sure if they'll offer me anything at 41 and also whether I would do it there anyway. Yes I would love to save money but no sure I'd want to change clinics.

It's cheering me up to think about your little seedlings growing in their Petri dish!

@BeHereNow31 so, it’s not what you expected but you can’t be upset that you have 2 little embryos waiting to try! Be positive and happy for them 😁💕💕💕 please let us know when your transfer day is!!!! And water, water, water....
@Janefx40 it’s good news 😊 maybe bit sad, but you can start planning next steps now! I’m sure little frosty is desperate to get out of the freezer 😊
Had my last day at work and am in holiday mode already! Off to Hastings tomorrow! Dingy, cold rainy and... super quiet holiday! Sooo relaxing! Then on Friday will hop on the train, into London and have my two Frosties transfered 🤞🤞🤞🤞then back again to Hastings- so excited!

I just want to keep eating! My belly is sooo full and bloated. But I can’t stop. I do need to drink more tho.

Hi girls,
On my way to hospital now transfer at 11.30. Yesterday went for a long walk, and then fell asleep at 6!!!!! That was it- woke up this morning 12 hours later 🤭🤭🤭
