IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

meadowlark3 · 02/08/2017 19:21

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

How are you feeling? **

Fox23 · 22/10/2017 19:14

Hi girls,
So, I’m home and on a total emotional roller coaster... it hit me real hard when I realised that baby was 2 months already... anyway today was tad easier. I have been signed off for two weeks and I think I will need it. I have abit of pain as I lost my left tube. I have 3 keyhole cuts, that are healing ok. I’m still bleeding and just waiting for it to stop. Next step will be waiting for AF and then another one... just feels like it will never end 😔 I’m so gutted I don’t think there is a word to describe it.

Scotslass01 · 22/10/2017 22:18

Awww Fox, I am absolutely heartbroken for you hunny. You have been through the unthinkable. Massive hugs 😘

Ging78 · 23/10/2017 09:17

Hi Fox

I am so incredibly sorry. It sounds awful.

You are in my thoughts.

Xxxx

meadowlark3 · 23/10/2017 19:51

Oh fox, it's really awful. I'm so sorry. I hope you can take the time to rest and grieve. Sending you more hugs. X

Evening girls,
So my bleeding has sort of stopped so I guess first milestone has been reached.
Scots- I have my fingers and toes and everything crossed for you. You are the only one to be successful from our group and I’m so pleased for you ☺️
Meadow, Ging, beherenow and Scots-please let me know if you join other threads, as we are on this journey together- weather it’s longer or shorter journey- it’s still something we are doing together.
Genuinely- without your support I would have crumbled and I would like to see all of us get lucky at the end!
PS- yes, I’m still on morphine tablets, so I’m allowed to be tad philosophical 😆
And you know, my sister in law, over the last 7 years has had one successful pregnancy but she has had two miscarriages- at 16weeks plus and although I didn’t understand the pain at the time, it’s what keeps me going... she is now 24 weeks 😊
Oh, and it’s our wedding anniversary today- 8 years 🌷

Scotslass01 · 24/10/2017 07:44

Hey Fox,
I've been thinking about you was wondering how you were.
Awww thank you hunny. I am so terrified something is going to go wrong. It's stopping me enjoying the fact we actually managed to get pregnant.
I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through. I'm heartbroken for you.
Big hugs xxxx

Ging78 · 25/10/2017 18:57

Hi ladies

I hope everyone is well.

Fox I hope you feel even a tiny bit better. I hope you guys managed to do something to celebrate your anniversary. I'm glad you're talking about the next steps. Are you going to use the frozen ones?

Scotslass how are you doing now? Are you getting symptoms?

Meadowlark they never tell me the protocol but I don't think I'm down regging. I've started on 2 oestrogen tablets which I will up to 3 on Saturday. Our consultant has assured us our chances are better with the next one but I'm finding it very hard to feel in any way excited. The good news is my trip to Ireland is back on and I have planned to spend all day Saturday with my 6 year old goddaughter. I don't think the oestrogen agrees with me. I feel quite fuzzy headed. Anyway one of these days it might all be worth it... for all of us. Fingers crossed xxx

BeHereNow31 · 25/10/2017 20:28

Will see you guys on the Dec/ Jan thread!

Fox, hope you’re managing to rest

Scots, hope you’re doing well. Just take each stage as it comes xx

Scotslass01 · 25/10/2017 21:23

Hi ladies,

Ging - that's great this are starting. You will be pleased to get going again. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Fox - how are you doing hunny? I hope you are ok.

BeHere - yup nowt else for it.

I'm fine. Feeling tired and have sore boobs. Have had a couple of instances where I've felt a wee bit yucky for a while but it passed. I will be 6 weeks on Friday. I can't wait for my scan a week on Monday. Also get points where I feel quite sore.

X

Fox23 · 27/10/2017 21:11

Afternoon ladies,
How are you all feeling?
Scots- how is pregnancy going? Any news? Feeling good?
Ging- so pleased to hear you have started new cycle! I can’t even tell you how much I’m hoping everything goes well for you!
Beherenow- Just joined FET jan thread. I need to find a focus and hopefully that will help me.
So, I’m doing so so. I do cry over and over every day. Just catches me and I burst out in tears. My DH was actually more worried about what could have happened if I hadn’t made it to hospital on time (as I was classed as critical) but I keep thinkink about how I made it to BFP Just to get 3_5% chance of getting ectopic pregnancy. Shit shit luck. So, for DH it’s given even more determination to keep me focused on future, and I’m trying to do the same.
I also decided I will push for two FET.... what do you think?

meadowlark3 · 30/10/2017 21:28

Scots, thinking of you and hoping your scan was alright today. Please let us know how you're getting on when you have a mo. X

Fox, thinking of you too and hoping you are recovering alright. X

Sending good throughts to everyone else xxx

Hi

Meadow - My scan is Monday coming. I just want it now to know all is ok.
I'm still feeling fine. Some tiredness, feel wobbly if I don't eat regularly and peeing constantly apart from that all feels ok. Hence why I'm desperate for the scan as I don't feel pregnant yet.

I hope all you lovely ladies are ok. Big hugs all round.

Fox23 · 04/11/2017 18:59

Afternoon ladies,
Been quiet here lately 🙂
How are you all doing?
Scots- how are you feeling?
Meadow- anything new with you? How are things?
I’m doing ok I guess... I’m always the most positive person (if I may say so myself) but it’s been really really tough last few weeks. I went back to work, and it was really difficult as everything seems pointless and annoying.
My bleeding finally stopped last week and now I’m desperately waiting for AF, so I can estimate when I can start FET. Having some sort of countdown really helps
Hope u all doing well,
Love 💕

BeHereNow31 · 04/11/2017 19:50

Hi!
As soon as it hits December, I will be starting/ joining the thread! Smile

Good luck for your scan Scots

I have actually not had ivf on my mind much. Got a puppy, and just doing nice things, exercising and eating healthy (ish 😉)

Hope you’re all keeping well xx

BeHereNow31 · 04/11/2017 22:06

And thinking of you Fox. It must be so hard 💕 do you think counselling would help at all?
I did try it at the beginning, but not sure if I would go back. Suppose it depends on circumstances etc xx

Scotslass01 · 05/11/2017 14:38

@Fox23 so nice to hear from you. You have been through so much don't be to hard on yourself and don't expect to much of yourself just now. I'm glad you have something to focus on and things will be moving forward for you soon.
I'm feeling ok. Get periods when I feel a bit yucky but on the whole I'm fine. Xx

@BeHereNow31 thank you. I'm actually feeling really apprehensive about tomorrow. I'm just hoping and praying all is ok.
Awww a puppy! What breed?

X

Ging78 · 06/11/2017 10:17

Hello

Hope you're all well.

Scotslass best of luck today. I hope it goes well and goes some way to reassure you. Hopefully it's a special day.

Fox I'm still thinking about you. I'm glad to hear you sounding happier, positive and looking forward. Fingers crossed for af so you can get started again soon.

Meadowlark hope you're good and things are progressing well.

Beherenow the puppy sounds fab. Bet it's keeping you busy.

Hope everyone else is OK.

I'm having my transfer on Wednesday. Feeling apprehensive as my oh is on a mandatory training course and I'll be on my own. Have acupuncture after so need to travel there before in can go home to lie down. I didn't a natural killer cells blood test and it came back elevated and so I'm also on steroids since Friday.

Onwards and upwards eh ladies?

Xx

Scotslass01 · 06/11/2017 20:44

Hey,
Today was truly amazing. I saw my wee baba and seen and heard the heartbeat. It was absolutely amazing. I am over the moon. Measuring at 7w4d. So so happy xx

Fox23 · 07/11/2017 08:08

Omg Scots! That’s truly amazing!!!! I’m so so happy for you! I bet u can’t stop smiling 😊 congratulations 🌷
Ging- did u wait 2 or 1 AF cycles before this transfer? I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by!!! You have that crazy two week wait again ahead of you! It’s awful that your DH can’t be with you, but it’s about the result, right? 😊 fingers crossed!
Beherenow- puppy! As Ging said- that will keep your mind of things until the time has come to start again! That’s wonderful!

I’m back at work, few days now and it’s actually good, as my mind is off what happened. Now I need to lose weight before I start again, as I gained so much whilst pregnant. I never gain so quickly and I didn’t overeat... maybe it was all the meds’ and hormones...so diet now! Need to lose just over a stone so I guess it’s good I’m not having transfer next month or weight may hinder outcome.

Xxx

Ging78 · 20/11/2017 10:59

Hi ladies

I hope you are all good.

Scots hope your pregnancy is going well.

Fox hope you've recovered and are ready to start again. It must be coming soon.

Meadowlark hope those tests are going well and it's all going on the right track.

Be here now you're starting in December aren't you? It's coming close.

Our update is out fet worked. The 2 tests we did at 6am very definitely positive. We couldn't believe it. In fact my oh stood in my way for ages as he couldn't believe it. We are so used to not seeing a line and so thought we were seeing things.

It's early day and we know we need to be cautious. Trying to remember that we are not out of the woods anytime soon.

I lost all hope last week and was convinced it hadn't worked and never would. Please keep the faith ladies as it does work sometimes just maybe not straightaway.

Still have my fingers crossed for all of you xxx

Fox23 · 20/11/2017 11:53

Omg! Ging!!!!! My darling!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!! I’m sooooooo happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
💋💋💋🌻🌻🌻🌻

BeHereNow31 · 20/11/2017 15:03

Very happy news Scots and Ging. So nice to hear that this process can work 😊

I’m a mummy to my wee pupp the now 😂

Ging, yes I phone the Hospital in December to start. We actually have a follow up appointment this week. To look into why the last cycle may have failed.

Wishing you all the best x

DanNica · 21/11/2017 14:55

Hi ladies,

I'm hoping that everyone is well.

I just wanted to share my good news with people. Its so difficult keeping it from family and friends in these early stages when you just want to shout it from the rooftops.

On Thursday 9th October we received the call from the clinic to say that we had a positive blood test. Our first round of IVF has worked.

This Friday we will be going for our first scan :)

My Husband and I convinced ourselves from the very start that this would not happen for us the first time. Things never seem to come easily to us. I sat in the clinic on numerous occasions and just wished that I wouldn't have to go through it all again. I had underestimated how physically and mentally draining the process would be.

So for anyone in the same position as me - well I hope the morning sickness isn't too unpleasant.

For anyone who is just starting out on their journey, good luck on the emotional rollercoaster. I hope you all receive the positive results you want.

And for those lovely ladies who are still trying after failed attempts, then please know I admire how strong you all are to continue on this journey when I imagine that sometimes you probably question is it all worth it. Your day will come.

Love and hugs to you all

xxxxxxx

Scotslass01 · 21/11/2017 19:40

@Ging78 absolutely amazing news!!! I'm over the moon for you. So so so pleased. Massive congrats chica.

@DanNica woohoo huge congrats.

@BeHereNow31 & @Fox23 hope you are well ladies.

All is going fine with me. That's me 9wks 5days. Still battling with the nausea but it is easing a bit thankfully. Still so tired.
Counting the days down to my next scan. It's taking forever.

Big hugs all
Xx
