Hi all! I know there's a June/July thread but I've started this one as I'm so far behind everyone else and wanted to find others at the same stage as me!

We're due to start a FET after a failed fresh cycle in march resulted in a CP. We got 5 Frosties which I'm so pleased with and we're putting two frozen ones back this time.

AF came yesterday, so I'm booked in for scratch on 24th of this month and start DR on 22nd.

I joined a thread on my last cycle and it helped me so much as I am very private with all of this. So I'm hoping to find others to share with again 😊

I like it leanne. Need all the positivity. Just had a fight with OH as it's not convenient for him to give me a lift to 7.45 scan tomorrow. Argh!!! Rant over.

ChoChang · 17/08/2017 18:35

Boo, I hope you won gamblers!

thegamblersmrs · 17/08/2017 19:09

I never win!

Whatamuddleduck · 17/08/2017 19:12

Yay crying! Those lines look fab! You've given me hope as idiot here tried a frer yesterday at 3dp5dt (in my defence my Superdrug box turned up and I couldn't resist) got the faintest of faint lines. Doesn't even show on a photo. I'll try again over the weekend and see if mine ends up anywhere near as great as yours! It may just be the trigger still in my system I know.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow floofles! Hopefully some of them have put on a grown spurt!

Leanne1185 · 17/08/2017 19:50

Ahhhh that sounds like another positive muddle 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Do u guys with positives feel any symptoms? Xx

Leanne1185 · 17/08/2017 19:51

Ps anyone getting annoyed at parents for posting on fb about how happy they are that their kids r going back to school "peace at last" type comments 😡 I'm a nursery teacher and so many parents were like that x

Missmeluk · 17/08/2017 19:58

Me and OH have both got our scans tomorrow too. Her to check progress of follies and me to check if my lining has thickened up.

Does anyone know what size I should be looking for for the follies and how thick they are going to want my lining to be? Hoping to get EC date for next week.

Great to see some positives starting to come through and sending positive thoughts to those of you who are having some down days xx

Leanne1185 · 17/08/2017 20:15

Mel my clinic were looking for 15mm or over, sorry I'm not sure about the thickness of the lining I never asked at the time xx

ChoChang · 17/08/2017 20:28

That sounds promising duck, look forward to hearing your updates!

My clinic look of more than 8mm for lining mel, i didnt ask what follicle size but i assumed around 17mm.

Missmeluk · 17/08/2017 20:57

Ok great. She went for a scan on Wednesday but when I asked how big they were she couldn't remember! Well we will see tomorrow can't wait to hear everyones updates

thegamblersmrs · 17/08/2017 21:26

Leanne mine were the same, I think they look for 15 then give trigger as they know that should boost to 17?! That's my ignorant interpretation of it anyway.

Leanne, know what you mean. My mum hated when the schools went back 1 because she missed us and 2 she hated ironing school uniforms!

thegamblersmrs · 17/08/2017 21:34

Also would love to hear about your symptoms bfp people!

chivintassle · 17/08/2017 22:02

gamblers Oh dear, as long as he's there for EC and ET I guess, but I trump you with my OH being in S Korea for work for 3 weeks😡 😢 I will virtually take you at 7.45 and you can virtually take me at 9.30?!
floof can you remind me, how many have you got that aren't growing? That seems like a long time to be stimming, but what do I know, this is only my 2nd round. Are they changing or upping your meds? (NHS right? Phew if yes, ouch if no)
muddle fingers crossed, keep us informed!!
I think there's a lot of us scanning tomorrow! Good luck all!

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 17/08/2017 22:08

Mel I think around 16 for the follicles, although we just had a plotted graph with all the follicles each scan, and they kept pointing to a line and saying 'over that line!'.**
Good luck tomorrow to both of you.

Thirty good luck too with egg collection tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you!!

Floo I really hope tomorrow is a better day for you. The positive affirmations is a fab idea! I've downloaded one now.

Ahh Cho I meant 'fiddly' as I had to make my cetrotide up! Pen is sooooo much easier!!!

Boo to your DH gamblers, hope too gave him the look.

That is very exciting Duck!

Symptoms wise I've been a bit mixed. I had two days of quite strong af type cramps but that's eased off a little, just the odd twinge today. I'm majorly bloated though (gets worse through the day), and have indigestion in the evening. I think that might be the progesterone pessaries tbh. I'm also constipated and need to wee a lot (very cliche). I'm still unbelievably petrified the lines going to fade. I asked for a blood test tomorrow but they are making me wait until next week as Sunday is my OTDConfused

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 17/08/2017 22:08

Sorry my bold writing keeps going weird!

thegamblersmrs · 17/08/2017 22:19

Chivin, deal! I'll even bring decaf coffee!

Crying, can understand why you are anxious. Hope Sunday's test helps you to relax.

ChoChang · 17/08/2017 22:31

Oh 'fiddly', i get you now crying! Couldnt for the life of me figure it out! Ive always had to make all my drugs up so its fine!

ChoChang · 17/08/2017 22:31

Good luck to all scanning and EC tomorrow x

Lola84 · 17/08/2017 22:35

Hi all

Hope I'm ok to join this - I'm on my first round of ivf and on my 2 week wait. Had my embryo transfer last Thursday and I'm really struggling with waiting - anyone else going through this wait just now?

thegamblersmrs · 17/08/2017 23:01

Since I've started chatting to people on here it's got me thinking private vs nhs. My thoughts were as with most medicine was that it need to be the same procedures but with nicer surroundings. Just compared GCRM stats with my nhs and GCRM has better success rates.
Why though? Is it the added extras? Is it just fluke?
Stop researching stats? Am I just googling private cos I've exhausted all my current worries so I'll just create more?

MelbourneClown03 · 18/08/2017 06:49

@gambler There is always more to worry about. LOL. I have about a zillion anxious thoughts running through my head each day. I know the stress isn't good, though to be fair at this point the cycle has either worked or it hasn't

@Lola84 Welcome! There's already been a few bfp's and few of us are in the 2WW, others are at the stimulation stage and egg collection / embryo transfer stage. We're all bumbling along together in this mess of emotions Confused

I had my blood test yesterday and progesterone is at a good level, which is good as DP and I thought if it was still low that'd probably mean that it wouldn't have been enough to support any embryo. They've moved my preggers blood test back by 2 days as apparently they prefer to test on day 16 not 14 after transfer, at my clinic. I can't POS as I have a stoma, so no testing early for me. I still have 9 days of sitting in no mans land.

Floofles · 18/08/2017 06:58

Thank you all 😊Flowers
Chivin I have around 20 follies on each side, and 1 is responding to stims! Stupid greedy folly! This round is my 1 NHS round thank god!!! I'm also allowed one FET if I get some frosties, and then we'd be taking a break because we don't have any spare money (well we have some, but not £7k for sure!)
Gamblers on the NHS vs private debate (stop googling!) I think it's probably that NHS clinics have a lot of people through them so more chance of a failure, also they're more likely to try cheaper things first and only do IVF as a last resort so those who will respond to clomid say will have a long time taking that., And only people with the worst fertility get treated? Private clinics are more responsive to the patient is imagine, and so would go for IVF as a solution earlier in the process so maybe are treating more fertile people?
I'm at a private clinic, as it's the closest one, but I have NHS funding (as does a friend of mine) and their results are pretty good... And I don't think we're being treated differently.
Also when I was doing this same research (even though I didn't get a choice of clinic) the hfea website shows if clinics are significantly above the national average, or actually in line with the average and any difference is just down to natural deviation in results, and I think there's only 2 or 3 clinics that truly are getting better results - all the others are just in line with the national average!

Cho that sounds really fiddly! I'm really glad I don't have to mix anything I'd be at it forever!!!

Leanne I agree about parents complaining 😡 if you didn't want kids then keep your legs shut! (Sometimes I'm less judgemental and angry honest!) But we have another 2 weeks here so I'm safe for a while!

Mel my clinic are looking for follies of 17mm and a lining of over 8 I think (mine is around 9 now and they keep saying 'Your lining looks good, it has a good 3 layer pattern')

Welcome Lola ✋I'm not 2ww-ing as I've just been taking stims for ever and getting nowhere 😂 but others definitely are and it's a lovely thread to join!

I woke up with burning thirst and needing to pee and now can't sleep. I have pain all over my tummy but I don't know if that's my ovaries or maybe I just need to 💩(sorry tmi but my bowels have been all over the place this week) and I don't want to get my hopes up in case actually today they just cancel the whole cycle and that's me done for a while!

Good luck to everyone today (those going in for something and those waiting for the next step!) I'll virtually attend all scans (mainly just to have a gander at what ovaries should look like!) FlowersFlowersFlowers

thegamblersmrs · 18/08/2017 07:51

Thanks floo and clown. I know I need a slap and a google ban.

Welcome Lola, hope the 2ww isn't too painful for you and you join the positive gang with their bfp!

chivintassle · 18/08/2017 08:24

gamblers virtually with you (on the other side of the curtain! )

Good luck everyone with something happening today, and good luck to everyone else in having a good day!

Lola84 · 18/08/2017 08:53

Morning all

Thank you for being so welcoming. So much to take in with it being my first time wish I'd found this thread earlier to have gone through it all with you as it's such a lonely time no-one really understands. Congratulations to you all that have your bfp can I ask how long you waited after et to test? I'm on day 8 after embryo transfer and want to know now been so tired and sore but can't decide if it's the progesterone pessaries my period or if it's a good sign. I really hate this 2ww.

Good luck to those getting scans and tests today 🤞🏻🍀

Xx
