We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

So sorry to hear that @angelazul you must be devastated. It's too early to feel this way yet but please know the doctors will have learnt loads from this cycle about your reaction to drugs etc and they'll have a much better plan for the next cycle. Take some time to lick your wounds though. So very sorry for you.

angelazul · 18/11/2017 12:18

Thanks peeps, it hurts a lot but I guess I'll get over it. Having really bad mood swings today, I think it's prob all the hormones leaving my system. Oh the joys Angry

bluebird3 · 19/11/2017 17:09

I’m sure you ever get over these horrible disappointments but you do find the strength to move forward. Sorry you’re going through this angel.

gee where are you at with treatment?

OP posts:
bluebird3 · 19/11/2017 19:18

That meant to say I’m not sure

Hi @bluebird3 I'm on holiday at the moment but in just over a week when I get back it's my cd21 scratch and I start downregging for my FET in Jan. Excited to be getting going soon!

bluebird3 · 21/11/2017 20:48

I’m cycling again now. I go in for a scan tomorrow to see how things are progressing with ec likely Saturday or Monday. Hoping for Monday as loads on this Saturday that DH and I would have to cancel. But we’ll do what the doctors want obviously. Really freaked out this cycle is going to go badly. Sad

OP posts:
bluebird3 · 27/11/2017 16:17

Not sure if anyone is still around but had egg collection today and we got 12 eggs. I've felt a lot worse this time around so hoping the egg quality is ok.

ScottishJaggyNettle · 27/11/2017 18:07

Ive been reading all comments but my computer was acting up so i couldnt comment. The thread is looking a bit quiet now. I wonder where people have went.

Angel Im sorry Flowers.

Thats fantastic Blue ! 12 is loads. Hopefully there will be a few good ones left to freeze. Fingers Crossed! Smile

I hope everyone is well.

geeup · 27/11/2017 19:35

Ahhhhh @bluebird3 12 is amazing (more than double what I've ever got!!). I am around but on hols so a bit slow on posting. Very excited for you though. Let us know how fertilisation goes!!!

bluebird3 · 27/11/2017 20:09

Thanks scottish and angel. I haven't had any to freeze the last two cycles so just hoping for at least one good blast to put back in. Anything else would be a bonus. Feeling really poorly but I had really high oestrogen levels before collection so hoping it's not the start of ohss. I just want to be in the best shape possible for transfer. Confused

Also...found this Glitterball in the emojis and thought it looked like a blastocyst. Ivf on the brain!

ScottishJaggyNettle · 27/11/2017 20:20

Gee up FET will be here before you know it. Good holiday ? Smile

Blue Feet up and let your partner look after you. Do you know when transfer is ?

bluebird3 · 29/11/2017 07:08

scottish we had 8 fertilised so they are hoping for a 5dt on Saturday, but will ring tomorrow to update.

I was incredibly poorly yesterday, been sick, severe pain, diarrhoea. Much worse than my last two cycles. I'm much better today although my stomach still hurts a lot. My clinic advised I take paracetamol with co codomol when I rang yesterday, so I think thats helped as well.

What new with you?

OP posts:
ScottishJaggyNettle · 29/11/2017 22:34

Im glad that you are feeling better Smile and 8 is fantastic keep us updated! Can i ask how many IVF cycles you have had now? Is it 2 or 3 now. Surely your in for some luck now hopefully.

I told my boss as i will need time off at some point. I expected an unhappy face and reaction but i was met with support "dont worry about work, try to reduce your stress, and if there are any jobs your not happy doing ask someone else to do them", approach there was the "im sorry to hear that" and "Take all the time that you need for appointments"....
Honestly i have the best boss in the world!
I feel very supported and Calm now that im not worrying about work as much. Smile

geeup · 30/11/2017 06:44

Great news @bluebird3

And lovely to hear your boss is supportive @ScottishJaggyNettle - I have never told work about any of my cycles but I do work a bit from home so can cover appointments a bit luckily...

bluebird3 · 30/11/2017 07:33

Thanks guys.

It's my 3rd fresh cycle. First was bfn, second was bfp, mc at 5.5 weeks. And now this. I've never had any left to freeze so really hoping this cycle is different. I'm expecting a call from the clinic with an embryo update sometime between 8:30-9:30 today. The agony of waiting!

OP posts:
bluebird3 · 30/11/2017 09:34

Just got the call. 4 are at the stage they should be, 2 look good and 2 are a bit fragmented. They have recommended putting the 2 good ones back i today so we're off to hospital.

OP posts:
geeup · 30/11/2017 15:28

Yaaaay that's exciting. Good luck!!

angelazul · 30/11/2017 16:08

Fab blue, hope all is going well

ScottishJaggyNettle · 30/11/2017 18:54

Blue Thats fantastic! Smile

geeup · 30/11/2017 20:52

Well I'm back on the hamster wheel. Scratch done and first buserlin injection done. Very glad to be back cycling again as feel one day closer to being pregnant. As feeling so impatient but trying to focus on mini milestones - Christmas, new year etc. Hope you're all doing ok.

bluebird3 · 30/11/2017 21:17

Thanks guys. We asked why we weren't waiting till day 5 but they said that these two were obviously further ahead than the others so best to put them back in the natural environment now. I'm happy with that as I've had no joy with the last two 5dt so it's nice to give this a whirl. Going to be a long 2ww now!

gee how did you find the scratch? I always feel happier to start treatment again. Like you said it's nice to be doing something when normally it feels so useless.

OP posts:
geeup · 30/11/2017 21:24

Makes sense @bluebird3 ! Sure they're happier inside you.
Scratch went ok - definitely not a pleasant procedure but the pain doesn't last long at all (just a few seconds then more like period pain) and hopefully worth it in the end!
