TTC 18 months or more -moving on to IUI/IVF/ICSI part 3

We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

How's everyone doing? Haven't been on much recently, just been trying to deal with everything that's been going on with us. Have pre-treatment consultation tomorrow, feeling excited, nervous & everything in between. Got genetics results back today & it turns out I don't have the faulty gene, so fx our luck is beginning to change!!

Had fc appt on Friday, got provisional schedule & collected all my drugs. Had to get thyroid checked again cos the last bloods weren't great, but got results back today & it's much improved So all set to start down regging next week.

I'm going to be starting with another cycle in November...only about 5-6 weeks away now. I was hoping to have lost a stone by then but have only lost a grand total of 1 lb. apparently just wanting to lose weight isn't enough!

Blue - excited you and I will be starting together again. I expect to start downregging at the end of November so I might be a bit behind you but hopefully we can support one another! I'm also trying to lose my ttc weight - sorry if I've said before (I'm boring myself!). I have gained 10-12 kg in the past two years so hoping to shift some of it by the time we do our FET in January. I started a week ago and have lost 2kg (fully expecting that to be unsustainable though) through a loose variant of the blood sugar diet (but I'm doing more calories). Basically started running again and lowering carbs and trying not to snack between meals (with varying levels of success). It's been good having something else to focus on in this gap between cycles otherwise I'll go mad!

Blue it still does all feel a bit scary, but so good to finally be doing something!!

Hey everyone, gone a bit quiet on here recently. Hope everyone is doing ok.

I'm in the middle of treatment now, started stimms last week & have 1st scan later this week. Not too many side effects, but been feeling pretty exhausted throughout which I didn't expect.

Hi angel. I had a bit of a meltdown over the last few weeks. My sisters pregnancy has been really difficult and while I don’t envy her that, it’s been really hard dealing with all the family’s focus on her pregnancy as she was only 2 weeks further along than I would have been if I hadn’t mc.

I’ve been feeling a bit better and am starting stims the end of this week, for round #3. Feeling quite fragile about it all.

Glad your stims are going ok. When is your scan?

Sorry to hear that @bluebird3 that must be so difficult for you. I struggle with feelings of envy at the best of times so I would be in bits if I was you. Well done for coping.
I think my cm is going a tiny bit brown which isn't great. I really don't want af to come before Friday because of downregging/scratch dates around my holiday but there's nothing I can do. Just hope she stays away but I highly suspect I'll bleed tomorrow which is a pain. Hate it's all looming over me.

And we'll done on stims @angelazul hope the tiredness isn't too bad and you're drinking lots of water and milk!!

Feeling quite a lot better on stimms now, although I'm still a bit more tired than I normally would be. Have first scan tomorrow morning, strangely I'm feeling very calm about it

gee...I’m in a similar boat. I’ve been spotting for a couple of days. DH has tickets to a rugby game in London two weeks from Saturday so is really worried that ec will fall on that day and he will miss it. I feel bad for him but am like...I can’t control when af comes!! Fx yours hold off a bit!

It's so tough when the dates are completely out of your hands!! I ended up having egg collection on my birthday earlier this year. That was a fun one

Scan went well, there's 5 follicles that are more or less mature already (1 at 19, 2 at 18mm & 2 at 17mm). Got bloods done to check my oestrogen, another scan tomorrow morning & possibly egg collection on Monday. Seems like it's full steam ahead!

I’m anxious to get started but af is still not here. I have had brown spotting since Tuesday, which I do usually have 2-5 days before af. Every time I go for a wee I think this will be it. Uuurrrgghhh.

Egg collection is scheduled for Monday morning. Starting to feel a wee bit excited & nervous now.

angel sorry I can’t remember...is this your first cycle? I felt nervous/excited/hopeful/terrified plus a million other things. Good luck tomorrow. Fx for some lovely eggs!!

I'm so sorry to hear that @angelazul it must be very disappointing after everything you've been through. However hopefully it's a strong little fighter. Fingers crossed for you.

Oh angel, I’m so sorry. That’s really disappointing. When they did your bloods did they think there would be more than that? My friend had 2 cycles cancelled bc while she had several follicles her oestrogen was low so they expected one or no eggs. She went on to have another cycle where they adjusted her meds, got 8 eggs, one blast and that one worked and is now a happy toddler. Fx this egg is a fighter. Sending hugs.
