IVF Cycle buddies March/April

I know we are only partway through February, but I'm down to start our 2nd round of IVF once my period starts at the end of this month, so thought I'd start a cycle buddies thread now as I gear up..!
Our history is that we have a 3.5yo DS, naturally conceived, but have been trying for a sibling for 2 years now... we had an ectopic pregnancy just over a year ago, but after that nothing... so as I'll be 40 next month, we decided there wasn't time to waste anymore and had all the tests last year but we are 'unexplained'... so we had a cycle of IVF in November/December but sadly was unsuccessful as ended in a chemical pregnancy. So here we go again - fingers crossed it's 2nd time lucky...! If anyone else is starting soon then would be great to have the support! Xx

Geeup - full bladder ( although not crazy full like I did last time as I've never been so uncomfortable !)
Supposedly it lifts your bladder out of the way and gives a nice clear path...!

geeup mine say to have normal wee and cuppa in the morning. Then 1 hour before the appt have a wee and then drink 300ml water. No more weed after that. So it is half full supposedly. Good luck x

I'm on app so you can just pick hold but if you're on desktop type an asteroid immediately before and after the name. That'll make it bold (no spaces).
Will let you know how I get on! Am so nervous and excited.

Blackcherries I'm so sorry to hear your news I had a chemical pregnancy on our last cycle and it was a really tough one to figure out in my head but hopefully I am proof that the next tine round can still work! Try and stay positive and when you are ready pick yourself up and move on to the next cycle!
Geeup good luck drink a small bottle of water about 15 mins before so they can see it all clearly!

Hi all - feeling nervous about tomorrow now... i thought I'd be better this time round as I know what to expect, but I think it's cos I'm dreading bad news that makes me really nervous! Anyway, just wanted to say Good Luck bjones - hope tomorrow is our day for lots of love eggs..! I'm really anxious and have been keeping away from posting. Stresses me out to even read up. Feeling nothing and everything, so who knows. I'm trying to hold out for bloods, but I may test on Wednesday as I'm not working. Both last fails AF has started to appear so I knew I was out before testing.

Feeling really nervous now as well. No idea what to expect and worried they won't get any eggs. Had a rubbish nights sleep - thank goodness I can have a nap when I get there!

I think I'm out or will be soon. Had some spotting this morning and cramp. Booby pain went away few days ago. Totally devastated and have to go back to work today. Hope I don't start bawling at my desk I can't stop crying

Kmmr try not to test early wait it out I know it's soooo hard but you will drive yourself crazy!!

I test on Thursday. I'm at the station blubbering like a goodun. Life is so unfair sometimes. Trying not to lose hope. Maybe the work distraction will be good and keep my mind off it

Hi everyone. Lots to catch up on! Have been up and down with emotions over the past few days so haven't posted. blackcherries I am so sorry it hasn't worked for you this time. Hobbes and bjones, I hope EC goes well for both of you today. geeup, good luck with ET and the start of your 2WW!

2WW is really dragging. I'm on day 8 today. Less cramping than last week, but still quite achey and heavy-feeling boobs. Could be the progesterone. Clinic have told me not to test till Fri and I am really torn between wanting to test sooner and thinking it surely should be accurate sooner, and worrying about a BFN.

Jodybug how are you doing? A bit of spotting isn't necessarily bad at all. Try not to worry. Not long till we can test.

jodybug i hope your doing ok, please try not to loose hope, spotting doesnt necessarily mean its over

My scan went well today, they were really pleased with my progress over the weekend, said my lining was text book and ive got some good sized follicles, 3 at 20mm, 3 at 21mm and some at 18 and 19mm, a few 16mm and the rest were smaller. Will be triggering tonight for EC wednesday. Feeling quite positive about it today, hope its a good sign.

I had my first scan today. Currently have 7 measuring between 10-12 and 3 measuring 8-9 and 3 littler ones. They said they want them to be 10 at this stage but I'm hoping the 9's catch up. Lining was 12 so think that's good

Great news dippy and hope. I have one embie on board and one to freeze so that's good news. Had acupuncture before and after so hopefully that'll help. Been out for a nice lunch after so feeling pretty chilled.

Collection went well, we got 4 so not many but that's what my amh was when I had it tested so the best I could hope for. Don't feel too bad but on my sun lounger with a book resting up just in case. Going to seem like forever until they phone tomorrow with results
