IVF Cycle buddies March/April

I know we are only partway through February, but I'm down to start our 2nd round of IVF once my period starts at the end of this month, so thought I'd start a cycle buddies thread now as I gear up..!
Our history is that we have a 3.5yo DS, naturally conceived, but have been trying for a sibling for 2 years now... we had an ectopic pregnancy just over a year ago, but after that nothing... so as I'll be 40 next month, we decided there wasn't time to waste anymore and had all the tests last year but we are 'unexplained'... so we had a cycle of IVF in November/December but sadly was unsuccessful as ended in a chemical pregnancy. So here we go again - fingers crossed it's 2nd time lucky...! If anyone else is starting soon then would be great to have the support! Xx

Yes I got faint bfp this morning. However the bleeding has started up again. It's light but I am playing everything by ear at the moment and going to test again tomorrow and keep checking. I switched back to taking the pessaries (double dose) vaginally on advice of clinic and not sure if this has started the bleeding again.

Blackcherries don't lose hope it might just be irritating you can u get a blood test?

I don't know, I'm calling the IVF nurse who is different from the one I've been emailing, she's going to call me back later. The notes from embryo transfer say 'even if you've had a bleed you should still test on your test day to rule out an ectopic pregnancy' so now don't know what to think.
These last few days have actually been the worst part, even though BFP today I can't actually be positive because I'm so confused.

Congratulations hhno2 that's great news!! Hopefully this is a lucky thread 🤞 Blackcherries could it be cervical erosion/irritation? I have that and would bleed lightly after DTD, smear test, any interference really..

hobbes and bjones thats great news that your scans have gone well and your booked in for EC monday, hope you both get a good harvest!

My scan yesterday went ok but i have some more growing to do apparently which i am disappointed about. Im on a higher dose of stims this time so i expected to find that my follicles were big enough but it seems not, there are some there but they are still small. Back for a scan and bloods monday and will have to see.

Hope I was the same my cycle got extended more and more and I thought I would never get there if anything the more thorough they are the better!

blackcherries - hope the nurse is/has been able to reassure you and you can start enjoying your BFP.

Anna - hope your embryo is listening and snuggling in nicely!

Hope - try not to get too downhearted about it - the most important thing is that there are some follicles there. Hopefully they'll take a big jump forward over the weekend and you'll be ready for EC this week.

Thank you hhno its nice to know others cycles get extended too, have been feeling really miserable about it, it does feel like i will never get there and im fed up of scans and bloods!
I am glad they are being thorough tho and i trust them its just my body im annoyed with i think!

Thanks lulahbelle i hope they grow lots this weekend too, i'm taking it easy and enjoying some nice home cooked meals by my DH!
I have next week off work so at least im not stressing about that!

HHno - that's brilliant - congratulations! As others have said, I'm hoping this is just the start of a lucky thread!
Blackcherries - hope the bleeding has calmed down, if you have switched to the 'front' again for pessaries, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the issue - they are known to irritate, I hope it stops soonxx
hope - I can totally understand your frustration - but agree with others below - that's a good thing they are being thorough and as long as you have follicles growing it's doesn't matter if they take slightly longer. Hope your next scan is good and you'll be ready to go! X

I'm actually nervous they are triggering me too soon - I'm triggering a day earlier than last time, but my follicles are smaller??! I'm trusting that they haven't cocked up as I think I have to, but makes me nervous - I just hope that they continue to grow right up til Monday am....
Bjones - I'm at 11am - which means trigger tonight at midnight! somehow I have to stay awake til then..! How about you? X

Thanks hobbes i guess just goes to show that no matter what happens we are still nervous/unsure!
Im worried coz its taking longer, your nervous its too soon!
We just have to trust the professionals!

hobbes I'm at 11am Monday too, but told to trigger at 11pm tonight

I wouldn't worry about timings, I had it in my head it would be exactly 36 hours after triggering but actually the time they gave me to attend the hospital was early then I was waiting around for about 90 mins before they took me in, so it's not down to the minute!
