Hello,

Is anyone else about to start a cycle?
I start down regulating on Sunday, estimated embryo transfer week beginning 21st Nov, this will be my first round of IVF/ICSI after 3.5 years trying to concieve.

Mixture of emotions, excited to be starting after waiting so long to get here, nervous about side effects of drugs and injecting and terrified it wont work! The joys of infertility!

Custard - they debated over mines for ages too; the way I figured it, they want the very best result for you 1. Because they're health professionals and 2. Because they need to keep up a good success rate. It's hard when you've got so little control on the process already, but I'd say just believe they're doing what's best. Good luck x

Blue sorry to hear you're feeling rough during stimming, are you on a different dose maybe?

Custard I'll give it a go in the morning, I'll report back with my findings! Blush

Glass maybe that's the case with our clinic too. I'm booked in for 10am but have to be at the unit by 9.15 to fill out paperwork and get ready?
I'll give the front door a go in the morning and see how I find it, then decide back door or not!!
Oh my goodness it's your OTD tomorrow - how are you feeling?
Have you had a sneaky test? Any symptoms?
Do you have to do a home test or go back to clinic for a test?

kez feeling ok - getting a lot of cramps in the evening, think it's when I start to relax. Also (TMI sorry) lots of clear discharge.

Then there all the usual ones that could be good or bad - sore boobs, bloating, constipation, peeing constantly and spots!

Have tested (couldn't help it) and it was positive- but well aware that could have been false. If tomorrow is the same - I'm on the way (eek ShockShockShock)

Custardandcream · 07/11/2016 19:57

Bedtime now.

Hobbes39 · 07/11/2016 23:09

Glass, I have everything crossed for you tomorrow, so so hope it is good news.
And good luck to custard & kez for Wednesday... will be thinking of you both!
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
As for me, my bug seems to have gone now, so feeling much better - actually strangely looking forward to Friday when I start my injections..! I think it's cos it will finally feel like it's happening then, whereas so far it's been all a bit surreal?

Blueroses99 · 08/11/2016 08:44

Glass I'm on tenterhooks... any news?

Hope2409 · 08/11/2016 12:56

Sorry, manic morning at work.

It was positive! Xx

kezmarie · 08/11/2016 13:42

Yaaaaayyyy!!
Congratulations Glass! SmileFlowers
So happy for you.

Well my first pessary went ok this morning! I so overthought that! Hmm
You ladies weren't wrong about it being messy though, ugh!!!
1 more tonight, then I have to do my suppository in the morning before I leave home for EC!
It's all getting very real now...

liberte12 · 08/11/2016 13:52

Congratulations Glass!!! Xx

Custardandcream · 08/11/2016 14:15

Congratulations Glass that's brilliant news!

How are you feeling today Kez? I'm feeling a bit sore. I don't envy you with the pessaries, I'll be starting those tomorrow evening but I'm actually having a drug free day today. Yes it is all a bit real now, I'm trying to keep calm, I'm not worried about the actual procedure but what comes next.

Blueroses99 · 08/11/2016 14:18

Congratulations glass that's fabulous news. (I had a good feeling after you said you had already a positive test. Once the HCG from your trigger shot is out of the system, false positives are rare!)

Hobbes39 · 08/11/2016 14:40

Glass - that's brilliant news! I've been checking as often as possible (while at work) to see your news! Fingers crossed it all progresses perfectly from here for you!
Good luck with EC tomorrow kez & custard...
I'm off to acupuncture this eve Smile
How you doing fluffy? Hope you are feeling better? X

Hope2409 · 08/11/2016 16:22

Congratulations Glass thats fab news!

Glad your pessary went ok kez i am not looking forward to doing those, i have to do mine 3 times a day, noooo!

Hobbes bet you're looking forward to starting your stims now ay! Next step Smile

Blue how are you feeling now?

Custard I'm feeling quite sore today, bad stomach cramps and achey lower back.
Also TMI peeps! I'm very constipated! Which doesn't help the pains. Bloody menopur!!
Had lots of green tea today hopefully that will shift it!
Bet these follicles can't wait to come out tomorrow! Smile
Yeah the pessary was a lot easier then I thought! Do you have to take one with you tomorrow for after EC?
Just about to pack my hospital bag now, going to load it with food as we can't eat for 6 hours before can we Shock. I'm such a foodie aswell, it's going to be hard!!

Glass bet you're still on cloud 9 bless you. What's next for you then?

Liberte glad to see you! Hope you're doing a bit better

Custardandcream · 08/11/2016 17:16

Hobbes hope you have a good accupucture session, I also looked forward to starting the injections in an odd way.

Kez I'll be starting the pessary & antibiotic tomorrow evening so I won't be taking them with me. I can't eat after midnight tonight and can only have water before 6am tomorrow after that nothing until it's over. But I will get a cup of tea and biscuits before I leave the clinic.

LoPl · 08/11/2016 18:26

Hi. Can I join you ladies? Just about to start ICSI treatment (low motility issue). Had meeting with Dr yesterday, and they said things are looking good for me to begin once my AF shows up (due next week). From the timeline they gave me I should be at EC point around late Nov. I'm pretty private so haven't told anyone - and just really need to chat to some people about it all. It's already been hugely helpful reading all these posts. You are all so informed!

Custardandcream · 08/11/2016 18:42

Welcome LoPI, that's great that you can get started so quickly, how are you feeling about it? I wasn't particularly well informed when I had my first cycle I've learnt so much in the past few months!

Hope2409 · 08/11/2016 18:47

Welcome to our group LoPI you are more than welcome to join us!
You are in the right place, everyone on here has really helped me, its nice to just chat to people who understand how it all feels!
