Anyone just starting a cycle or about to?

I've just got the dates through for my first FET to TTC#2. My first LO is 18 months and was made with the help of ICSI and IVF. I start down regulating in a few weeks.

I've already gone through various emotions and I know there are a lot more to come! Anxiety and indecision wondering how I will cope with a second child if we're that lucky and the possible age gap. Sadness that my clinic told me I had to wean DD1 from the breast. Guilt at thinking about another and no longer 100% about her. (Especially if I weaned her and it doesn't work). Stupid thoughts that led me to test without telling DH when my second postpartum period (after weaning) didn't show on time (only spotting, false hope that it was implantation bleed. It's nearly impossible for us to conceive naturally though. AF came this weekend so here I am). Scared that it won't work. The stats are lower for FET and we only have 2 frosties.

The first injection will be at the end of a family holiday. I probably won't be drinking but don't really want to tell them why not yet. Despite all this I am excited too!

Anyone want to join me as cycle buddies?

I finally got through to someone at the ACU today, and I have an appointment on Thursday. It doesn't sound like I shouldn't be worried though. She said it's so early they wouldn't be able to see anything on a scan so I think they are seeing me to reassure me more than anything else. I don't have any other symptoms so far, and the pains have gotten better over the last couple of days so fingers x it's an easy in and out appointment.

Did you go to a second acupuncture appt yesterday?

Glad to hear you are feeling better and managed to get an appointment for tomorrow, I hope it's all ok.

Yes had second acupuncture session yesterday, still not overly sure about it and bled again but she did different points yesterday... back again on Saturday afternoon, hopefully this all helps! Xxc

Just a quick update, saw the Dr at the ACU and all is well, turns out (you'll laugh) I have gaz + a retroverted uterus which explains the cramps. But that was a nice excuse to have a (very) early scan where I saw the little sack of cells that will hopefully develop into a baby! I have another one in 2 weeks to check in, where we should be able to see the heart which is very exciting.

Oh that's lovely news tata (that you see the sack etc) and in a way it's nice that you can actually see how you're doing on a screen with out wondering and waiting . Xxxx

Thanks Goodthings, that's funny DH actually asked if that confirmed it had really worked! It makes it very real. I have a picture of the scan which shows a dark spot the size of a peanut, I haven't told him I have it to surprise him tonight.

No hopefully AF will show within 2 weeks and I will start injecting pretty much straight away as trying the short protocol this time so all being well I'll know either way by the new year! Xxxx

I had 3rd acupuncture session yesterday and back again tomorrow. Not sure if it's doing anything but I really hope it helps!

Do any of you ladies know if it's normal to spot when using microgynon? I have been last couple of days and not sure if normal or not or if I'm just being stupid to contact clinic? Only got to take it for another 7 days anyway but want to try and get all timing right and scared spotting will cause issue starting stimms again in couple of weeks?

I'm doing really well- had a quiet few weeks and have my 9 week scan this Thursday. Not had too much in the way of symptoms except for bloating and giant boobs ha. It makes a welcome change as I had hyperemesis with my daughter. Xx

Goodthings.. For me the acu felt like I was Doing something to help and I found it relaxing so hope it helps you too!

AfM ended up at docs today as was panicking as getting period style cramps and lower back ache. If it continues might be sent to epu, we will see! Having a couple of days off to help.

So glad to hear Elles (I was lurking in the background hoping for good news for you)!! Is it cramps you're having? I had really bad ones because of gas but they've gone now that I've changed my diet (no more beans / peas / spouts of any sort), fingers x it's something as easy to fix for you too xx

AFM all is well so far, cramps have gone, I sometimes get some very light nausua but nothing too bad and next scan is next week to check everything's developing well. Hoping to see a heartbeat

Ahh so pleased cramps gone tata!
Thanks so much ladies... literally after I typed message, EPU rang and got me in at 1030!!!!!!! Beans are fine and measurIng perfectly... we saw them wriggling!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still sore but taking it easy for rest of day and making plan to wind things down to make life easier!

Tata interesting what you said about gas.. I did think it would be embarrassing if after all that I just needed a big pop!!!!!

Ah Elles so relieved for you! And how lovely that you got to see the beans moving round! I'm having fortnightly scans until I'm 20 weeks because of the cysts. Hopefully they will disappear but if not ill have to have surgery at around 20 weeks when my baby is a bit bigger to remove/ drain them via laparoscopy which is a bit daunting. Xx

Oh trust me Elles it was embarrassing alright when I went for these horrible cramps and Dr said it was gas!! That'll do for a good story in a few year
