Cycle buddies Aug/Sept 2016

Anyone just starting a cycle or about to?

I've just got the dates through for my first FET to TTC#2. My first LO is 18 months and was made with the help of ICSI and IVF. I start down regulating in a few weeks.

I've already gone through various emotions and I know there are a lot more to come! Anxiety and indecision wondering how I will cope with a second child if we're that lucky and the possible age gap. Sadness that my clinic told me I had to wean DD1 from the breast. Guilt at thinking about another and no longer 100% about her. (Especially if I weaned her and it doesn't work). Stupid thoughts that led me to test without telling DH when my second postpartum period (after weaning) didn't show on time (only spotting, false hope that it was implantation bleed. It's nearly impossible for us to conceive naturally though. AF came this weekend so here I am). Scared that it won't work. The stats are lower for FET and we only have 2 frosties.

The first injection will be at the end of a family holiday. I probably won't be drinking but don't really want to tell them why not yet. Despite all this I am excited too!

Anyone want to join me as cycle buddies?Smile

Thanks for your kind messages ladies, bleeding did stop but has started again and heavier now, cried a lot last night and today but think I've got my head around it and hoping I can start another cycle soon.

Will defiantly be lurking as looking forward to hearing your success stories and how you all get on Smile.

Wishing you all lots of love and luck xxxx

tatatetelle · 26/10/2016 16:00

Goodthing you're a sweetheart xx I hope you're getting all the me time you need Flowers

HelloMist · 28/10/2016 15:14

So sorry Goodthings :(

Glad the thread is helping you Astrid :) lots of good luck for the 2ww. How did travelling go? I was lifting and rushing about quite a bit with my DD after transfer, so although in an ideal world you'd rest, it's not always possible and can still be fine. Hope you haven't been too anxious because of it.

Not too long to go, Tata, though it must feel ages to you! Hope you are doing OK.

Are you feeling any symptoms Fcuk?

AFM, I'm doing OK. I even forgot it would've been scan day yesterday until I got into the bath at night, so I think I'm doing quite well at keeping busy and distracted! (It has been on my mind a lot though and I'm only just feeling like posting here again now.) I need to book my follow up at the clinic to discuss things with them.

Hey All,

Goodthings, hope you're doing as well as can be 🙏🏻

Mist- I've spent the last 4 days in hospital - I had some pretty awful stomach pains and GP suspected MC however when they scanned me I had a huge ovarian cyst which had burst. Was all very scary and dramatic and I narrowly avoided surgery. On the upside I saw my "baby" (curly little tadpole) on the many scans so reassured a bit there. We have another scan to confirm the fluid from the cyst has reabsorbed next Thursday so am on bed rest until then. Have you been given an appointment for your follow up yet?

Hey Tata & Elles- any news?

Astrid- hey. Hope all is well on your wait

Hope I've not missed anyone xx

tatatetelle · 29/10/2016 10:15

Oh woaw Fcuck I am so sorry that sounds really scary and dramatic!!! How are you feeling? I hope the pain has gone? The worst seems te be behind now and fingers crossed you get the all clear on Thursday. It must have been such a relief to see your little tadpole is doing well. Look after yourself honey and get your oh to do everything for you!!

Mist I think it's incredibly positive and brave that you're thinking about your follow up appointment, take all the time you need coming back here xx

Astrid, Elles, I hope you're all feeling ok?
Goodthings I don't knownif you're checking in but sending you lots of hugs and love

AFM I am right im the middle of the tww, when everything is a symptom, feeling something, not feeling something, everything goes really! 😂 The only thing is my nipples have been crazy sore so if I get a BFN next week that's just a weird random new thing.

Have a lovely weekend all xx

Fcukthetww · 29/10/2016 10:38

Hey Tata- the tingly nips were the ONLY symptom I had until my bfp so I'm keeping it all crossed for you- they're still my only pregnancy symptom really if you discount the constant peeing and insomnia ha. Oh is being an utter star xx

ellesbellesxxx · 29/10/2016 13:50

Hello lovelies.

Goodthings and Mist been thinking of you lots xxxx

FCUK - eek that must have been really scary :( Glad OH been fab and glad you got to see little bean! Wow! Hope Thursday goes well and you are getting lots of rest.

Tata - keeping everything x - the 2ww is awful isn't it?

AFM, just counting down until Monday's scan. Been feeling absolutely vile for a week now, been sick a couple of times but just constant nausea, exhaustion and sleeplessness! Hope it's a good sign!
xxx

astridforty · 30/10/2016 13:37

Is a BFP ever not a real BFP? In typical fashion because I've generally got the patience of a trapped wasp, I've tested just now instead of waiting till 3/11 so 4 days early and it's definitely positive.

All crampy symptoms and huge boobs have gone - much like my last pregnancy when I just felt absolutely normal.

Don't want to jump the gun, was going to test again in the morning with a different brand and see. Have a massive permagrin.

Tata, keeping fingers crossed for you and anyone else on 2ww. xx

tatatetelle · 30/10/2016 21:51

Astrid I have never heard of a false BFP so.... Huge congrats!! I hope tomorrow's test confirms it, keeping everything crossed for you!!

Elles enjoy seeing your little bean tomorrow!!

Thanks all for your encouragements, YES the tww truly is awful! Sore nipples are still here, dh is also finding my breasts bigger/fermer (sorry tmi!!), my hips are sore and I am feeling constant mild cramps around my ovaries so trying VERY hard not to get overly excited. One more week to go and we'll know eeeek!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend xx

HelloMist · 30/10/2016 22:16

Astrid, did you have a trigger injection before egg collection? If you test too early that might still be in your system and give a positive. Don't know your protocol though and it has probably been a long time since EC, hopefully this is not relevant! (especially if seems strong) but thought I should mention it.

Thanks, Tata.

Astrid, all sounds very positive, keeping everything crossed for you.

Tata, from what I've read yours sound very positive too Smile. Keeping everything crossed you get a lovely pressie in next week or so! When can you test?

Mist, hope you're looking after yourself.

I'm off to my follow up app soon, hoping for some good news in that we can start again asap. Xxx

ellesbellesxxx · 31/10/2016 09:14

tatatetelle · 31/10/2016 10:38

Elles I hope everything goes well today my love, let us know!

Astrid, any news today? Were you able to test again this morning? Fingers x for some good news for you!

Goodthings is your appt today? I hope they give you some good news! I ov'ed on 22/10 so I'm aiming to test on 6/11 (cd14) - that's enough time to get an accurate reading, right?

Goodthingscome2those · 31/10/2016 11:15

Just to let you lovely ladies know, they are pushing me through so I can start another fresh cycle before Christmas as they shut so would mean waiting until new year. I am starting the pill today then hopefully start short protocol around 1 month from today and will prob test between Christmas and new year!

Sad I'm in this position but happy to be giving it another go so soon Smile. Xxxx

tatatetelle · 31/10/2016 11:23

Goodthings that's great news!! I think it's great you're able to start trying again so soon, it sort of forces you to look forward in some way. How do you and dh feel about it? xx

Goodthingscome2those · 31/10/2016 11:30

In a weird way I'm really happy about it, basically best of a bad situation.

OH is happy as long as I'm happy to start again so soon which I am so just got to hope for the best and if it doesn't work again hope we get more Frosties which will work! Xxx

ellesbellesxxx · 31/10/2016 12:34

I obviously wish it had worked out for you but that's great news you can go again so soon my lovely!!!!!!

Ok... so... it's TWINS?!?!

Fcukthetww · 31/10/2016 12:41

Oh my god!! Elles!!! Gobsmacked. How very exciting xxx

ellesbellesxxx · 31/10/2016 12:56

Gobsmacked sums up how we are feeling!
Keep going from feeling ecstatic to terrified that they won't both make it... please can I stay here with you ladies? I feel like a fraud elsewhere still xx

Goodthingscome2those · 31/10/2016 13:04

Oh my god Elle's, that's great news Smile, must be a bit daunting but excellent, I'm so happy for you xxx

tatatetelle · 31/10/2016 13:07

Elles my lovely of COURSE you can stay here as long you want!! Did the Dr say anything that might have worried you? I understand it's stressful and worrying, but focus on the positive - you saw them today!!!

And also..... OMG TWINS!!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin DH and I used to joke we wanted twins to get the 2 kiddos we wish for in one go aha

ellesbellesxxx · 31/10/2016 13:23

Ah thank you lovelies. She said they were where they should be... and we have been discharged to gp which is all really positive!
I think at every point with IVF you are given caution so I can't ever relax! Xxx

tatatetelle · 31/10/2016 16:31

Then they are perfectly doing what they are supposed to, you should focus on that Smile I know it's so hard but you're doing all that you can for them, and by looking after yourself, you're looking after them too so you do just that xx

HelloMist · 01/11/2016 15:23

Elles wow! great news that both where they should be and looking OK. :) Congratulations. If you want a "safer" feeling pregnancy thread than the due date ones there is a "Pregnancy after infertility" one where they understand the fear we still feel.

Goodthings that's good! I just rang up to book one too and was a bit disappointed that my follow up will be almost a month off! :( They're busy at the moment. I needed a little time to think but it would've been good to get it done and feel like we can (start to) move on. Glad you'll be starting soon! I am reasonably happy to wait so won't be until the New Year sometime.
