WANTED- cycle buddies who are ttc#1 and planning a FET in April/May

I'm in need of some buddies! Smile

A long story short is that I have been ttc#1 for 19 months now. I have severe PCOS and don't ov or cycle naturally.
Last year I was told that DH and I would only have a chance of conceiving through IVF, after numerous other fertility treatments failed.

In February this year we had our first ISCI IVF cycle at Reprofit in the Czech Republic (DH has 2 DDs so we are not eligible for treatment on the NHS) We got 12 eggs, 8 fertilised and 6 made it to blasts! We had one transferred and fell pregnant! But at 4+4 blood tests confirmed that the pregnancy wasn't viable and at 5 weeks we had a very early mc (I hate the phrase CP as I think it trivialises it)

The last few weeks have been such a struggle physically and mentally but we are keen to try again so are planning another trip to Reprofit to be reunited with one of our Frosties! Smile

Scared and excited in equal measures and would love some buddies to share in this new and unknown part of the 'journey' with. X

Hi Rose, My weekend was OK thanks.

No, I didn't have the ocupuncture done in the end, I spoke to my Chinese Doctor yesterday and they agreed to needles in my forehead only to help me relax - not a full acupuncture. I opted for yoga at home instead but that didn't work, went to bed last night with more cramps than the night b4 and woke up with the same this morning. Planning on having a session done end of this week.

Found that my appetite has grown since my FET and my brain hasn't caught up with my tummy as yet so I found the last two days ive been on the verge of headaches b4 I realised i needed to eat.
Feeling a bit better today, so plan to stay indoor / in my garden relaxing, not over- doing it like I did yesterday.

Still no AF? that is annoying. As well as Reflexology you could also consider a couple sessions of acupuncture - it could help to stimulate your blood flow

stealthbanana · 09/05/2016 19:38

Oh ffs rose WHERE is your AF? And what happens if it doesn't come?! You have done a hpt haven't you?!

simmy sounds like you had a lovely weekend

Grumpelstiltskin · 09/05/2016 20:10

Ha- I also had a ironidiff-thought but of course this isn't your first rodeo, right rose! Come on AF!
HAVE you poas though?
Wink

Vixxfacee · 09/05/2016 20:16

Coming on to say POAS on a stick as well! How long has it been since your last tablet?

Glad to see everything is progressing nicely for your stealth!

Grumpel how are things with you?

Glad your transfer went well Simmy. 3 embryos! Fingers crossed for you.

My transfer is booked in for 12 tomorrow. I am a bag of nerves.

RoseBud2016 · 09/05/2016 20:18

Haha! Alas sadly Stealth and Grumpel I POAS this morn and it was arctic white....No ironidiff here! If only ha?!

Vixx I'm wishing you all the luck in the world for your transfer tomorrow. Lots of relaxation and calmness for you in the coming weeks Smile You and Simmy can hopefully help each other not to go too mad in the 2 wk wait.

You know your body is f@@ked when even AF inducing meds don't induce said AF! Angry

Aaaaah good luck for tomorrow vixx! I was a complete bag of nerves. I think the pre-transfer acupuncture is good mostly because it forces you to lie in a quiet room and breathe deeply. Really recommend doing some breathing exercises pre transfer. You'll be PUPO this time tomorrow - woo hoo!

Damn, rose! So what happens if AF doesn't show? Do you take something else or just crack on?

Grumpelstiltskin · 09/05/2016 20:36

Ooh vixx huge good wishes for tomorrow! It's been a long time coming so you're bound to feel emotional. Echoing rose in hoping you can feel a measure of calm and relaxation afterwards (ha right!)

Urgh, rose that's massively frustrating. Sodding bodies.

On a random tangent I'm CD22 now and usually I'd have way-sore post-ov progesteroney boobs by now. It's like clockwork right up until AF. But since the mc haven't had them at all despite a normal AF since. Clearly the initial thought process here is 'oh god I can longer make my own progesterone'. Must dial it back! Probably still resetting myself... Right?!

Vixxfacee · 09/05/2016 20:45

Thank you Smile

9 days is so strange. Is it the same tablets you have taken before or a new brand?

Vixxfacee · 09/05/2016 20:46

Thank you grumpEl and stealth.

I will do some breathing exercises before bed!

stealthbanana · 09/05/2016 20:46

grumpel I only ovulated twice but had my progesterone checked and it was over 50 both times and I never had so much as a sore nipple. So wouldn't worry about it, I don't think non-sore boobs means you're not making progesterone. Probably your body has just got the hump as you've put it through so much and is refusing to give you helpful signals now Grin

Vixxfacee · 09/05/2016 20:47

Grumpel it takes quite few cycles to get back to 'normal'. Such a pain in the arse

Grumpelstiltskin · 09/05/2016 20:51

Obvs I am being a muppet, thanks for reassurance though. Think pre-FET anxiety is starting! Confused

Will be cheering you on tomorrow vixx - come and let us know how it went, won't you? Flowers

RoseBud2016 · 09/05/2016 21:04

Vixx Same brand and same dose too I'm pretty sure! Update us tomorrow after transfer xxx

Grumpel You can have my ridiculously sore boobs if you like?! I never get sore boobs before medication-induced AF usually. I think our bodies are messing with us just for sh@ts and giggles! AngryGrin

stealthbanana · 10/05/2016 06:31

Good luck today vixx!

Vixxfacee · 10/05/2016 09:29

Thank you! They said come in with a full bladder. Any ideas how much water I should drink? (Silly question I know ).

stealthbanana · 10/05/2016 09:36

I drank a 500ml bottle of water about 30-45mins before my scheduled transfer transfer. My bladder was extremely full Grin, not helped by the fact the doctor was running 30mins late. But something of that quantity should be plenty.

stealthbanana · 10/05/2016 09:36

Sorry *scheduled transfer time

Vixxfacee · 10/05/2016 09:43

Thank you Smile

Simmy123 · 10/05/2016 10:03

Hi Vixx,
Thame amount of water depends on your weight / BMI. At 8.5 stones, I drank 2 x 500ml bottle - 1 whilst travelling to the Hispital and the other at the hospital 20mins b4 procedure. For me this amount was too much, I was very un- comfortable during procedure and almost wet myself trying to get to the loo at the end of the procedure. They said 500ml would have been enough for my BMI.
Very best of luck for today. I have you in my prayers.

Vixxfacee · 10/05/2016 13:27

First time I haven't had to wait in the clinic! 1 embryo on board. They said it is good quality and didn't look like it had been frozen and was doing exactly the same as pre freeze. Have to go back on the 24th for a blood test. My first ever 2ww!

Grumpelstiltskin · 10/05/2016 13:35

Yay! Glad it all went well. Congrats on being PUPO!

stealthbanana · 10/05/2016 14:16

Fantastic vixx! You're PUPO!! Congratulations!!
