Did my first needle tonight was so nervous was about to inject myself when I dropped the needle, had to get it ready again, then I just paused when I had to inject myself hovering the needle over my stomach, I couldn't mentally do it, it was like being in a dream where you cant run any faster, I held my breath and did it, I didnt feel a thing, not even when I pushed the liquid in. Will keep posting how it all goes, would love to hear from other people..

hyland I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember! I think he said 7.4 or 7.2. Low side of average for my age I was told.

Wispin · 03/06/2016 07:59

Smurfy I'm so happy for you, that's wonderful news.

Thanku wispin, how are you doing xx

bananafish81 · 03/06/2016 19:42

Hyland I didn't have any symptoms at all. I felt a bit periody - so absolutely had nothing that made me think it might have worked

Don't know about the three cell specifically but I know that embryos can divide into odd numbers of cells, which I was surprised about as I'd assumed it was 2-3-6-8 etc

How are you feeling? When are you due to test?

Wispin - been thinking about you, how are you doing?

Thinking of you too bean

Drink - I've had three fresh cycles and one cancelled cycle where I had 2.5 weeks of down reg before the cycle was cancelled, so I have given myself a LOT of injections over the last year. I promise once you've done the first couple you'll be doing them like a pro

Just in the in between stage now - waiting for my period and then will see if lining has shed OK and if ovaries are looking ok to crack on with a FET straight away. Not sure how it'll align with PGS results - I'm hoping we can assume that there's at least one decent one amongst 12, so we can crack on in the interim if needed.

Will be doing a short protocol FET so we would start me on the oestrogen pills as soon as my lining had thinned - no down regging

Hyland · 04/06/2016 07:38

I am so scared about testing tomorrow, filled with dred. Knowing from experience how our world just stops when we don't get the desired result. Like a spoilt child throwing a tantrum, we too act irrationally.

It is odd you spend the wait eating up time wherever possible and when they day finally comes you know that you have no more hope left.

Just a negative or positive on a stick. If i dont pee, I still have hope, crazy.

The thought is just sickening!

We will have an awful Sunday from start to finish or a delirious happy Sunday.

IVF gives you bipolar in a sense, who knew.

Smurfy1981 · 04/06/2016 08:25

Aw hyland i will be thinking of u tomorrow and will have everything crossed xx

drinkyourmilk · 04/06/2016 18:25

hyland good luck for tomorrow.

I understand what you mean about just trying to use up time until you can test.
I have everything crossed for you .

Hyland · 05/06/2016 08:15

Hyland, my tummy is still getting crampy and feel quite bloated too xx

Hyland · 05/06/2016 08:49

Have you taken anything for it?

Smurfy1981 · 05/06/2016 09:04

Occasionaly paracetamol hun, but nothing else, i was told i could take dyhidracodeine because of my back too- but ive just stuck with paracetamol x

drinkyourmilk · 05/06/2016 11:11

Hyland that's fantastic news!! Grin Congratulations.

I was warned the pessaries could cause cramping and bloating too.

what's your clinic protocol for scans? Ours is done 2-3 weeks after positive result.

Smurfy1981 · 05/06/2016 12:31

I go for my scan in 22nd June- and she said that would be a 7 week scan x

Hyland · 05/06/2016 13:23

DRINKWATER I have emailed the clinic my result. Then tomorrow I'll book the scan that is supposedly 2 wks later.

I continue taking medication for 2 weeks.

Smurfy: I have bought some Lucozade Sport (yuk) for its electrolytes properties but no caffein in the Sports variety, which I have been told to avoid. Increased my water intake and will keep a close eye on my weight and symptoms to ensure I don't get worse.

I had wondered whether they would consider me as being 2-3 wks or 4-5.

Will stay skeptical until the 12 wks has past. Know to many friends and family who have fallen, only to lose it.

bananafish81 · 05/06/2016 13:54

Woohoo!!!!! Hyland this is terrific news. So, so, so, very very happy for you

Amazing!!!

bananafish81 · 05/06/2016 13:59

Hyland for IVF when anyone asks you your LMP you just subtract 14 days from egg collection and use that - that's how they'll work out your dates and you know they'll be right cos you know when it (they!) went back

For a FET it's the same but you add on the number of days of the frosties. So for a day 3-er, it's 14 days +3, +5 for a blast

Hi all!

I'm back and thrilled to see Hylands news. Maybe we will be a second time round success thread?. I've been dropping in but forgot my password so didn't post. I am half way through a fet (pre embryo transfer) so trying to not think too much about defrost day and my anxiety about whether my embryo will defrost!
Doing my best to stay more chilled this time round, tbh a fet is a cakewalk compared to a fresh cycle.
How are my old cycle buddies wispin and bananfish? Hope you are both well!

Hyland · 09/06/2016 23:35

I thought of you Amara when i posted my result. Hoping you would see it, as i knew it would give hope, as our cycles were similar with follicles and egg numbers if I recall.

Hope all is well for Drinkwater and Bananafish.

Wispin and Bean hope to see you on the thread again at some point. So tough handling the dissappointment after a cycle, so thinking about you both x

bananafish81 · 09/06/2016 23:57

Amara good luck!! Are you doing a medicated or natural FET? (If medicated long or short protocol?)

We got the results of the PGS testing back much earlier than expected, amazingly, out of the 12 blasts tested, we have 6 that came back as chromosomally normal Grin

So just waiting for my period and then hoping to crack on with a FET to get one of the frosticles put back

FET won't go ahead unless I've had a proper period and clear out, as I haven't had a bleed since the miscarriage (and there was some old blood still there when Dr did the hysteroscopy) - and as we think the lining was the reason for the miscarriage, Dr won't transfer unless he's confident in the quality of the endometrium

So just wearing white knickers to tempt law of sod and hope for Niagara Falls. I know I haven't had a proper period since starting TTC, but that's cos I never had any decent lining. Surely 11mm has to go somewhere??!

Assuming I do get a proper period, will be doing a short protocol FET so will start oestrogen tablets asap after getting the green light at baseline

Smurfy1981 · 10/06/2016 11:32

Hi amara good to see u back x
