Did my first needle tonight was so nervous was about to inject myself when I dropped the needle, had to get it ready again, then I just paused when I had to inject myself hovering the needle over my stomach, I couldn't mentally do it, it was like being in a dream where you cant run any faster, I held my breath and did it, I didnt feel a thing, not even when I pushed the liquid in. Will keep posting how it all goes, would love to hear from other people..

I'm not on Cetrotide, I'm on Orgalutran, I assume it is the same thing though.

I'm not PCOS either.

Just a weirdo with mainly unexplained for 4 n half years.

Told i may have 10% scar tissue on lining then a recent scan detected no scarring at all.

Slow spill left tube but not technically blocked.

Semen just under average and improved after recommended tablets.

bananafish81 · 14/05/2016 14:32

Yes they do exactly the same thing

I know you're not PCOS

But if you're worried that rising oestrogen levels mean that the Orgalutran isn't going to prevent you from ovulating, the PCOS point is meant to indicate that if Orgalutran can prevent ovulation even when oestrogen levels are absolutely sky high in PCOS women

There is no reason why Orgalutran isn't going to prevent you from ovulating with rising oestrogen levels from those lovely growing follicles

Good good.

How are you getting along with your stims since Wednesday.

Smurfy1981 · 14/05/2016 15:31

I have a stinking head ache? Anyone else suffer this ?

Hyland · 14/05/2016 15:36

Yes the first cycle i thought it was down to purely the Buserelin. Had again this cycle as well.

Maybe just stress related.

bananafish81 · 14/05/2016 15:49

Drink loads and loads of water smurfy - headaches v common

Honestly no idea Hyland - major scanxiety about Monday because I'm terrified nothing will be going on in there. Last two cycles i was mega bloated - but that was from the sledgehammer dose of stims, had nothing to do with the response. I was as bloated with 4 follies first time as I was with 14 follies second time. And the bloating abated as the dose was dropped so I know bloating isn't a sign of anything

150iu just seems such a piddly dose to be on, I'm not used to starting a cycle with loads of follicles at baseline. No idea what my crazy ovaries will do!

Smurfy1981 · 14/05/2016 15:49

Its just been the past couple if days- driving me mad!

Smurfy1981 · 14/05/2016 16:12

Thanks bananafish- off for a mickle glass of water now!

Hyland · 14/05/2016 16:14

I was reduced from 225 to 150 during first cycle, told that it would help them grow and stop me from recruiting smaller ones that wouldn't grow in time.

BANANAFISH So Monday will be day 6 of stimms for you then?

Which would mean they could still happily increase dose if needed.

SMURFY I agree with the water remedy. I got lazy this time, drinking water which isnt something i would normally do so frequently.

bananafish81 · 14/05/2016 17:58

Yep, I mean there's no reason for me to think they're not going to grow, consultant was worried they might grow too quickly hence why he started me on Cetrotide immediately at the same time as starting stims - as some follicles were already at 8-10mm and he didn't want my ovaries to go off like rockets and stim too quickly

It's just very strange to be worrying about over responding when we've previously been worried about poor response!

beanhunter · 14/05/2016 18:05

Smurfy - headaches on drugs were a bitch. The only thing that got rid of them for me was acupuncture and sleep.

beanhunter · 14/05/2016 18:06

And banana - I'm sure it'll be fine. Remember bloating doesn't mean eggs (as a wise person said to me 2 weeks again when I was stressing about having no symptoms....)

Wispin · 15/05/2016 20:29

I think my period is coming...it feels the same as the last time ...I've had some light blood.....ill be ecstatic if it is positive tomorrow morning ..but I'm not getting my hopes up...I've got this week off work so that will help..😧

I will be watching all your progress...I will speak to the doctor next week and see what they say...the first cycle I did...I got a grade 4 blastocyst...which had a positive outcome...my last two cycles didn't get that far...got to a grade 2 blastocyst...2 nd & 3 rd time they divided slower past day three...maybe I need a break and a gap will be good for me..

bananafish81 · 16/05/2016 09:48

Wispin hope you can have a well earned break and some time to recharge

Would you consider going abroad for treatment? Know a lot of women on here and FF go to Czech Republic and Greece for IVF because it's so so much cheaper and the clinics get such great results. Obv the logistics are somewhat different but see so many women have great success with Reprofit (Czech) and Serum (Greece)

Good luck smurfy

How you getting on Hyland?

Thinking of you bean
