Did my first needle tonight was so nervous was about to inject myself when I dropped the needle, had to get it ready again, then I just paused when I had to inject myself hovering the needle over my stomach, I couldn't mentally do it, it was like being in a dream where you cant run any faster, I held my breath and did it, I didnt feel a thing, not even when I pushed the liquid in. Will keep posting how it all goes, would love to hear from other people..

Hi girls!

I heard your call! I've been lurking here and keeping and eye and rooting for you all. So delighted about your cycle Wispin!

I'm about to hopefully start my fet in about a month (next cycle). Took me a while to mentally feel up to it but happily I am there now.

This time I'm telling myself I will be doing a fet and fresh cycle this year to reduce my expectation! I noticed that we are all being told to go for short protocol this time and it is really encouraging to see your response to it Wispin!

Fingers crossed for us all. I feel like statistically one of us should have had some luck last cycle so I think this is our time!

bananafish81 · 07/05/2016 16:26

Good luck smurfy!!

Happy birthday hyland, hope you had a fab day

Hope you’re doing OK wispin - when are you due to test?

Yay, lovely to hear from you amara - excited for your upcoming cycle - so pleased you’ve taken the time to give yourself a breather, and come back match fit reading to rock and roll!

Deffo agree with you on the short protocol. I know long protocol is the most commonly used - but it sometimes seems like it can end up being a bit of a default, without necessarily taking into account individual circumstances

Blood test on Weds showed that although my hCG is still very much not yet zero (7 weeks and 2 operations later it’s still at 37!), my system has apparently got bored with waiting and decided to kick back into gear. And actually LH levels showed that hilariously, I was simultaneously both a little bit pregnant AND about to ovulate!!

Dr reckons the overall picture is actually looking pretty decent. Going back on Weds, depends on bloods & scans as to when I'll start stims - but hopefully within the next couple of weeks!

Hyland · 08/05/2016 10:53

Started stimms this morning and everything is pissing me off.

Cant blame that on one injection but certaintly not the stress free surrounding I had hoped.

First scan Thursday (5th day of stimms).

Hello. Room for another one? I'm on my first cycle of IVF and just confirmed trigger for tonight. With you all on the grumpiness and bloatedness - can't even do my jeans up today. Bricking it about Tuesday.

Wispin · 08/05/2016 16:23

Hi Beanhunter, welcome..so excited for you..do you know how many follicles you have to collect...

Smurfy1981 · 08/05/2016 17:52

Hi bean hunter, goodluck xx

beanhunter · 08/05/2016 18:07

Hi smurfy. Thanks.

Hyland · 08/05/2016 21:20

I wish i was in Scotland SMURFY, my parents and 7 siblings moved up there 12 years ago or so. 8 nephew/neices as well so i basically miss out on everything.

When I'm feeling stressed or annoyed i have no close family here. I dont think my partner fully understands how his lot are a bit much for me, like I'm not really part of the click.

Just sometimes it feels very lonely being the only one here.

At least your man tried to make u feel better. Mine got arsey with me and decided to sulk/ignore me.

BEANHUNTER welcome :) I'm sure you will be fine, sounds like you have a nice amount, fingers crossed for you.

AMARA pleased you checked in. I also keep looking at the stats for our group, we should have a higher sucess rate. Seeing as it is 2nd/3rd time for us all.

bananafish81 · 09/05/2016 00:16

hyland I haven’t started stimms yet and everything is pissing me off too - I have no such excuse! Remind me what stims & dose you’re on again? Everything crossed for some lovely follies at your scan on Thu - imagine that’s when they’ll start you on the Cetrotide too

Wispin the progesterone can deffo make you bloated, very very normal, although obv no less annoying!

smurfy hope stims are going well - again, remind me what you’re on and what dose? I’m just well nosy!! Glad hubby is being supportive and hope you’ve had a nice day in the sunshine

Welcome beanhunter - sounds like you’ve got some rocking follies. And as everyone here is currently or about to cycle, you’ve joined at a great time. Enjoy your drug free day tomorrow!

AFM not much to report, just desperately hoping for good news on Weds. Bricking it about my bloods and scan! Will temp tomorrow just to see if it looks like I have ovulated - not too bothered about pinpointing the day, just curious to know before Weds if I did or didn’t lay an egg, as that’ll impact on timings for starting stims..

Smurfy1981 · 09/05/2016 08:01

I am on bemfola 225! Go for a scan and bloods tmoro!
