Infertility

Is anyone due to start IUI??

There are plenty of IVF threads but it seems there is little talk of IUI. I'm starting a medicated cycle when my next af arrives mid January-ish. Well hopefully as it depends on dh's sperm! He was poorly and on meds for a month and the doc needs to check it hasn't affected his little fellas.

A bit about me... I'm 34 and dh is 36. We started ttc Dec 2012 when I had my implant out. We began having tests when nothing had happened after 15months. We have been deemed 'normal' so unexplained infertility. Referred to fertility clinic in Sept 2014 and offered 3 rounds of IUI on the NHS.

Hope to make some cycle buddies :-)

OMFG victoria- congratulations and happy blooming birthday lady! What a pressie!! How you feeling? How's your oh? Wowzers. Congratulations girl. So fab to see.

I spent the night on sofa last night due to MEGA cramps from cyclogest, also, nightsweats, I'm washing/changing bedding on a daily basis! Is this normal? When I say night sweats, I mean literally dripping off me.

Eeeeeeekkk: congrats again victoria. Yikes!!!!! Eeekkkk! Your pregnant xxx

Good luck everyone else, I'll be popping in to cheer you on!

Are period type pains /cramps following a course of clomid normal?

Report
Readyforthefuture · 17/04/2015 06:43

Thanks Bessie, I have everything crossed for you too this weekend!

Fresh, hope everything is going well. I haven't tried clomid so can't help with the cramps question. Hopefully things have settled since your post

Have you called the clinic fresh?

Thanks ladies. Not feeling hopeful today, symptoms fading.

freshbread clomid is awful,I feel for you. Before iui we did 12 rounds of clomid and each month side effects were different, not very pleasant all. Ring clinic if your worried. Hope your OK x

Thankyou I went in wed this week for a check up as I was concerned and Dr did internal scan and said all looked fine, I was really crampy yesterday evening and felt sick but improved now, my proper follicle measuring scan is on Monday. Will update you then! Thanks

Glad your feeling a bit better fresh, fingers crossed for Monday.

Bessie, I guess everyone reacts differently when they are actually pregnant, so you never know. All the uncertainty should be over soon at least.

I've just got back from my baseline scan. Everything looks good, lots of potential follicles looking good to go (hopefully not too many). They've reduced my medication down, and hit my credit card, so I'm off and running again.

I'm still refusing to believe I'm pregnant because I feel virtually normal. Had a few tired spells but boobs look normal and not sore. Didn't feel anything at all until I was 3 days late and thought I'd better test! So don't worry about having no symptoms Bessie

Never took Clomid so can't help you fresh hope you feel better soon. Could it be ov pains do you think?

Victoria just burst into tears at your reply (nutty crackpot scared woman / hormones or what) I hope u and little bean are doing great. Will u have an early scan?

ready glad scan went good! good luck. Its always so fresh and exciting at the start isn't it. New hope and refreshed dreams. Keep positive. All the best chicken.

freshbread ooohh I bet its all good. Least you know your body is doing something. Hope you don't get any other clomid side effects.

AFM: We are going to test in the morning (Saturday) at 13dpiui. Have 2 first response tests at the ready. Can't wait til I know either way. Will update in morning. X x x

I don't even feel hormonal Bessie! The best way to describe my very early preg symptoms is 'slightly hungover' lol! Fingers crossed for the morning, I shall be checking in. No I'm not getting a early scan as I'm no longer under the care of the clinic.
