Only 2 possibly 3 follicles at IVF scan;(

Hi girls,

I hope you re all enjoying the sun! I'm looking for some hope that all is not lost! Attended day 9 IVF scan today. This is my first IVF and no idea how/if I would respond due to having low amh of 2.8.

Unfortunately looks like there are only 2 possibly 3 follicles doing much on one ovary and the other ovary is doing absolutely buggier all. Anyone got any hope to share as I realise that this is a pretty pants response. Am on 450 dose too so it's not like upping it is an option! Has anyone had similar and got much further or better yet got a bfp? X

First time posting on here. Super nervous/ excited and all the other emotions that come with IVF/ICSI. Have two fertlized eggs...advised to wait to blastocyst stage day 5 before transfer but so stressed that neither will make it. Any feel good stories for something similar? Trying so hard to stay positive and think about anything else. :-)

One of my 2 eggs made it to day 3 and then was transferred. It must have made blasto as I got a bfp who is now almost 2.5! My clinic didn't want to wait until day 5 though - they said the best place for it was in me. I'm surprised they want to wait tbh.

I asked them if I would "lose anything" by waiting. They seemed to think if the egg doesn't survive until day 5 it wouldn't have survived inside me either...I know results are just on Wed but it feels like forever. More positive stories very welcome :-)

This is my first cycle of IVF. I went for 9 days scan today, the found my right ovary with 4 follicles and the left ovary with nothing at all. They have told me to continue with the injections as the follicles are not grown to the right size. I'm very anxious at the moment hoping my left ovary would produce some eggs. I have now got to go back for another scan on Monday. Finger crossed it will be all ok.

I was in this position 3 years ago (I started this thread!). 4 follicles, 2 eggs, 1 embryo. He is now 2.5!

Wow that wonderful. I was so upset thinking I haven't produced enough eggs but now there is hope. I need to continue with injections which is pain. I'm hoping Monday will make some difference.
