The old thread which was so popular has become full so thought we'd start one here again for us all to support one another through the clomid journey and celebrate it's successes xx

I'm not doing to bad, had a fairly good day at work and off to gym tomoro morn and personal trainer should give me a good workout Grin how are you today stone ? af is due for me on sat/sun?

kurama · 10/04/2014 22:26

on the upside the pain ive had since cd 16 has just about gone now Grin only lasted week and half lol. I ended up buying maternity over bump jeans as they were the only thing I could find that didnt dig in and make the pain worse when sitting downAngry

Fankletastic · 11/04/2014 08:57

Oh dear Kurama but glad the pain has gotten better.

I forgot about possibly the worst clomid side effect of all: the dryness!! Aaargh Hmm

It's shagathon week for me and I've had to use the active balance fertility spray I bought from Boots when I first went on clomid. Is this a problem for anyone else? Does anyone else use active balance? Or preseed? I've never tried preseed...wondering if I should get some.

I hate the thought of having hostile cervical mucous and have recently started to wonder if that's what's wrong. Can you have it tested for ph levels etc?

So many questions...!

kurama · 11/04/2014 09:42

I get that as well! I bought concieve plus to help. I dont think ph levels are that bad unless ur wamting a boy. I read that girl sperm like acidic levels and boys like alchaline *sp levels....

Hey guys.

Sorry for being off the radar I have had a crazy few weeks which resulted in me not having any time to think in my 2ww so there was no symptom spotting. However I have just had a big fat reminder with AF having started when I went to the loo.

So back to the Clomid for me tomorrow. This will be my third month on it. I have also only just got my results back from my 21 bloods from the first cycle of Clomid.

The sister has said that although I ovulated that month (results previously have shown I ovulate ok) and my progesterone is 47.4 nmol/l however as I haven't had much response to Clomid she has recommended increasing the dosage to 100mg.

Kurama I have noticed dryness since Clomid too. I have been using Preseed for a while.

The only positive is that I will be on holiday with hubby whilst in my fertile week so hopefully sea, sun, sand and extra Clomid will do the trick Grin

kurama · 11/04/2014 15:42

shoegal 3 is my lucky number lol and I should be starting my 3rd cycle next week. im still on 50mg tho. good luck to u Smile

StoneBaby · 11/04/2014 21:08

One of my cousine just had a baby at 38 weeks. He weighs 2kg100g (4lb 6). I was jealous of her when I discovered she was pregnant and now I just hope her and baby will be fine!

Still no PMS which I found very odd.

I'll be on my 4th month of clomid if af turns up.

StoneBaby · 12/04/2014 20:51

How is everybody?

Kurama any symptoms of af or BFP?

kurama · 12/04/2014 21:26

StoneBaby · 13/04/2014 07:52

Oh kurama Sad. I hope you're feeling better today.
I've started my PMS today: cramping and sore boobs.

Let's hope there'll be a BFP this month

Fankletastic · 13/04/2014 11:33

Sorry to hear that Kurama- did the witch show up?

I'm on CD14 and still no positive opk. So looks like this month is out because DH is going away for a week tomorrow for work. My app tells me I'm due to ov on Tuesday but I'm worried the clomid will delay it further and any shagging over the weekend will be too early. Does anyone else notice clomid delaying ov?

kurama · 13/04/2014 12:06

yer fankle shes here in full force today. I seem to get what I think are ov pains on cd16-19 but couldnt say for sure if they are lol due to last 2 months. so I think if I do ov on cd20ish weve prob stopped dtd to early. but kinda impossible to do it when in that much pain. fx this month is better! Wink

Shoegal30 · 13/04/2014 12:23

Hi fankle. I think Clomid has delayed my ovulation too. For the past 2 months my cbfm has shown ovulation at normal time but temping has shown ovulation a couple of days later which never happened pre Clomid.

Me and DH are going to try for most of this month as we think we may have stopped too soon Shock

StoneBaby · 13/04/2014 18:06

I cannot say when I'm ov as okp either shows no ov at all or ov at 14 days. Now I'm just waiting for Wed or Thu to arrive with af.

I guess next month I'll know as I'll be monitored closely for IUI

kerrylou84 · 13/04/2014 18:36

Has anyone tried reflexology?

StoneBaby · 13/04/2014 18:41

Not yet kerry but when in the cycle should it be done?

kerrylou84 · 13/04/2014 21:30

Well I had it done on day 13 and pretty sure I ovulated the next day. But I didn't book if for that day for that reason, I just booked it hoping for the best.

"Reflexology is the manipulation of specific points on the feet, hands or ears that correspond to a specific part of the body; it is believed that by manipulating a specific point that the body will be brought back into balance and harmony, “correcting” any related problem. This is a simple description of reflexology – it is in fact a lot more complex process than the space of an article allows for."

So in other words, reflexology helps get your system back on track. And I am certain it worked for me. I don't think it matters what day of your cycle you have it done. Even if it doesn't work, it helps you to relax and takes the stresses away.

I am eager to hear of someone else going for this treatment and what the results are xxx

Fankletastic · 14/04/2014 12:14

Kerrylou I had reflexology 3 or 4 times over 3 cycles from October to December last year. It did buffer all for me. Nor has acupuncture, Chinese herbs or abdominal massage. My hubby is quite cynical about all these things and I have to wonder if he has a point...

Fankletastic · 14/04/2014 12:15

That should have said bugger all!! Smile

Shoegal30 · 14/04/2014 22:36

I have been doing acupuncture since December and no luck for me either. I'm thinking of taking a break as it's not cheap.

I am going away for a week on friday and as there is going to be a 6 hour time diff I'm thinking of taking this month off temping and cbfm. What do you guys think? I've been using this stuff for over 12 months so am slightly nervous about going 'native' so to speak. As it's my fertile week whilst I'm away, I'm hoping this will finally do the trick!

Clomidbabymaybe · 14/04/2014 22:59

I am 34 years old. This is my first cycle of clomid. (50 mg) supposed to have been cd's 5-9, but I don't have a period for 5 days so I took them on cd's 2-6 instead since clomid has to be taken while bleeding. So far I have had hot flashes at night and restless sleep. I take them at about 1pm each day and my last pill was today.
This month makes my 2 year anniversary of ttc and I have one working tube, (my left one). I have had 4 early, (before 5 week) doctor monitored losses since May 2013 (the last one in December.) I haven't fallen pregnant again. I tried clomid because since my last miscarriage I have either a blocked tube or my right non-working (blocked tube) has become dominant and the clomid will give me more chances to conceive. All of my losses/pregnancies were unmedicated and my progesterone at my last loss was 7. I am praying that I miscarried all those times because of progesterone issues and not something worse since I have a barely there period and have since I was young. None other of my tests have come back bad and my hubby is normal. I just think I have a serious hormonal imbalance and I am hoping the clomid fixes that..
I also am taking folic acid and (will take) pineapple and Progesterone after ovulation. I also made the hubby start taking a multivitamin. I have had ovary pain since the evening of my first pill. Left side pain which is AWESOME!
Also, I have a 15 year old son and a 12 year old daughter (and my first pregnancy was an early loss,) but no children with my husband now. (together 4 years)
One more thing- I have never really been checked for ovulation but have had normal 25 days cycles until a couple months ago when it went to 27 days. I 'think' I ovulate regularly, but have never been checked. Just figured I did since my cycles were regular.
Sorry for the book! ha ha
Have a great day Ladies!

kurama · 15/04/2014 14:14

welcome clomidbaby hope everyones having a good day?
does anyone else find with the clomid one month af can be heavy and the next almost nonexsistant after the first day???? as im on cd 3 and af has just been getting lighter but last month was quite heavy for the full 5 days.

AnnieHoo · 15/04/2014 18:22

hi everyone! fingers crossed for everyone on 2WW i really really hope it's the month for you.

Clomid shortened my cycle each month from 34 to 28 days. I ovulated last month the earliest ever on day 14 when usually it was 18 /19/20. My periods got shorter and less big clots.
