Well I've bitten the bullet and bought a clear blue pregnancy test! This time last month I was coming on my period (cycle lasted 26 days and on day 25 now)
Having mood swings, going to the toilet more during the night and have heartburn.
Probably me just over thinking things, but its a possibility.
Won't be taking the test for another couple of days.

LottyStar, my periods were so irregular, I would just take tests after 28 days xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 18/08/2013 18:11

Hi kerrylou84 ,I used the clear blue test and did it on the Tuesday and wasn't due till the Friday and it worked X if your due on tomorrow it should show up hun X I really hope you are X
Lottystar fingers crossed that the 10th works for you and it's always good to have the 21 day yest to keep and eye on it X (however mine was really really low, so got very upset and actually couldn't believe that it worked for me xx off to go tomorrow x

kerrylou84 · 18/08/2013 18:50

I think I'm just scared of the result......don't want to see just one line. Guess that's why I'm going to wait a couple more days. Need to ring docs for my 21 day results, and more chlomid cos if I do come on then I don't have any more.
Also, if I take the test too early and it comes back negative then what a waste of £15 lololol!

fIngerscrossed123 · 18/08/2013 19:09

Yeah ,I know what you mean,it's so horrible to do a test cause you was always in a bad mood for the next week ; (
I ended up buying 2 tests as I know if it was a negative I couldn't resist trying another one ,I still find myself doing the cheap pregnancy test even now every other day as I still am really worried cause my levels are so low X What days did u get told to to take the clomid on? I was taking it 2-6 xxxii

fIngerscrossed123 · 18/08/2013 19:10

I didn't mean you were in a bad mood! Lol just read my boost back I meant I was in a bad mood! Lol xx sorry xx good luck :)

kerrylou84 · 18/08/2013 19:32

Well that wouldn't make a difference to me cos everyday I'm in a bad mood at the moment lol.
Yeah took it days 2-6. Xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 18/08/2013 19:39

:(

kerrylou84 · 18/08/2013 20:39

I blame it on my hormones......could it be a sign of pregnancy?

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 09:40

Well my results have come back satisfactory, but don't know anything else as my doctor isn't available to speak to until tomorrow. But I'm happy!
Day 26 and still no sign of period starting!

Lottystar · 19/08/2013 12:24

I hope so Kerry, keeping my fingers crossed for you. Good news on your bloods. What do they look for in your results? Your Progesterone level? What should it be if you ovulated?

Day 26 for me too and no sign of period but I'm that irregular it means nothing alas. TMI but I have that egg white discharge at the mo, isn't that a sign of pending ovulation? I'm pretty sure (without a blood test) that i did not ovulate on 50mg. Confused and did an opk which said negative. Hmmm. Will ravish hubby tonight just incase Winkxxx

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 12:59

Hi lottystar
Yes they check for progesterone levels. I'm not sure what the levels should be to show ovulation, but my levels last month were 133 after chlomid, compared to the usual 2 without chlomid.
My periods are really irregular too, I'm just hanging onto the thought that this time last month I came on!
Have you not had day 21 blood tests?xxx

Lottystar · 19/08/2013 14:18

No, they are starting my 21 day blood tests next month when I go on 100mg. I had none for my first month (50mg) so I'm not sure what their logic is in upping my dose but I've had to ask my GP to do them next month as the clinic don't do it until you have a "regular cycle". Saying that to someone who hasn't had a period for a year is rather interesting. Did Clomid help regulate your period last month then? Xx

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 15:36

Well I got my period in day 26, which is the shortest my cycle has ever been. Don't really know what's going on this month though. I keep taking that test out of the cupboard and wanting to take it but keep putting it back lol. I did however take a cheap Asda test this morning which was negative, but it only cost £1 so wasn't building hopes up with that one haha.
Will speak to my doctor tomorrow to see what he thinks.

Lottystar · 19/08/2013 16:41

I really hope it's your month Kerry - how long have you been taking Clomid and how much are you on? Try to resist temptation tho and wait for a few more days to rule out your period. I know it is so hard xx

With my first pregnancy I just knew early on -- my body felt different somehow and I was ultra moody. This was a few weeks before the prenancy test showed positive, i thought i was going mad! Then came the frequent peeing, sore boobs etc and nausea. PCOS is a funny thing, I fall pregnant twice unaided and now my body decides no more periods / ovulation. Very bizarre.

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 17:17

I have been taking it for 2months now and on 50mg. My results last month were just brilliant as I've never ovulated before, well not that I know of as all other results were negative, but it just gave me that bit of hope.
I was tested for PCOS, had a scan, camera and a million and one blood tests, was just the worst and most depressing time. As I've said before I never really wanted kids until I met my partner who I'm with now, then to tell him that I didn't think I could have kids was just heartbreaking. (i always had a feeling something wasn't quite right.)
Well this morning when I woke up my breasts did feel a bit tender, but i think I'm putting things into my head lol, buy mood swings are terrible at the moment, very emotional. This is what makes me think it could be a period as I do get emotional with them.

Yes, mother nature sometimes has a strange way of working!
At the moment I am so interested in watching videos on YouTube etc about fertilisation and what goes on inside the woman's body during pregnancy......has this happened to anyone else? Also loving watching One Born Every Minute.....just wish it was on every day!xxx

Kimbob1986 · 19/08/2013 17:59

Hi everyone above. I've just been looking at your messages about pregnancy testing. Last month I decided not to take a test as I had enough of seeing a negative result and I started my period anyway. It turned out that I was pregnant!! Unfortunately it was Ectopic (really gutted as I have been trying for 4 years) so I was rushed into hospital and received emergency surgery as my ovary ruptured (it was and ovarian ectopic). I am holding into the fact that I fell pregnant on my second month of Clomid!!

Good luck everyone!!!

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 20:27

Hi kimbob.
So sorry to hear your news, but on the upside you did fall pregnant so there is hope!
What dosage are you on?xxx

Lottystar · 19/08/2013 20:32

Kerry, that sounds really positive - that the Clomid is making you ovulate on such a low dose. I'm sure it will happen for you and your partner, just try to keep positive and not obsess about it (ha - which I am failing at miserably!) What day are you thinking of doing a test? Day 28 / 30?

Kimbob, so sorry to hear about your ectopic, I've read that they're a little more common with Clomid. But as sad as it is you're right to look on the bright side as you got pregnant Smile xx

kerrylou84 · 19/08/2013 21:50

Ha I'm trying not to obsess but every day om feeling my breasts to see if they're sore, HA HA! I'm going to try hang on til day 30, but its hard! I've got plenty on this week to keep my mind occupied......decorating, eurgh!

tryingforsolong · 20/08/2013 13:50

Hi everyone, just an quick update, clomid month 3 was a fail Sad. My cycle was lengthened by 5 days though to 31 days, which I am hoping means it has sorted out this "unexplained" problem I must have!

After feeling really down, after making my mind up that month 3 is the last attempt at TTC, I feel strangely relaxed about the whole thing now.

Anyway, I'm making an appt to see my GP to tell her and see what or if there anything else we can do or try.

I can't give up, I just can't.

I hope everyone is doing ok xx

Lottystar · 20/08/2013 15:29

Sorry it didn't work out for you Tryingforsolong. Why only 3 attempts on Clomid? I may have missed an explanation in an earlier post.

If you are thinking of ttc naturally get yourself on a decent dose of Agnus Castus. I think it really helped me conceive my first time around. Women have been using it since ancient times apparently to assist in regulating / improving their cycle. Worth looking into.

Good luck whatever you decide is best for you and your partner xx

Ally1408 · 20/08/2013 15:32

kerrylou84 · 20/08/2013 16:02

Sorry to hear that trying.
If you are starting to feel relaxed about everything now then you never know, your body might feel the difference and it may happen naturally for you.
I believe that once you let go of the 'trying' and the stress then things will happen! Really hope it does xxx

Welcome to the thread Ally. Sorry to hear your sad news.
Its day 27 for me and I'm waiting for doctor to ring me with the results of my day 21 blood test.....I know they were 'satisfactory' but not sure what that means!xxx

kerrylou84 · 20/08/2013 18:39

Just had the doctor on the phone......my progesterone levels were 103 this time, (he said levels of 20 and above show ovulation has occured.) so 50mg chlomid works for me. He is going to prescribe me another 2months worth, and if that fails then I get 2 more months then that is all. I don't know what happens after that :-(
xxx

Kimbob1986 · 20/08/2013 18:50

Hi Kerrylou, I'm only on 50mg. I'm going back to the fertility clinic next week so I will have to wait and see what they say. I'm not sure how long I will have to wait until we can try again.

Welcome Ally. I've really found this group helpful, it's so nice to have people to talk to people who understand and don't think that you are neurotic!! In fact my husband can't get over the fact that I have pregnancy tests everywhere (including in my car!! Lol).

Tryingforsolong, Kerrylou is right they do say that the more you relax the better but not everyone are at that stage yet, I've really got my fingers crossed chick xxx
