Hi, im on my second month of 50g clomid hoping it works this time, i have been trying to become pregnant for 2 years now i already have a 3 year old daughter and they are not sure why im struggling to become pregnant again. I would love to hear some good news about clomid i dont think i can take anymore negative tests :( The hospital have only given me 3 months of 50g and said if it does not work they wont give me anymore! so i dont no what they do next. i havent really had many side effects from it just headaches. If anyone can let me know there experience that would be great thanks

Hi lotty star,
I was lucky I was monitored all way through, I had the follicle screening which basically tells you when you are going to! However they do say if you are having regular inter course it doesn't matter (for chlomid to be successful you have to ovulate no later than 21 days not sure what earliest is?) I ovulated later - it was day 19 when I fell. They didn't give me the pro 21 day test ? Each local authority must be different? If you can afford private maybe try that? I know they say be patient but I understand how hard it is! My friend is in the same position she is going private, it was a 6 week wait on NHS and 2 dat private ? Don't think they do anything different just speeds things up and maybe given more time to chat. I always had a million questions but felt didn't have enough time to chat !
That's what this is for to have a good rant - it's hard because even friends don't understand x x x

kerrylou84 · 14/08/2013 14:42

Hi lotty. I think you need to book in with your normal GP and ask for a blood test. How are you meant to know what's going on with your body when they arent doing what is normal!
I've had loads of day 21 blood tests but this is only my second round of chlomid. Had blood test today so hopefully will have results back by tomorrow or Friday.
I've never had any scans to see how many eggs there were last time or anything, just basically got to get on with it. It's so frustrating xxx

Lottystar · 14/08/2013 21:08

Thanks so much ladies, coming on here makes me feel a little less crazy! I've got an appointment with my GP tomorrow so going to really push for a blood test next month when I start the 100mg. Good luck with your results Kerry and congrats again Adelle xx

Hi lotty star,I was reffered due to my cyst back in Jan and went private for this as I have insurance through work . While I was there they kept a close eye and ended up having a laposcopy and a hystroscopy through key hole and then she proscribe me clomid on a prescription then paid for the scans to check what was happening they cost £120 at my clinic for the scans ,I thought I would pay it as at my surgery none of the doctors will prescribe clomid, and I was told to see anyone was a 4 month wait xx I have been going back to my doctors for the 21 day blood test as they were kind enough to do those for Me otherwise it would be £40 each blood test X I hope this helps a little X
sending loads of baby dust out xx xx Take care everyone

kerrylou84 · 15/08/2013 07:53

Did you test early fingerscrossed? I've tested today but don't know why as I know its way too early to tell. Just thought I would give it a try though xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 15/08/2013 08:08

tryingforsolong · 15/08/2013 08:48

hi everyone, hope you're all feeling ok today Grin

Today is CD30. Still nothing. No symptoms at all Confused.

In a way I'm glad this is it for us, I seriously can't take this any more. I'm not getting my hopes up, but apart from the first month on Clomid I've never had a cycle this long. I usually start spotting CD25/26 so to get this far with no signs is a miracle!

Hubby is getting is hopes up though, I keep telling him not to.

Its the Clomid, it's just lengthened my cycle thats all.

Now I'm not sure if I can feel slight cramps or if its all in my head, I'm just going to drive myself crazy today. I'm stuck at work too which doesnt help.

Sorry its all me, me, me, but just needed to get it all off my chest.

kerrylou84 · 15/08/2013 08:58

Hi fingerscrossed.
To be honest I don't know when I'm due as my periods were so irregular, but last month (first month on chlomid) I started feeling cramps on day 25 and started bleeding day 27. I'm only day 22 now and don't know if its just me over thinking things but could feel slight cramps last night.
I don't think its happened again this month. Will get my day 21 results tomorrow xxx

Lottystar · 15/08/2013 09:50

Tryingforsolong, I really, really hope this is your month. I have only been in this crazy process since April when I was referred to a fertility specialist at the hospital and I'm finding it such a draining, difficult experience ... The hopes, then usually the disappointment (well so far!) Just had my first round of clomid, on day 25 now and I'll be very surprised if I bleed on my own so then back to Provera and 100mg of clomid next time. I didn't ovulate this month so no bubba for me unless somehow I missed it, but I tested with opks everyday. So are you being referred for IUI or IVF? Or when you say "that's it" do you mean you've literally had enough? Spreading baby dust your way and keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

kerrylou84 · 15/08/2013 09:54

Sorry my cycle was 26 days. I've just used an online ovulation calendar and it said I should of been most fertile from the 3rd august to the 8th august. Now I know for definite if those dates are right then I would have caught it on the 3rd, but I had an awful sickness bug for the next 2days after that, which obviously meant no sex. Sorry for too much info!
Here's hoping those dates are right xxx

dprecious · 15/08/2013 10:05

hi all. Sorry i've been away for so long. Just needed to cool off. Congratulations to all the bfps in the house. And a big hug to you all going through hard times like me. I'm sure we ll all get there some day soon. I'm off clomid this cycle and off ttc for now. I'm considering trying soy isoflavone when next i'm ready for ttc. Has anyone here tried it? I'll love to hear your view. Fingers XXXX 4us all.

kerrylou84 · 15/08/2013 16:46

I think my period is coming.......done nothing buy be a right b*h to my boyfriend, cry and eat chocolate! And I've just had a worrying thought that if it does come, I havnt got any chlomid to take! And trying to get in to see my doctor is like trying to find a needle in a haystack!

hopeful27 · 15/08/2013 20:21

So happy for you fingerscrossed!!!! How are you feeling?
Ive carried on with sore boobs, on and off waves of cramping which have been right down below rather than normal period pain, tired as hell and v emotional, and have had brown CM/spotting since monday. Period due tomorrow, lets see what happens!!
Hope you are all well ladies, thinking of you all xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 15/08/2013 21:27

Thank you hopeful27,im still worrying that's something will happen :(
I haven't got any symptoms other than cramps daily from last Friday on and off everyday X I had slight spotting once (sorry to much info) and then nothing else at the last friday ,but that seems to be it at the moment , it doesn't really seem real yet X Oh yes your the same day as me with your cycle ,iv got my fingers crossed for you hun X I must admit I thought I would have alot more symptoms xx wishing everyone loads of luck X

dprecious · 15/08/2013 21:43

kerrylou84 · 15/08/2013 21:52

dprecious, what is soy isoflavone? I've never heard of it, is it prescribed off the doctor or can you get it over the counter?
Good luck to you hun xxx

AdelleB1985 · 15/08/2013 21:52

Hi fingers crossed.
I was the same no symptoms really. I'm 6 weeks now and it still doesn't seem real, they are scanning me at 8 weeks? How about you? Feel a bit left to get on with it now ! Can't imagine waiting til 12 weeks. I'm starting to get more symptoms - very tired, feel sick but haven't been yet. Hopefully all good signs. I didn't spot at all? Hope that's not a bad sign ?
Good luck hopeful and to everybody else trying too! X x x

fIngerscrossed123 · 15/08/2013 22:43

Hi dprecious, sorry for not replying hun,but I didn't know what it was either:(
I'm intrigued to what it is X

Take care everyone xx

tryingforsolong · 16/08/2013 11:10

sorry to be brief but I'm at work and have eyes on me!

Today is CD31 and apart from TMI alert a slight pale pink tinge yesterday when i wiped, nothing. No cramps, nothing. I'm so scared that if I rush out at lunchtime to buy a test it will be a BFN.

I said I was giving up after this. However, after 5 years its going to b hard. I might have to try the soy isoflavone - I'd never heard of it so thanks dprecious.

I'm sure everyone is welcome on this thread. I find its hard going in RL when you have no one else to talk to.

fingers and adelle* do you think the pink spotting is a good sign or am I being too hopeful?

Driving myself crazy Sad

Kimbob1986 · 16/08/2013 11:26

Hi everyone, I fell pregnant on my second month of Clomid but I didn't know as I had a period. Unfortunately I was rushed to hospital with severe abdo pain and found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant and that it was an Ovarian Ectopic Pregnancy that had ruptured. I had emergency surgery.
I am holding on to the fact that I fell pregnant. Just got to wait and see now if the doctors will let me carry on with Clomid. Has anyone else had an experience like this?? Xx

kerrylou84 · 16/08/2013 11:27

dprecious, I don't think its anything personal......there's many times I look like I'm having a conversation to myself!
We are all in the same boat and need as much support as everyone else.
I personally think if I hadn't found this thread I would of drove myself insane!
Chin up hun xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 16/08/2013 14:25

Ho tryingforsolong I personally think it is a good sign as I had this happen to me Me on day 10 only once when I wiped X I have had nothing since and I'm day 28 today xx I did have a lot of cramps on off, early on but I think some people don't get cramps X I really hope it's good news for you xx i was always checking for every single symptom possible and it turns out I have only had the cramps, still nothing else,I honestly thought I would have sore boobs and everything else xx
Sending out positive thoughts xx xx

AdelleB1985 · 16/08/2013 19:17

Hi trying
Yes I think it is very good sign, although I didn't spot I did have a crampy feeling! I know what it's like putting off testing - it's nice to have that hope but I think your at a point where you need to bite the bullet! Good luck and let us know x x x

kerrylou84 · 17/08/2013 13:53

Well I didn't get my results yesterday so have to hang on til monday, grrrr!
This time last month (day 24) I was getting really bad cramps which resulted on a really bad period.......but as of yet I'm not feeling any pain at all, so fingers crossed!
Hopefully in the next 4-5 days I can take a test and be happy with the result!

Lottystar · 17/08/2013 15:30

To all those ladies waiting to take their test this month, spreading baby dust your way!

I had to go to the GPs yesterday ... The symptoms I had culminated in blisters in my mouth (yuck!!) and apparently a virus so the upside is that I'm not reacting to the Clomid. My GP also agreed I need the 21 day blood test next month so oddly excited to know if 100mg will work. Day 26 for me now and so just the waiting game until my period or most likely another course of Provera on day 42 (to induce a period).

If your periods are irregular (or non existent like mine!) does anyone know the right time to start pregnancy tests? Xxx
