Hi, im on my second month of 50g clomid hoping it works this time, i have been trying to become pregnant for 2 years now i already have a 3 year old daughter and they are not sure why im struggling to become pregnant again. I would love to hear some good news about clomid i dont think i can take anymore negative tests :( The hospital have only given me 3 months of 50g and said if it does not work they wont give me anymore! so i dont no what they do next. i havent really had many side effects from it just headaches. If anyone can let me know there experience that would be great thanks

Thanks hun, I'm not sure if it helps or not ? Different websites say different things , think its a problem if partner/husband has a low speed count , that's my understanding x (who knows ?)

KW87 · 07/08/2013 16:03

hey yes it makes a negative difference amd lowers sperm count. once a day or every other day.

bouncingbelle · 08/08/2013 17:53

Hi, sad to say I'm back :( just out of a n e after getting stomach pain and it was found that my hcg levels have fallen and I'm expected to miscarry shortly. Absolutely gutted, but its been a lovely experience being pregnant even for the tiniest while, and here,s hoping the clomid works it magic again xxx

Hi bouncing belle
I'm sooo sorry for your loss! How far on were you? I'm almost 5 weeks and have told my family - wish I hadn't in a way but was so happy felt I needed to share!
The good thing is you got pregnant and they say that at least if you get pregnant that's a good thing. I can't imagine what your going through my thoughts are with you x x x

hopeful27 · 08/08/2013 19:05

So sorry to hear that bouncingbelle. I've been reading the thread and getting so excited for you. But as Adelle said it can only be a good thing that you got pregnant so hopefully it will happen again soon.
Good luck all xx

kerrylou84 · 08/08/2013 19:27

bouncingbelle · 08/08/2013 23:37

Thank you all. I'm trying to stay focused on the fact that even getting to the stage of being pregnant is a major step forward. Sticky baby dust to us all xx

SarahJ23 · 09/08/2013 11:32

It took about 3 days to get my day 21 results back x

SarahJ23 · 09/08/2013 11:34

And a far a weight gain goes I did put on over a stone I'm the first 6 months of being on clomid x

SarahJ23 · 09/08/2013 11:39

Sorry the thred updated after I posted, so sorry but don't give up I know it's horrible as you know I've been there not to long ago but u fell one and after you have one misscarage the chances of having a second are redused so I was told anyways also you are more furtile in the first six weeks after that is if you feel ready to try again so soon. I had normal period after my misscarrage 35 days after and then fell again that month. My thoughts are with you in this hard time xxx

kerrylou84 · 09/08/2013 16:52

Well I'm on day 16 and feeling quite different in myself. Might be nothing, well probably nothing, but I'm feeling pretty drained and sick, sometimes in mornings but mainly after I've eaten. Also, my stomach seems to have bloated quite a bit. I weighed myself this morning and I'm another pound down compared to what I was when I first got prescribed chlomid (which is a relief cos I've eaten like a pig). I feel like I've put the stone back on. Kinda hoping its all good, but not going to get my hopes up yet as its Stoll early days. Get my day 21 blood test next Wednesday!xxx

KW87 · 09/08/2013 21:44

bouncing bell i am so sorry but this just means it will happen again. keep positive and it will happen.

this round of clomid is killing im getting horrible fevers and i dont feel well at all. im taking parecetmols to keep the fever down. i meet my doc on monday and i hope he can shed some light

bouncingbelle · 09/08/2013 23:02

Thank you all. I thought I was doing okay, but that's the bleeding just started and with it, the tears.

On the plus side, as my dp said, I would have been devastated if the cycle had failed, so I guess this is just a different type of devastation, but with the comfort of knowing that the treatment IS working and the hope that we will get there one day.

Sorry to bring this thread down, let's have some BFp,s to cheer it up!!! Xx

AdelleB1985 · 09/08/2013 23:19

Ah bouncing belle my heart goes out to you ! I can't imagine how hard it is for you!
I'm 5 weeks but terrified something is going to happen, I still don't have any symptoms apart from sore nipples ? I've heard the more symptoms you have the better ? ?

bouncingbelle · 09/08/2013 23:49

I had all the symptoms at first, crazy acute sense of smell, sore nipples, nausea, bloating and then all of a sudden it just stopped. I was just 5 weeks. My sister is 8 months pregnant just now ( and has been sick every single day since she was 6 and a half weeks) and has had every yucky symptom in the book, but had NOTHING before 6 weeks, so try not to worry, just enjoy these first few weeks when it's all so exciting - what will be will be xx wishing you a healthy and yucky-symptom-free 9 months!!! :)

AdelleB1985 · 10/08/2013 08:57

Thanks bouncing belle
I know I should I just don't want to build my hopes up!
If you weren't bleeding what made you go to the hospital was it just the stomach pains ? They say you are most fertile the next month so fingers if you are ready then maybe you could give it another go! Your right to be positive you hot pregnant it will happen again ! !

Sending lots of love x x x

hopeful27 · 10/08/2013 22:10

Ok, so it was CD 21 of month 3 on clomid yesterday and started feeling really sick after each time I ate and was getting lower back pain. Read a thread about early pregnancy on here last night and started to get a little excited. No nausea today just real tired and very emotional. Think I'm probably just reading into it all too much but I guess time will tell.
Thinking of you all xxx

fIngerscrossed123 · 10/08/2013 23:49

Fingers crossed hopeful27 , iv had light cramps, like slight af cramps for about 4 Days now , i think its way to early still for me to feel anything , so putting it down to maybe a side effect from the clomid x (im not feeling lucky this month girls ) we need some more good news to lift our spirits xxx

hopeful27 · 11/08/2013 19:04

Thanks fingerscrossed, lets just try and keep positive, maybe its the month for both of us!! Baby dust to eveyone xx

AdelleB1985 · 11/08/2013 19:15

I've got my fingers crossed for both of you! Don't worry if you dnt have any symptoms. I'm 5 weeks and other than being tired and slightly sore nipples that's it! When I tested I totally didn't have a clue! They are giving me a scan 2 weeks on wed ' I'm soo excited!

Keep positive lots of baby dust x x x

fIngerscrossed123 · 11/08/2013 20:11

ShamelessInTheCountry · 11/08/2013 22:17

Hi Adele
Congrats!!! Please don't be worried about no symptoms, I'm over ten weeks now and still hardly have anything except for sore boobs and weeing a lot in the night, just count yourself lucky. My sisinlaw who's about to pop hardly had any symptoms too, the old wives tale about more symptoms equals stronger pregnancy is exactly that, a myth, it's purely about how your body responds to the hormones, some people are more sensitive than others.
So sorry to hear about your miscarriage bouncing belle, but it is fantastic tha the clomid worked and you conceived. Have you read about progesterone support at all? A drop in progesterone too early can be one reason for a miscarriage, tho mostly it is to do with the health of the embryo which you can't do anything about. Just thought it might be worth talking to your doc about...
Lots of love all xx

Lottystar · 12/08/2013 01:44

Sorry to hear about your m/c Bouncing Belle, it must be horridly hard especially if others around you are pregnant but as the other ladies have said, the positive is that you got pregnant on Clomid and your body is responding.

Congrats Adele, scans are always so much fun, even the early ones, it makes it all feel very real Smile

I'm on day 21 of my first clomid cycle and feeling utterly crappy. I've not yet had a positive result on an opk so I don't think I've ovulated. On the other hand I've felt nauseous, light headed, tired with slight cramps and a funny metallic taste in my mouth for 3 days now ... Has anyone else felt like this on Clomid? I took my course between day 2-5. I can't be pregnant unless I ovulated super early ... Trying not to get my hopes up xx

fIngerscrossed123 · 12/08/2013 07:53

Hi,iv just had light cramps on off every day since last Friday and I'm thinking it's a side effect as apart from that I'm fine, I have read on the Internet that people can get cramps as it changes your hormones , they are not painful, so I'm not worried xx but no sick feeling or funny taste for me , could be your month :)
X take care X
