clomid success?

Hi, im on my second month of 50g clomid hoping it works this time, i have been trying to become pregnant for 2 years now i already have a 3 year old daughter and they are not sure why im struggling to become pregnant again. I would love to hear some good news about clomid i dont think i can take anymore negative tests :( The hospital have only given me 3 months of 50g and said if it does not work they wont give me anymore! so i dont no what they do next. i havent really had many side effects from it just headaches. If anyone can let me know there experience that would be great thanks

Hey fingers crossed sounds as though you have had a good go and they say its better to do it the day before ovulation because it takes the little swimmers up to 6 hours to be wear they need to be! I think you have got a good shot! The 2 week wait is driving me mad! I don't have any symptoms so thinking af will come this weekend ! I hope not but surely by now I would have noticed something! We dtd every day fir 5 days and I'm now thinking maybe we over fid it? But you get your hopes and just wanna give it a good shot ! Then during the tww you think should I drink? Exercise etc? My advice would be to try and just forget about it otherwise it will drive you mad ! X x x wishing you lots of luck x x

I conceived on my 2nd month of clomid, I never had a prob ovulating but it just wasn't happening so my consultant gave me clomid as for some reason that they don't really know it seems to improve conception rates even in women who already ovulate... I took 50mg first month then 75 2nd month, I know people who it worked for in their 6 month, try as long as they give you I guess! :) I've heard it's rare for them to give more than 6 months tho.
I'd also say that the month I conceived I decided to scrap the whole cutting down on exercise, booze and caffeine during the 2 ww as my instinct just told me A that it was pointless, B I was sick of putting my life on hold for half of every month and C it made the 2ww way longer! And that month hey presto! I should add I exercise nearly every day tennis and squash and I still am now I'm 9 wks and having the odd glass of wine which my consultant basically encouraged. He's been in the biz for 30 years, you've gotta find what you feel right with I guess Hun.
So sorry to hear about the bastard cyst fingerscrossed but don't worry at all about missing that day, you've def covered your ass the amount you've done it around that day hehe

Ps I don't think you can overdo it, if there's sperm there then there's sperm there if you know what I mean, but we didn't have sex the day I ovulated the month I conceived, I just couldn't be arsed and was knackered, i had a v def temp drop so you can see where it happened on my chart, mad really, we did the day b4 and day after tho so the sperm def hangs around, I guess the old NHS 3 times a wk is right as much as I hate to agree with them, haha, even tho it is so hard not to wana do it every day or bloody more around ovu, it just takes the fun out majorly that's all...

I don't know what to say. I'm in shock. I,ve just done a test and it says I'm pregnant!!! I'm in shock!! I spotted for 5 days and just did a test to rule it out!!!

Wow bouncing bell that is fantastic news! When did you start spotting? My cycle is 34 days didn't ovulate til day 19! I'm day 29 now and don't feel any different slight cramps but nothing else (no sore boobs, sickness etc)
I defo agree with you shameless ! It's best to forget Bout it! I'm a teacher so trouble is I've got six weeks to stew over it ! ! But trying to do lots to keep me busy! We missed last months window of dtd because I thought it hadn't worked and was in a foul mood - so really this month is the first real shot ! I heard your usually only on it for 6 months but the nurse says they would prob give me another 6 after this?

I'm so glad I've discovered this sight it's good to talk Snd my poor husband is demented with me ! Great to hear do many success stories - hopefully it will be mine one day x x x x

I may have posted too soon :( I ovulated on day 14, got a good day 21 result of 36 (excellent for me!), but last Friday (day 23) started to get sort of brown spotting when I wiped, coupled with a tiny bit of pink blood in the toilet twice. This went on till Monday and I was convinced the cycle was over. Was feeling queasy on Wednesday and on wed night bought a boots own make pregnancy test just to rule out pregnancy - I REALLY didnt expect anything, but a really faint line came up in the result box. Retested this morning and it was the same - really faint but there. So nipped out at lunchtime and got a clear blue digital one which came up saying 'pregnant' right away! Was over the moon. Just back from gp now - he did a test and it came up negative :( but how could I have got THREE false positives??! I asked for a blood test and will get the results of that on Monday, but feel all the excitements just drained from me now. The not knowing is agony!

Keep thinking positive bouncingbell. I'm hoping this is my month. Day 8, took chlomid days 2-6 and not yet had any side affects. Last month I was terrible with the hot flushes, but it was towards the end of my cycle so not sure whether that was to do with the chlomid or that I was coming on. I havnt been thinking about it as much this time, I just don't want to build my hopes up too much then be heartbroken. So I'm going in with an open mind, if it works then fantastic, if not then there's always next month. My boyfriend was sick last month, 'right its ovulation day........send your swimmers in!' Not exactly the best chat up line lol. Think positive girls, think positive xxx

I'm sure the doctors were wrong! You can get a false negative but never a false positive ! Know it's hard but hang in there! I'm sure you will be! Keep us updated though! Sending you let's of love x x x x

What round are you on and how much are you taking ? I had hot flushes but that was my only symptom ! What day did you ovulate on last month ? I'm on day 29 but my cycles are 34 days ! Just want my af to come so I can start again as I know it has not worked this month :( x x x

Hi Adelle. This is my second round of chlomid and taking 50mg. I ovulated on day 14 last month, which was a huge surprise. My results at the highest have been 3, but this time were 133! My cycle was only 26 days, which again was a huge surprise as I can sometimes go 2months without a period! Was due to go in and speak to ny doctor but he's on holiday.........again!

I got 6 months worth of chlomid and then nurse said if that doesn't work ill get more? Maybe because I wasn't ovulating on my own and don't have any other children ? Think each hospital is different but fingers crossed it will work this month or text ! X x x

It's day 21 progesterone blood test. It's just to show what your levels are and if you have ovulated. I'm gona ask about that scan. Been feeling some slight pain in left side of stomach so hoping that's a good sign xxx

Yea that is a good sign! I could feel my Lil follies growing ! They were on right first cycle then left the 2nd! Scans are good they scan you in day 10 until you ovulate they like to see follicles ovulate between 20 and 22! Mine got too big first cycle they got to 26 mm but I ovulated this month it was 22 when I ovulated so that was better ! Defo ask for scans though x x x

hey did anyone feel nausious after ovulation. i think i ovulated on the 20-21. i have been nausious off and on no throwing up but queezy. my period is due anytime now.

did anyone experience this?

I know I always get like that because you always worry tht its gonna be negative and then your hopes are shatterd :(

Hi all - well, I got another BFp this morning!! I honestly still can't believe it! It's very very early days, so just hoping and praying this little baby sticks about.

I did accupuncture, which I am sure helped me relax if nothing else. Hoping everyone else gets their BFp soon too - I honest never imagined it would be me posting this!!! Xx
