.. that warrants TV interviews etc?
fox attacks twins

Is Max Clifford behind this?

Claig, I am genuinely curious as to what you think is the motivation of "ecologists"?

Ronshar, the last case of classical rabies in the UK was 1902.

ronshar · 01/07/2010 11:26

Cheninblanc Thats what I thought.

claig · 01/07/2010 11:27

the two twins had to have rabies shots.

Cheninblanc, I'm afraid I will leave you to work that one out.

Cheninblanc · 01/07/2010 11:36

I am interested in your opinion?

claig · 01/07/2010 11:43

but you would only think that my opinion is utter nonsense, as you indicated with the link to the speakyourbranes website. You work in the field and therefore could not possibly imagine that it might be true. As the excesses increase over the years to come, it will begin to become evident what is behind it.

ronshar · 01/07/2010 11:46

I dont work in the field and am a bit confused by what you mean Claig.
Do you think that animals are going to take over?
I genuinely dont understand.

Cheninblanc · 01/07/2010 11:57

Errrmmmm... OK. Let's try and break it down.

What excesses?

claig · 01/07/2010 12:03

animals won't take over, don't forget that the ecologists tell us that we have passed the tipping point and that humans are driving the greatest mass extinction ever seen. They are just like the tipping point scares about global warming. These are the excesses. Didn't one of the world's biodiversity experts warn just a few weeks ago that humans will be extinct in 100 years. What do these ecologists think the problem is?

Coolfonz · 01/07/2010 12:14

Wild boars dont attack anyone unless attacked themselves, they are scaredy pigs, ive hit one and it didnt do anything.

Claig is a loony conspiracy freak.

Imho.

ronshar · 01/07/2010 12:15

I like a good consipracy theory

ronshar · 01/07/2010 12:15

Or maybe even a conspiracy

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 01/07/2010 12:18

This thread has veered in tot he Twilight zone BTW, I'm a chicken keeper, so foxes are my collective nemesis.

Coolfonz · 01/07/2010 12:18

In Claig's case they are all out to get him though. First Gordon Brown, now the Foxes and their eco-beardy allies in the science world.

OrmRenewed · 01/07/2010 12:22

Ha! Those bloody ecologists - driving the world to hell in a hand cart. And they can give a nasty bite I've heard.

Cheninblanc · 01/07/2010 12:22

What do you mean by "the problem"?

The scientist who made a rather outlandish statement about human extinction (due to climate change) was a professor of microbiology.

Ecologists study the balance of nature, (to paraphrase a lot): the distributions, abundance, and relations of organisms and their interactions with each other in a common environment.

I suspect most would say that the current challenge is manage resource use so that it remains sustainable for all living organisms.

I am afraid I still don't understand your point?

OhYesIShipThat · 01/07/2010 12:24

I thought Claig was more of a Marxist and there's a huge anti-green thing going on with them. I've never quite understood why.

ronshar · 01/07/2010 12:25

How about really big electric fences around where people live?
That will keep out those nasty children biting creatures.

claig · 01/07/2010 12:30

OhYesIShipThat, I didn't know that the Marxists were anti-green. I used to think that the Marxists were wrong on everything. Interested to see that they are right on something. Have you got any links to what they say?

oh no - it is a known loon?

I was enjoying that...

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 01/07/2010 12:36

Oh Chenin, thank you for posting that link.

Coolfonz · 01/07/2010 12:40

"The Marxists"

cyteen · 01/07/2010 12:41

Foxes are God's creatures too, surely?

OhYesIShipThat · 01/07/2010 12:42

Don't know much about it except that a few years back C4 did a hatchet job of a 'documentary' on climate change directed by somebody called Martin Durkin who calls himself a Marxist. I hadn't realised till then that there was this hard-left anti-green thing going on.

claig · 01/07/2010 12:43

was that the excellent programme "The Global Warming Swindle"?
