hmm. Did he just get the benefit of the doubt do you think - his word against hers?

Or "she knew what he's like when she chose to go back to his house"?hmm

Will she now be named?

These cases are horrible - really hard to determine who's guilty - maybe we should adopt the Scottish Not Proven verdict.

(put this in sleb twaddle before & then realised hardly anybody reads that!)

Yes I did.

People started making a fuss of me for want of a better description. Suddenly everything was about me and what I wanted and how I was feeling.

I became special.

Hulababy · 26/04/2010 22:23

But dittany - all TTTT's comment shows is that some women DO lie about rape.

I don't like TTTT is trying to make herself feel better on this thread by her comment . he has simply admitted that she did it, therefore some women DO lie.

Which we already know is true.

I believe you are being very unfair to TTTT, who has simplya dmitted to doing something wrong - very wrong - in her past. But to say she is tarring all other women as a result, without knowing anything of her background, stories, reasons, etc is very unfair.

AnyFucker · 26/04/2010 22:23

are you for real ?

What happened....did it go to court ?

TimothyTigerTuppennyTail · 26/04/2010 22:24

Ah, I never went to the police. I insisted that I didn't want 'the trauma'.

Dittany, why do you think I'm unique?

jasper · 26/04/2010 22:24

i'm speechless

HerBeatitude · 26/04/2010 22:25

What d'you mean you wanted the attention?

If you want us to believe that you're not just some troll, you'll have to give more details than that - a proper insight into what persuaded you into doing something so awful, rather than jsut the vague "attention" reason that's always dragged out as to why a woman should make a false allegation of rape.

But no-one doubts that women lie about rape. Just as with other crimes, about 3% of rape allegations can be assumed to be false. However, men lie about rape more. 94% of rape allegations do not end in a conviction, even if you are generous and assume a 5% false allegation rate, that's still 89% of rape cases going unpunished. And that's only the reported ones. So it's safe to say that the lies women tell about rape, are dwarfed by the lies men tell about it.

AnyFucker · 26/04/2010 22:26

what happened to the man you accused ?

BelleDameSansMerci · 26/04/2010 22:27

TTTT, if you're for real, I hope you've either grown up or got some help. And thanks for making it so much more difficult for women who have been abused or raped to be tsken seriously. Hope your five minutes of attention was worth it.

TTT - I am guessing this is what you told family and friends for reasons yet unknown to us.

scurryfunge · 26/04/2010 22:30

TTT if you didn't go to the police then you didn't report it....you are full of shit then, even now....still getting attention

AF - nothing.

I made up the story after he was well in my past, so I knew that no-one I knew still knew him (iyswim).

HerBeatitude - I thought I'd explained what sort of attention? Sorry if I haven't.

hf128219 · 26/04/2010 22:32

So I would call that fabricating your past. No offence. Still rather sick mind.

BelleDameSansMerci · 26/04/2010 22:33

I'm leaving this now. If this is true or not, presumably TTTT is after attention. Not getting any more of mine.

Hulababy · 26/04/2010 22:33

"Then what does what you did have to do with what happened in this case? "

Presumably the comment was made because the conversation had moved on to discss whether women ever lie about rape. TTTT says that yes, some women (granted very few) do lie. In that sense the comment is relevant to the thread, although not necessarily to the case itself.

I've told you all something that I'm not proud of, that I did when I was 16, and that I can't change.

Call me a troll if you like.

But it doesn't change the fact that there are women (girls) that have lied about rape.

Hulababy · 26/04/2010 22:34

TTTT - I hope you have made many changes to your outlook and set people straight about your past now. I am sure you are now aware of how dreadful it is to have made usch allegations about a man in your past.

AnyFucker · 26/04/2010 22:34

It appears TT is a prolific poster with no previous hint of trollery

TT...you must have been one unhappy puppy when you did that terrible thing

It is the only explanation I can think of

Do you feel any regret at all?

TimothyTigerTuppennyTail · 26/04/2010 22:37

Yes AF I do.

The worst of it is that it broke my dad's heart and I cannot go back and change it.

Yes, I was a seriously unhappy puppy at the time.

HerBeatitude · 26/04/2010 22:37

+Whether you're a troll or not is immaterial actually, what doesn't change is the fact that however much women lie about rape, it's a drop in the ocean compared to how much men lie about rape.

Women who lie about rape are in the minority....it doesn't detract from the fact that rape occurs and that most who report it are true victims......you could argue that there is a percentage of people who lie about burglaries, thefts, robberies for whatever reason. Just because some lie doesn't mean it can't happen
