He seems really disturbed and looks quite strange.

kid · 07/07/2005 12:06

Dh needs to get to work at tottenham Court Road. I'd rather he stayed at home where he is but he is needed there to sort staff and shop out.

eidsvold · 07/07/2005 12:06

mishmash he says he is leaving g8 within a couple of hours to return to London and find out exactly what has happened....

RTKangaMummy · 07/07/2005 12:06

here is a tube map showing where the explosions have been

he is sending out his thoughts to friends and family of those who have died and r injured, he seems to think its a terrorist attack.

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 12:07

kid, i dont think it would be worth him going in, the trains are cancelled and so are most buses

mishmash · 07/07/2005 12:07

Thats what I thought Enid that it would be to do with G8 - thank god they didn't decide to target any of the concerts

kid · 07/07/2005 12:07

he is looking for a route to walk.

assumedname · 07/07/2005 12:07

I thought Blair looked really emotional, almost close to tears?

beatie · 07/07/2005 12:08

I don't know what to say either. I can't believe that such a thing has really happened... and after all the elation the country managed to sum up yesterday for itself. How sad that we will be united in grief now.

I have to say, I'm finding the BBC TV News quite distressing and have switched to radio. I don't think it's right to show casualties being brought off ambulances as doctors perform CPR on them

RTKangaMummy · 07/07/2005 12:08

here is a news story

Kelly1978 · 07/07/2005 12:08

he mentioned extremists, probably thinking of muslim extremists

Springchicken · 07/07/2005 12:09

DP's cousin in Tottenham but he wont come home.
he has got his car but s'pose it would be a nightmare getting back.

At least he is safe.

whymummy · 07/07/2005 12:09

oh my god,i'm so sorry everyone,i hope you're all safe
xx

FlounceyFlossam · 07/07/2005 12:09

I can't believe they showed footage of someone being resussitated on the news. I think it's disgusting. If they are trying to transport the patient and ressuscitate them they are as good as dead IMO. It shouldn't be on tele. Has made me cry - relatives in hospital don't even see that.

kid · 07/07/2005 12:09

one of the staff won't be able to collect her DD from school. I have offered to get her and keep her here tonight. They have been told by police they may have to book into hotels tonight as there is no way of them travelling to get home. There are people everywhere here, it all seems very scary.

RTKangaMummy · 07/07/2005 12:10

No I agree Beatie

I think that is too much

The poor relatives at home

I think it is ok however to show people walking or standing about cos if you were wanting to see a friend or relative it would be better to see them walking around than not IYSWIM

Can anyone tell me where Alexandra Park and Brittania Village is in regards to the explosions?

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 12:12

the itv news doesnt seem as graphic

lunavix · 07/07/2005 12:12

THey seem to think this might be phase 1 of a bigger plan. First disable london transport and get all the police and emergency crew working hard ...

and then??????????????????????

almostanangel · 07/07/2005 12:13

ohh

mummy23 · 07/07/2005 12:13
