They've just announced on bbc that Vanessa George and two others (one man and one woman) have pleaded guilty to child sexual asalts and distribution of images.

well, her own children are her victims aren't they? Even if they haven't been abused by her, how will they be able to live with the knowledge that their mother is a paedophile.

The internet certainly faciliated the abuse and these three did not know each other directly. It appears the three of them actively encouraged each other and each one is equally culpable.

I hope they each receive at least 20 years without being able to face a parole board in the meantime.

I think as well that not all of the questions surrounding this case and there are many, will ever be fully answered.

Just makes me want to cry for those poor innocent little toddlers. Being taken somewhere to be looked after then being harmed in this way.

The most scary bit about all this is that they'd written down and were interested in a fantasy they had about abducting a child from a railway station so even though it's bad enough, at least they were caught and stopped.

I think it's important not to confuse the three individuals - what they all did was abhorrent, but there is a real risk that rumour and hearsay will escalate this even further.

Having seen first hand as a foster parent, the damage done to babies by adults I too want them locked away for the rest of their lives.

I feel for the families of those poor little ones but also the childen of the perpetraters.

It beggers belief that they managed all this without even meeting each other, and the thing that scares me, and I know this is silly, but she looks so normal.

When I heard this on the news earlier it made me shiver. Seeing my 2 yo DD in the back of my car, so gorgeous & innocent. How the f*ck could anyone do this to such small children?

I guess in some ways it's even harder to understand that it was a woman doing it. And even harder again to understand that the woman is herself a mother of 2 children. It just doesn't compute does it?

lets hope they dont go to one of those 'protected' prisons, instead to somewhere more 'normal' and that prison officers turn a blind eye to whatever is done to them.
