Model with flabby tummy shocks the world

How sad is that? That we are so used to the airbrushed perfection of models that a tiny pic of a normal woman causes such a fuss.

She is 5ft 11in and 12 1/2st and is considered too big to model plus sizes

I think she looks fab. I have a wee tummy just like hers and she has made me feel much better about it.

I'm off to Paris on Monday. I will carry out a MN Perfection Survey and report back!

Well, I am just back from a week in Paris and there are lots of fat people walking the street (and not just tourists).

Also, they do smoke an awful lot. All those yummy mummys running chasing after their toddlers in the playground with fags hanging out of their mouths.

Oh and there are dog poo everywhere. Yikes!

The woman is not overweight- she has a very little roll of fat which looks much healthier than a stick thin competely flat stomach!(I bet she looks a lot more gorgeous than you) Why does everyone except you act positively about this? Please, as one other poster said, never ever have a daughter!!

French women tend to be thin but very unhealthy as they usually smoke heavily to curb appetite.

I'm feeling a bit bad for Anna now, she is entitled to her opinion (however much I think she is wrong), others have said that they wouldn't be happy with a tummy like the model's. Not quite as bluntly, I know.

she is facially attractive, her legs look like they have been pumped up. she does look everweight imo.

It's ok to not want to look like the model.

If people feel more comfortable being thinner it's not a big deal.

You know I'm not happy with my tummy like that ( society has got to me probably) but short of surgery theres not much I can do about it.

I don't look anywhere near as good as the model, so if others think she's fat, what hope is there for me? But I am fit, am eating healthily and my BMI is 25, I really think I shouldn't care a jot what people who have never met me think about my body.

I do care, but am angry with myself for doing so!

i love the obligatory 'here in Paris' Anna always starts with. just as if to point it out cos we don't ALL know she's in Paris. i think i may start every post with 'here inbetween Leeds and Bradford'... just so you all have some idea of the sheer glamour involved in my day to day life loving your work anna

look at hows shes sat-im 5"2 and weigh 6 stone 2.when i sit down i have a little belly!!!im sure if she was standing that belly wouldnt be visable.

she does look older than 20 and it does look like a baby belly but shes still pretty.i wouldnt say chic but shes far sexier than i'll ever be.

i like anna's honesty. i might not always agree but it is good to have someone who does sit on teh fence occassionaly.

Having a quick google the average dress size in france is a uk 12 and on average french women are shorter

The point is no one is happy when they have a tummy like that, mostly because of attitudes like BA's making us feel we should be perfectly proportioned and toned at all times in order to be physically attractive.

Look at painting and art from the last few centuries, beautiful women are depicted as curvaceous, lumpy, bumpy realalistic women... i bet no one has ever looked at Cleopatra, supposedly one of the most beautiful women in history or these ladies and felt fat and inadequate.

Yet in the last century the template for 'perfect beauty' has reduced in size to the point of being unobtainable in any way other than complete starvation and relinquishing of every feature that makes us femine... breasts, hips and arse have been condemned as unattractive and unsightly.

Has it occured to anyone that the majority of the fashion world are women and gay men... and the ideal of fashionable beauty has become more and more boyish and de-feminised, yet the women that attract men who we see in top shelf mags are still curvy, buxom and womanly to behold...........

i think anna is right to say what she thinks.and i think people are saying some pretty harsh things aimed directly at her(dont have a dd!!) and about parisian women in general.
if someone came on saying all women in london were half the stuff some on here have said about parisian women theyd be uproar.
