Model with flabby tummy shocks the world

According to the Daily Mail

How sad is that? That we are so used to the airbrushed perfection of models that a tiny pic of a normal woman causes such a fuss.

She is 5ft 11in and 12 1/2st and is considered too big to model plus sizes

I think she looks fab. I have a wee tummy just like hers and she has made me feel much better about it.

That woman is perfection and actually looks like a real woman!
Too many teenagers and young women are stick thin....too thin, they can't lift anything heavy, have no go in them.
It's better to have a bit of weight, but be under 25BMI, but have proper strenght and endurance.
They need to show more models like her.

I think that it's a really unflattering photo angle, she looks much better in the second shot. In the first she does look like she's had a baby, that soft wobbly look, as she doesn't look overweight anywhere else.

Mamazon · 03/09/2009 10:22

oh fuck off anna.

she's not fat. she's noty even curvey. she's perfectly slim and healthy looking even if she could do with some toning excercises at most.

This is precisely why so many women end up with eating disorders.
and for anyone that claims she looks anything but gorgeous i hope you never have daughters.......or sons for that matter as their view of the female form will be seriously skewed.

thisisnotwhatifancied · 03/09/2009 10:32

MmeLindt I want your doggy!!!!!! Oh and you and your DD are gorgeous too! But I do really love your doggy!

AstronomyDomine · 03/09/2009 10:37

I wish I was as perfect as BonsoirAnna

Mamazon couldn't have put it better myself.

bronze · 03/09/2009 10:39

Definitely looks like excess skin.

I'm the same height, a few pounds lighter and have a similar pouch I cant get rid of since I hade my c section. I've since had another baby and though I'm losing the weight from that the flabby tummy is just not going as it is stretched skin that wont go on its own.
A lot of skinny people get a bump if they sit forward like that. I know I used to when I was 9 stone.

I think she looks fantastic and everyone saying how great she looks has actually helped my confidence

Whoever is going to notice her tummy anyway? Look at her face, she's a beauty.

Good on her.

bronze · 03/09/2009 10:47

she is beautiful isnt she

Scotia · 03/09/2009 10:47

Fat? My arse!

I completely agree with mamazon.

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/09/2009 10:50

My tummy doesn't look too dissimilar to that (face doesn't look the same, mores the pity). Also, when I was a whippet thin size 8, ran all the time and had abs of steel, my tummy was still prominent, partly due too pregnancy, but partly due to the way I am made. Will never have a flat stomach unless I have a tummy tuck, I think a lot of women are the same (excepting all women of Paris, naturellement).

bronze · 03/09/2009 10:52

I loved this comment 'Hey, my wife has had four kids, and a pooch is a badge of honor to me I love all of her, besides she'll still hornswoggle the bejesus our of me better than any scrawny chick ever could- bones are for dogs.

ComeOVeneer · 03/09/2009 10:59

Anna you really are unbeliable sometimes! In fact I don't believe you live in Paris at all, I think you are on another planet somewhere!

morningpaper · 03/09/2009 11:02

lol @ hornswoggle, that is great

Stop being mean to Anna, she is fun. Anyway, she probably lives alone on a sink estate in Bradford with six cats so don't be harsh

Lizzylou · 03/09/2009 11:02

"hornswoggle the bejesus out of me"

What a man!

She is a beautiful girl.

Lizzylou · 03/09/2009 11:03

@ MP

That would be hilarious, can just picture Anna sat in her shellsuit watching Jeremy Kyle and eating pork scratchings

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 03/09/2009 11:09

she's not fat Anna FFS. As for chic, can you have fun if you are obsessing about looks and clothes all the time? Is that why Parisian women have cat bum faces?

Overmydeadbody · 03/09/2009 11:13

I would personally be very upset if my tummy looked like that, but that's just me.

With clothes on she probably looks fine, not someone you'd classify as fat.

Plenty of normal women have worse tummies.

Overmydeadbody · 03/09/2009 11:16

I don't think I would describle her as slim, I would describe her as curvy.

MANATEEequineOHARA · 03/09/2009 11:26

BonsoirAnna There is actually very little unhealthy about fat per se, and especially not a normal women's necessary body fat. (BTW, I consider myslef a fat expert due to my diss on obesity!).

I don't think it even looks like fat, just skin being skin on a toned but not overly toned body.

HerBeatitude · 03/09/2009 11:27

oh god she is not curvy, she is slim.

With a slight belly which only really shows when she is sitting down like that.

Curvy is much fatter than this - if you look at her arms, legs, torso, she is slim.

PinkTulips · 03/09/2009 11:35

When i had a BMI of less than 18 as a teenager, making me clinically undeweight, i still had a roll of tummy just like that when i sat down... it used to drive me nuts and nothing i did could shift it.... in the end i pierced my belly button to pretty it up and said screw it and wore the clothes that showed my tummy anyway

BA, why don't you post up some nude pics of yourself and we can criticise every stretch mark, crease and bit of saggy skin on your body seeing as you're so perfectly formed you apparently have no flaws whatsoever?

No? You're not willing to do so? Well that makes the model in the OP not only more attractive than you and your scrawny countrywomen but also a hell of a lot braver.
