I really don't understand that - please explain how the odd one off is exactly the same risk as a weekly column that will definitely be quoting an MN thread?

There were risks both times but they are not the same - surely that's obvious?

case in point on another thread. great mil set up, OP's goiing on holiday with them after last year a fiasco, lasted one day. mil makes digs etc, it's class war.

so. if there's a film with a mil next week, or a tv prog, or a celeb mentions their mil, or a celeb Mil Dil feud, that'd be the one to pick.

the op, however, would be right up shit creek as her controlling, snobbish, nasty mil sounds like yer average femail reader.

i wanted to say the BBC could save money by converting the cast of eastenders to Islam, ( reflects london life) that way you'd only need about 3 actors in burkas to play all the female roles....would i have been allowed to say that ?

aitch, i have had posts deleted for saying dc should be brought up by a man and a woman, that's why i kept it simple, i only wrote the review because i said to a poster i thought it was easy being a TV critic, she said write a 300 word review then!

I think we are treading water at the moment - HQ have gone rather quiet although that may be because there is only 3 of them there and they are haveing the weekend from hell

Probably not a minority really, once it has calmed down most people will probably go with whatever hq decide and adapt their posting to suit it, I won't of course but then I am proper hard core me

I've come up with the perfect solution.
Every time you post a message you have a selection of tick boxes - a bit like when you sign up for something on t'internet and they ask if they can email you with other stuff, and another box to ask if they can share your info with third parties.

Well, the one where they ask if they can share with third parties - you get a selection of boxes to tick with different newspapers. So, you get to choose if you allow the DM to quote you, or The Times, or all, or none

Knowing that my IL's read The Sun, the NOTW, and my own family read the Mirror and Telegraph, I'd opt out of all of those

I think mn just has a problem with posts being published in the tabloids!! I don't read the Sun but I wouldn't expect to see an article about MN in it. I have ,however, seen articles in the Time, Guardian et al. There's some snobbiness going on here.

I do hate the mail though, far to anti women for me.
