'I think it is right that we keep pointing this out in the hope that posters will be more considerate as this affects real people who might only be one step away.'

By all means, expend your energy and time how you wish.

Have just seen that Goncalao Amaral's book is published in France, where I am going next week, so will pick up a copy - sounds like an interesting and educational read.

ToughDaddy · 28/05/2009 17:27

Expat- yes, i have been making the same basic point repeatedly. This is because, I think that I am basically dealing with reasonable people. For example, I have read some of your past posts and found you to be funny, smart and sparky(even when we disagree) so I do hope that you will take on board our point. Peace sister

izyboy · 28/05/2009 17:31

You are right Nationalflight this thread is absolutely 'pointless' and to use your own phrase 'bullshit'. I know you would rather spend your time 'gossiping' than accept the simple fact that the Mccanns should be 'presumed innocent until proven guilty'. There is not even a court case pending.

Tomarto have a look at longtalljosie's post 27th May 19:06:08. This may clear up any confusions.

MrsGG 'enjoy' your 'educational ' holiday reading !!?

NationalFlight · 28/05/2009 17:34

what is with the quotation marks?

Tamarto · 28/05/2009 17:36

PFFT murrat had no criminal convictions...

'For example, I have read some of your past posts and found you to be funny, smart and sparky(even when we disagree) so I do hope that you will take on board our point. Peace sister'

'Our' point?

You mean you and layman?

I've said time and again: the McCanns were neglectful in the care of their children. That gave a perpetrator, whoever it was, the opportunity needed for the girl to vanish. If they hadn't ditched their young children alone in an apartment to eat out and drink alcohol every night, it's probable they'd not have to be looking for their child.

If they find that hurtful to read, I can't say I'm bothered.

izyboy · 28/05/2009 17:42

Which of the quotation marks bother you Natflight? When not gossiping you seem to be Mumsnet's self appointed spell checker and grammar guru.

ToughDaddy · 28/05/2009 17:49

Expat- ofcourse they made a mistake but that isn't an excuse for being insensitive. DO you think that that doesn't haunt them everyday. Why do you need to kick them?

expatinscotland · 28/05/2009 17:52

In your opinion it's insensitive.

In mine, it's just the truth.

My opinion is that a mistake is when you take your eye off the ball for a moment and what they did was not a mistake, but neglect.

Horses for courses.

(TO ib BTW)

noddyholder · 28/05/2009 18:09

NF we need you some of the spelling is appalling!

izyboy · 28/05/2009 18:16

Well at least it will stop you gossiping NF!!!

NationalFlight · 28/05/2009 18:21

?

izyboy · 28/05/2009 18:24

Still playing dumb NF lol

NationalFlight · 28/05/2009 18:33

lol

noddyholder · 28/05/2009 18:34
Hmm
izyboy · 28/05/2009 18:35

I see you agree.

noddyholder · 28/05/2009 18:37

Izyboy you are mighty interested in hanging around this thread considering you find us all to be idle gossips. And pretty rude for someone so concerned about the feelings of others

izyboy · 28/05/2009 18:47

Well I will continue to point out that people should be considered innocent until proven guilty, when and where I feel it is appropriate on this thread. Other than that, I have little interest in the 'gossip'.

To clarify, I have not been accusing people of being 'snidey' or name calling. It seems to be your stock response Nholder to call people 'rude' when they dont agree with you.

NationalFlight · 28/05/2009 18:49

'lol'

oh and 'hmm'

Fancy a swift half Noddy?

noddyholder · 28/05/2009 18:52

it does doesn't it i better do something about that!

Rhubarb · 28/05/2009 18:52

Erm, I'm sorry but have I missed something expat and noddy? Since when did I become your public enemy number 1? Last time I looked this was a debate and I entered into that debate. I haven't said anything personal to either of you. Give me an example of 'sticking the knife in' please.

Are you so threatened by me that you have to resort to this? I should be flattered, of course I am! But I've obviously rattled your cages, pity because I've no intention of stopping any debate I happen to be on and I'm more than capable of defending my opinions. So bring it on girls!
