I know there was loads of speculation about this at the time

Anyone feel sorry for the baby in all of this?

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/03/2009 10:20

FAQ of course she may have known what she was doing having sex with all these boys, but what was her mother doing about it? She clearly knew about it. She should have been protecting her, or at the very least ensuring she was having safe i.e. using condoms and taking her pill responsibly.

And was the girl old enough and responsible enough to undrestand the complications of selling the story and lying about the father? I doubt it, yet the mother actively encouraged it.

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:22

think everyone feels sorry for the little baby.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 26/03/2009 10:23

It's a very sorry situation for everyone concerned.

I really hope that ss step in and make a bad situation have as good an outcome as possible

mollyroger · 26/03/2009 10:23

Poor wee bairns.
What a hideous loss of innocence for Alfie too. In all senses of the word.
Will he ever be able to trust anyone ever again?

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:23

does anyone know if any of the other lads are taking dna tests?....or have they ran for the hills?

there was supposed to be a news blackout surrounding this case, why have the papers been allowed to print it?

wasabipeanut · 26/03/2009 10:27

A news blackout? Lol.

Bit bloody late for that.

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:28

fio-fio . the amount of children alfie's dad has is irrelvent...each one could have been planned and much wanted... i hate the assumption that f you have a large amount of kids you must be irresponsable, ....re max clifford.... he's a vile, moneygrabbing leach.

nancy75 · 26/03/2009 10:29

social services went to court after it came out and a court ruled the dna results and any further stories about these kids should not be printed.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 26/03/2009 10:32

Realy, that's pretty shocking. Surely The Mirror will be in deep shit for this?

nancy75 · 26/03/2009 10:33

unless courts have lifted the ban, i would guess they are in contempt of court, no expert so not sure.

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:34

will it though, because it isnt abot the "kids" as such, just that the dna came back negative. doesnt have any details on hats happening with them now...perhaps the mirror will get away with it!

cherryblossoms · 26/03/2009 10:35

I wonder about the Max Clifford thing, though. As he says, he inherited the story, after it had broken, after person/s in the family/families had sold it.

Partly because of that court action, but also partly because of Mr Clifford, the story did go quite quiet.

I think we'll have to wait and see how this plays out. I wonder who's sold the story to The Mirror? Is it the hand of Max, or what?

The whole thing is incredibly, incredibly depressing.

TheCrackFox · 26/03/2009 10:35

Alfie has had a lucky escape. He can go back to his childhood now.

TheJester · 26/03/2009 10:36

If a 14 yr old is having loads of meaningless sex I feel sorry for him/her. #That's bound to be looking for somehting that is missing. Whether that's love, boundaries, direction, example, a role model.... so I definitely feel sorry for Charlotte too. As a pp said, Alfie can pretty much walk away now. And, after he HAS gone through puberty he will look different.

as they have printed this the court may have overturned the order, if so there will be more stories to come.
