According to her biography she pooed her pants during the Athens marathon because some anti-inflammatories she was taking were irritating her gut and she felt doing it might make her feel better. FWIW I don't think it was a huge amount! According to yesterday's Times it was white because it was her undigested porridge from that morning. I am sorry for the gory details... but you did ask!

do not read my previous thread if squeamish about bodily functions - or about to eat dinner -mainly for donnie's benefit! Also she had NEVER done it before, she says it was bec. she was poorly.

Fair enough I say. She's at the peak of her 'job' why shouldn't she postpone motherhood if that's what she wants to do. Many other women put their careers before kids, don't really see any difference.
I think she stopped today to empty her bladder. She clearly squatted and moved her shorts to one side before she got up again.
Well done Paula!

btw Paula has never failed to attend or failed any drugs test, random or otherwise, and remains one of the severest critics of all drug taking in major sport.

thanks bearess, although I'm beginning to wish I hadn't asked!

pmsl at the thought of Marthmoo breaking records when running for a pee while pregnant!

I like Simon Barnes' column in The Times today and it sort of sums up what I'm thinking about PR - it's not the way I'd chose to live my life (although I do run a lot), but her racing inspires me and provides great entertainment.

If she wants to put off having children then that's her decision and she'll have to live with any consequences. It's not really my place to judge her.

Why so many bitchy comments? I don't get this thread.

pootlepod · 18/04/2005 21:52

Perhaps we should e-mail her about the wonders of cloth nappies?

Cam · 18/04/2005 22:28

This is the most hysterically funny thread ever
