Well i don't think any of the CBeebies presenters are that great, but i'm not the age group they're aimed at.

DD3 hasn't noticed. heck, I didn't even notice the first three times i saw her!

DD, 3, is entranced by her. She is rather girly and for some reason makes a connection between length of sleeve and princess-perfection. Constant battles over whether short-sleeves are sleet-appropriate, etc.

Hence Cerrie, with her signature 3/4 length sleeve (yes, I'm afraid dd is well aware of this style concept) is infinitely preferable to the other, long-sleeved nobodies.

I think it's brilliant that CBeebies is gently addressing the "issue" of disability by presenting it to young children in the normal course of things without making a big deal about it. I like Something Special for the same reason. That is absolutely the right approach, as youngster's brains are sponges which will soak this up and when they're older they won't give it a second thought. A big thumbs up for CBeebies.

I didn't notice the first few times I saw her either, and now that I have it doesn't bother me. DS either hasn't noticed or doesn't think it's worth mentioning. I agree with Aitch about her singing though.
