Doesnt this sort of stink of hypercritism? when she said I wont comment until I speak to my 'agent' - was what she meant - I could make some money out of this - I know if every time I speak I have The Sun logo above my head I will bask in the glory?

Isnt talking about how rubbish RB is in bed stooping to the very level that we are accusing RB of? Will RBs granfather not have to read this article and will they not be upset? Sachs has been very dignified about the whole inccident though it has to be said.

Oh do stop calling it a kiss and tell just to smear her further. A kiss and tell is a story in a newspaper in which someone reveals a sexual relationship against the will of the person with whom they had sex, and reveals the details.
I think we can safely say the kiss and tell was done by RB on air, abetted by his sleazy mate. What Georgina has done is commented on what he did to her. I am so at the suggestion that they can say what they like and it's just naughty boys and their hormones, yet she should be quiet, like a good girl.

I didn't say she should make the response in person. I said (yesterday) that I thought that RB and JR had made the mistake of dishing out to her grandfather the sort of peurile 'humour' they might have said to her in person (not the same words of course- but the tone). That they had got utterly carried away (and of course they were completely inappropriate).

I think if she'd kept quiet then it would have backed up the claim that she didn't want to be thrust into the limelight and would have supported her grandfathers swish that he wanted it to go away. More powerful (imo) than now knowing that RB was crap in bed - the 3 times that they had sex- and pretended to be Manuel whilst shagging her. I didn't want to know that.

I am going now because I can see the things I say will be twisted into something I am not saying. I think the 'joke' was misplaced and utterly inappropriate. I think they should be reprimanded. I think the response to it all utterly OTT. That's it.

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 16:30

OH do stop telling me what I can and can't call it. I am not Smearing her. Read my other posts and you'll see what I mean.

Dittany - if you hate it so much that he made it so public to so many people then surely you can see that it is hypocritical to respond in kind?

It's the fact that she gave several interviews/statements in which she laboured the 'my poor grandad' and suggested they should be sacked for their behaviour which is odd. I would have thought that as this was her main concern in the interviews she gave, that she would not now be giving extra detail about the 'relationship' to the press.

Wonder if this thread will make it to 1000?? Its already up 181 . . . .

izyboy · 30/10/2008 16:33

Have to say it doesn't really bother me that she has 'replied' it is kinda what I would have expected. I think it is what it is - a puerile 'joke' - misjudged. Probably shouldnt have been aired but really not worth the column inches or news coverage. I still think Ms Bailey will see the ticket sales of her Satanic Sluts tour soar as a result!

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 16:35

clicky

izyboy · 30/10/2008 16:38

As I said before it is the 'poor OLD grandad' bit that wouldhave got me pissed if I was Andrew S.

I have said I think that Brand and Ross were out of order, although I feel that this was just purile stuff which got out of hand. I am disapproving of both, for different reasons.

As I say. Looking forward very much to the News of the World this weekend. I will be disappointed if she doesn't deliver.

ditanny I dont think beanies posts sound like that. I see her posts as suggesting it is a bit of a 'rum do' all around with no one behaving particularly well.

Week.

My condemnation is directed at the producers for allowing the phonecalls to be broadcast, the 30,000 idiots who listened to a broadcast they knew would offend them, the Sunday Mail and the person who spend tays bleating on about the upset being caused to her grandfather and then went on to discuss it in the tabloids.

Sorry we don't share the same view.

I have not ever said "Boys will be boys, now let's get that bitch" and I am sorry that you believe it sounds like I did. I suggest that this may be your problem for interpreting it like that.

Perhaps you could direct me to those posts where I have implied that 'boys will be boys' while discussing the Ross.Brand situation, just to back up your assumptions properly!

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 16:59

Although I completely understand if you don't have the time, what with your crusade agains misogyny, men and porn taking up so much of your time

Beanie, I think your heroes would not thank you for keeping these threads bumped up. Lots of people will have learned more about their phone calls thanks to your efforts. You may even have contributed to the number of complaints

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 17:08

Dittany - what you said was "your condemnation regarding this whole event has been directed firstly at the people who were offended by their behaviour and secondly at Baillie when she chose to stick up for herself." I was merely pointing out to you that your statement was incorrect.

Yes - I think the 30,000 people who complained after listening to a broadcast they knew would offend are stupid and I have consistantly said so. I have also said that the buck stops with the Producers not with Brand and Ross. I have said that I think what they said was out of order also.

Since the apologies have been made I have been discussing Geogina Baillies subsequent actions - Have you read the thread title?

izyboy · 30/10/2008 17:08

Beanie are they your 'heros?' I nver knew!

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 17:11

They are not my heoroes UPwind, whatever gave you that idea. Perhaps whoever you mean will be thinking the same about your bumping of this post.

Woops - did it again!

let's not get personal now ladies - remember the sisterhood!

izyboy · 30/10/2008 17:12

I am not taking sides but I dont thik beabie appears to be supporting JR and RB at the expense of GB. I usually think that Dittany is pretty fair in her comments just not on this thread.

beaniescreamyb · 30/10/2008 17:12

Actually - I am defending the BBC mostly, oh and having a go at the Mail which though easy is always fun!
