Doesnt this sort of stink of hypercritism? when she said I wont comment until I speak to my 'agent' - was what she meant - I could make some money out of this - I know if every time I speak I have The Sun logo above my head I will bask in the glory?

Isnt talking about how rubbish RB is in bed stooping to the very level that we are accusing RB of? Will RBs granfather not have to read this article and will they not be upset? Sachs has been very dignified about the whole inccident though it has to be said.

oooh did he fuck her brains out. how salacious of whoever said that.

mabanana · 30/10/2008 23:12

oh ffs, so RB & JR can say what they like, but suddenly Andrew Sachs is a racist and Georgina is a porn star, so they are totally fair game?
Just slur after slur.
There is not the remotest shred of evidence that Andrew Sachs is a racist.

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 30/10/2008 23:12

"He is 78. Of course he doesn't listen to Russell Brand at dead of night!"

eh? How do you know? I'm have a confession. I'm 37 and like Dawson's Creek.

Heathcliffscathy · 30/10/2008 23:13

brick wallls....anyone for brick walls, 2 for a pound. get em here.

morningpaper · 30/10/2008 23:13

He is 78. Of course he doesn't listen to Russell Brand at dead of night!

He WAS appearing on the show the following week

do you think neither he not his publicist knew anything about it? And after asking for it to be 'toned down' he wasn't interested to listen?

IorekMandelson · 30/10/2008 23:13

I am not a fan of Jonathan Ross. He is nothing but a potty-mouthed Terry Wogan mini-me. He seems to be getting off remarkably lightly compared to Russell Brand.

mabanana · 30/10/2008 23:13

No, I didn't make it up. Russell Brand was on Chris Moyles show smirkingly saying 'yeah I met her. I met her brains out' and giggling. SO funny. So edgy.

morningpaper · 30/10/2008 23:14

He said IIRC that he asked for it to be toned down and he'd rather re-record it, they said "We'll see what we can do" and he said "OK" and that's it

mabanana · 30/10/2008 23:15

I'll tell you something. I sometimes appear on the radio. SOmetimes I record something. And guess what, I don't listen to it. I certainly wouldn't stay up for it. Doesn't mean I am 'fair game'.

"I'm certainly not having a go at Georgina Baillie. I am having a go at the media that has whipped up this frenzy of hatred for no very good reason."
freakin eck Iorek, really? are you IorekByrnison?

morningpaper · 30/10/2008 23:15

I'm really quite happy with all the people who have fucked my brains out TBH, and I don't mind who they tell, and in what medium

Why is that part SO BAD?

(unless there was actually removal of her cranium)

Thomcat · 30/10/2008 23:15

I'm sorry but the bloody controller of Radio 2 has resigned over this. It was a mad, stupid moment, a silly mad thing to do. They should have been wrist slapped, suspended without pay, fined, whatever, but should it really be this big. Over a stupid, thoughtless 5 minutes, really, should it really have come down to the controller walking? Something which at eh time, 2 people heard and complained about?

Heathcliffscathy · 30/10/2008 23:16

so his SEVENTY EIGHT year old self didn't slump against the wall hand on heart sobbing 'no, don't do it to my poor granddaughter, i can't take it' then?

how weird!

I bet his medals were rattling with fury

Heathcliffscathy · 30/10/2008 23:17

mabanana you are victoria derbyshire!!!

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 30/10/2008 23:17

I always listen to myself on the radio. Usually cringing.

morningpaper · 30/10/2008 23:17

no no not Derbyshire

She is my Nemesis

mabanana · 30/10/2008 23:17

You know, I don't think there is anything shameful about having a little respect for people who are old, who were brought up with different humour, different mores, ludicrous as that may seem to some.

Heathcliffscathy · 30/10/2008 23:18

no no no mp, fury doesn't fit. SEVENTY EIGHT year olds aren't furious. they are harrassed and bullied and definitely victims and woe is them. ok?

Heathcliffscathy · 30/10/2008 23:19

you see mabanana in my book respect and pity are not the same thing at all.

respect meaning: oh look, he wasn't very bothered about it, he didn't make any kind of formal complaint, must mean that he knows it isn't distressing him very much them. oh well, i guess that means it didn't.

that is respect.

mabanana · 30/10/2008 23:19

I think Andrew Sachs has shown extraordinary dignity, kindness and grace in all this. It makes me sad to see him being sneered at here, as well as by JR and RB.
