I haven't even looked at it lately, bundle - I only read this one because the headline was about Bristol so I wondered what they'd got.

In terms of intelligent comment I thought Jon Stewart's was a neat counter to Fox's!

LewisFan - I don't think Sarah Palin has made a big deal about having a Down Syndrome baby, I think the media has made a big deal out of it.

She wants to start banning books...

Here is the list of books she tried to have banned.

!, not ?, obviously

Hmm, on further reading it turns out there is some doubt over the veracity of the list of books. But not that she did try to get certain books banned.

On the bright side, if she does get elected she'll provide us all with years of amusement

Whoa, that was some list, even if not real.

I can't stand her and really fear the McCain/Palin ticket winning. I don't think speaking against her has anything to do with feminism or misogyny. Here's a great op-ed about her from Gloria Steinem:

Wrong Woman, Wrong Message

Have any of you read the looooong post The Truth about Sarah Palin on MegB's first link, from someone called Anne who lives in Wasilla (the town where SP was Mayor) and campaigned against her attempts to sack the Chief Librarian for refusing to ban the books she wanted banning?

It is quite chilling. I bet John McCain won't dare to cross her now she's on board.

Given her world view, I understand her problem with Decameron and Lord of the Flies, but why try to get Brave New World banned? I don't get it.
