Has anyone commented on the David Cameron-speech on moral neutrality? He is a price-dick, isn't he?

Custardo - an excellent post and you have the authority to say it. You're one remarkable person who proves that change CAN happen if you really really want it and are prepared to put in the effort.

thehappyprince · 11/07/2008 17:01

Custardo, it looks like you've fought really hard to get to where you are and good on you for that, you're obviously a truly resilient person and were able to turn obstacles into challenges. However, I don't think you can then generalise that everyone should be able to do the same, perhaps what you lacked in opportunity you gained in personal resilience, others may have very different make ups and indeed circumstances.

Why does it have to be one exstream or another? This always happens on mn.

You are either really rich, born into a privaliged family and gone to a posh school.

Or

You are really poor, scrape by on nothing, work in a poorly paid, shit job and have no education.

There is a middle ground.

I am neither rich nor poor. I don't live in a big house, have a big pay check nor did i go to private school. But i can afford to have a mobile phone, use the internet and buy nice food.

Just because i don't scrape by or concider myself poor, that doesn't make me rich. I can't afford to blow loads of money on nice things every week but i can afford certain things that would be classed as luxuries.
