Why are they all shouting "Shame on You" towards the police - when it was the RNLI who brought them all to shore?

Surly they should be shouting this towards the lifeboat crews....?

I think the only legal action may well be against Robinson.

And it wouldn't be the first time

Again, I can't understand why people so obsessed with predicting criminality in the Muslim population pay so little attention to the background of their leaders.

Stephen Lennon, aka Tommy Robinson

Tommy Robinson, former EDL leader, jailed for fraud

Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Lennon, is jailed over a £160,000 mortgage fraud.

How many murderers/rapists/drug dealers/violent thugs are we importing and dropping into our communities every day?
We dont know because nobody is checking out exactly who they are......

Isn't that why they are wearing balaclavas?

I'd read about the mortgage fraud before but hadn't realised it was an organised scam or for such a huge amount of money

So your argument is with what happens to them once they have been picked up by UK Border Force. That is beyond the RNLI's remit.

Meanwhile, the people leading these actions are (judging them on their criminal record and background in football hooliganism) definitely violent thugs.

ShitHoleDweller · 10/09/2026 10:48

Thugs who have the ability to rabble rouse because many of them are self employed or have criminal histories so aren’t worried about getting arrested.

What none of you progressives understand is there is a huge swell of anger from ordinary people and those people are happy that these lot are making a political stance as otherwise we are all just a nation of passive, apathetic moaners. I suspect there will be a point where the marches will be huge, probably around the time that the weekly food bill is 80% of take home pay and no one can afford to heat their homes, but for the moment these thugs are just shouting stuff that a lot of ordinary folk think.

Condemnation of the thugs has come from across the political spectrum. Even Farage. Is he a "progressive"?

Notonthestairs · 10/09/2026 10:54

Robinson has used 5 different alias! Each time to cover up past convictions.

hedgeknight · 10/09/2026 10:54

High food bills and energy prices have nothing to do with small boat arrivals.

I'd like to think ordinary people are not stupid enough to fall for that nonsense.

Farage has been publicly threatened by Tommo for his criticism of the thugs

All mainstream political parties will condemn organised, balaclava wearing men protesting on the streets. My post said ordinary people and nothing about politicians.

Then you are not meeting people from all walks of life and are just existing in your echo chamber.

Whereas I think 'ordinary folk' are more intelligent than to support people who attack RNLI crews.

So you are saying the majority of ordinary people are so ill-informed they think the small boat crossings affect food and utility prices?

You can't possibly know that

For example I have family [and their friends] who are sympathetic to a bit of shouting at hotels but are totally against the balaclava'd thugs and are smart enough not to make any false link with COL

Suspect that it is more likely you who are living in an echo-chamber of hate

Right though to assume I don't live in a Reform echo chamber.

🤣. A bit of shouting outside hotels just made me laugh. Yes. What’s the harm in that? One rarely leads to the other.

Although I suspect the whole 'defund the RNLI' thing has increased RNLI donations.
