Well, I know that, MT, and they even vary by state in the US. In many states in the US, the age of consent is adjusted so that sex between a male/female who are within 2 years of age difference aren't prosecuted for statutory rape.

But Miley is well below her state of residence's age.

I agree with MT, I think it is stretching it (dangerously so) to describe this as paedophilia.
