SlartyBartFast · 13/04/2008 22:00

Sad
thekidsslave · 13/04/2008 22:29

that is so very sad

edam · 13/04/2008 23:08

Xenia, maybe he was being considerate towards his girlfriend's mother - not wanting her to be the one who found his body?

biglips · 13/04/2008 23:10

oh no!...

i was reading about him today in the papers and was a possibility that he had committed suicide as he feels like part of him died

he did look dreadful too

god bless him

paddingtonbear1 · 13/04/2008 23:19

this is very sad.
when dh and I heard he'd been reported missing, we had a bad feeling about it.
he was a good presenter and seemed a really nice bloke.

expatinscotland · 14/04/2008 00:11

Being suicidal is the loneliest feeling in all the world. I just hope however he chose to leave this life, that it was very quick.

oiFoiF · 14/04/2008 07:48

I cant help feeling the media's handling of the whole thing was so destructive to the poor bloke and family aswell. They really do know how to kick people when they are down

It would be nice to thinka lesson would be learnt by them for this, but I very much doubt it

It is just a complete waste

moyasmum · 14/04/2008 08:05

I really like this guy, got the feeling that he was" one of the good guys" iykwim.

Respect his decision, but really wish he could have found someone/thing that would have turned him around. The world is a colder place without the likes of him.

Sorry for him ,sorry for his family.

castille · 14/04/2008 08:11

What a tragic story. He seemed like such a great guy, and with such talent.

Ledodgy · 14/04/2008 08:24

So very, very sad.

Disenchanted · 14/04/2008 08:27

What a terrible waste.

ladytophamhatt · 14/04/2008 08:46

Oh no.....

PersonalClown · 14/04/2008 08:48

May they be together again and at peace.

R.I.P.

2sugars · 14/04/2008 08:48

Today's Telegraph says he was found hanged

fedupandisolated · 14/04/2008 08:49

Police are treating it as "unexplained" though so would they have said that if he had hanged himself.

Poor man - so sad.

trulymadlydeeply · 14/04/2008 09:11

Agree with all the posters. It feels almost like a personal loss; I can't stop thinking about it and what a tragic waste it is. Hope they've found each other again.

Tigerschick · 14/04/2008 09:12

Today's Times says that "Police refused to confirm reports that he had been found hanged."
Either way it's terribly sad.

YeahBut · 14/04/2008 09:23

My dds were very quiet after hearing the news on morning newsround. They really enjoyed his stuff on cbeebies and cbbc.
Such a and tragic series of events for all concerned.

BBJ · 14/04/2008 09:30

RIP Mark, and his fiance Natasha.

I thought he was a natural w/ kids in front of the camera. My kids loved him on Smarteenies and so did I (was one of the few shows I didn't mind sitting through and watching with them!)

Didn't know the bloke at all and can't help but wonder if the BBC gave him all the support he needed? Yes, drugs are bad - but once you're addicted, you need help and support (not that I'm speaking from experience).

Or perhaps no amount of support could have stopped him.

I'll remember him as a young at heart bloke who made my kids smile.

A tragic loss. So sad.
