I actually like Russel brand . And I don't think he's ever hidden what he used to be in his heyday. He's always been very open about his drug use, and promiscuity.

I read his first book . I watch his videos on fb , and while I don't always agree with him, he seems to have totally overhauled his lifestyle, attitudes, is into yoga, self care, seems to be a decent husband and father .

Is this newsworthy ? Young famous comedian in heyday slept with lots and lots of women , consensually he says ?

Hes never hidden it.

On drug misuse I alWays had time for his views that it should be dealt with as a medical issue not a criminal one

What's the news story ?
I always feel like there is much glee and salivating before the media try and knock someone down.
I don't think this is a huw edwards where people would be shocked at him trying to pick up young women behind his wife's back

It seems that brand has settled down , lives a fairly mundane lifestyle and is happy with his choices .

Or am I completely missing something?

Obvs it's in the alleged victims interest in which case it should be investigated by the Police. But a 3 year investigation by a current affairs programme? Why?

The establishment don’t give a shit about Russell Brand. He’s a promiscuous, poetry talking, ex drug user who can now add rapist to that list. He wasn’t credible before and he isn’t now.

But he really isn't that important. He's an ex comedian who gets ice baths and loves his dog . Really not that radical .

Yes. The establishment have no answers. And soon everyone will know that and someone will rise from the sidelines and swoop in. Probably not RB, but someone will when the mainstream politicians don’t offer solutions.

I really hope this thread doesn't get deleted as if tonight's doc presents some incredible evidence and if he is clearly a racist, I'll be interested in what all the outraged deniers on here will say. Nothing I suspect. People are not great at admitting their failings.

@GreekDogRescue and @Palmasailor jfc Brand had kept a lid on these allegations for years using legal threats and connections in the industry to block people’s employment whilst raking in a fortune. Kathryn Ryan and others spoke out alluding to these allegations and were clearly told or scared into shutting up.

The man is the epitome of ‘establishment’ ffs.
