She was only 73. Huge part of my teen years. So sad.

Im really sad to hear this. I really admired her, she always came across as so lovely and down to earth. I’m guessing it was secondary breast cancer.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 08/08/2022 20:33

Oh that's sad. She was both lovely and talented.

Pollianne · 08/08/2022 20:33

Just read her official page 💔 so sad she’s gone

Libre55 · 08/08/2022 20:33

I remember buying her single ‘Sam’ with my 10th birthday money.

Oh wow. Bless her. RIP

I can remember her being on television with Harry Seafombe. Think at one time she was engaged to one of the Shadows - Bruce Welsh?
She always seemed a genuinely nice, friendly person.

LadyEloise1 · 08/08/2022 20:41

Just on Sky News.
Beautiful woman. May she rest in peace.

Soubriquet · 08/08/2022 20:42

I remember when she did a cameo in Glee and redid the physical video with Jane Lynch Grin

Do you mind me asking why this was posted in AIBU?

Also Judith Durham. Both beautiful women with lovely voices.

I'm beginning to understand why my mum was always talking about who had died!

I am so upset. Grease is my favourite film of all time.

Snazzysausage · 08/08/2022 20:46

Very sad news. She always seemed a really nice lady and talented too.

Touchmybum · 08/08/2022 20:50

So very sad, gutted to hear it. She'd had cancer several times - just read she'd been living with it for 30 years.

plinkplinkfizzer · 08/08/2022 20:51

Heard this just now on Radio 2 and it genuinely brought a tear to my eye (and I never cry dammit!). Am so sad that her long long battle with that fucker of a disease is finally over.

Creepymanonagoatfarm · 08/08/2022 20:54

Watching Grease every morning at a friend's house before school was the best bit of those school years!

MrsDThomas · 08/08/2022 20:55
