She was only 73. Huge part of my teen years. So sad.

Im really sad to hear this. I really admired her, she always came across as so lovely and down to earth. I’m guessing it was secondary breast cancer.

Heard this just now on Radio 2 and it genuinely brought a tear to my eye (and I never cry dammit!). Am so sad that her long long battle with that fucker of a disease is finally over.

Watching Grease every morning at a friend's house before school was the best bit of those school years!
