Havent read this yet, but the front page of the papers made me sad to see her like that.

what is going on.

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2008 20:15

Poor girl.
Kevin Federline must have been drinking and taking drugs to the extent she was, god knows why he has not been judged in the same way.

Can only imagine without her children she'll be suffering a lot which will only make her behaviour worse.
Someone needs to help her, properly, take her out of the spotlight.

Kimi · 05/01/2008 20:28

I said to DH1 today when is someone going to do something to help this poor woman, what the hell is her own mother doing.

Ok she has made mistakes and yes a lot of it is her own doing, but for Pete's sake she is on a downward spiral and she needs some help. She also needs to hear the truth not be surrounded by butt kissing yes men.

She is going to lose her children at this rate and I don't think their father is any better role model for them he is just better at the public face (this is a man who dumped 2 children one unborn to be with her (meal ticket) in the first place.

Yes she has made a mint and she is talented but she is still seen as poor white trash by a lot of people, and now she is acting like it.

Someone must love her enough, not her money not her fame but her the person to stand up and say enough.
She is going to be another tragic young waste of life at this rate.

I think that locking her up and getting her some help is the best think for her at the moment.

Poor poor woman.

Nice to see a bit of sympathy rather than prurient rubbernecking. Britney and Amy Winehouse are in a similar boat, having breakdowns in front of the paparrazzi and it is not a pretty sight. Let's hope they get the help they need and soon.

Scum, absolute scum, the paps. I'd like to fire water cannon at the lot of them. Shall we hide outside Amy's and do just that???

wannaBe · 05/01/2008 21:09

There was a journalist on 5 live this morning saying that the whole Britney thing was set up because she?s jealous of the attention her sister has been getting over the past week. Except it?s all gone wrong and she?s now lost her kids, even her visitation rights have been removed. Imo Britney represents all the reasons why it?s so wrong for such young people to be allowed to go into showbiz. The younger they are, the less they?re able to handle it, and ultimately most go off the rails.

Have little sympathy with Amy Weinhouse though tbh. She?s openly had a drug problem now for the past year or so, fine if she?d disappeared out of the spotlight to seak help, but she?s been doing gigs, singing a few lines and then walking off, while the fans are still expected to pay 40 quid for tickets, has been seen popping pills on stage/walking off stage and coming back rubbing her nose, to me that?s just flaunting the fact she?s a junky.

Why is everyone (nearly everyone, anyway) so sure that Kevin Federline is SUCH bad news as a parent. I am aware of the business with the ex-gf but surely there must be more evidence for the "pondscum" epithet and for some of the more colourful accusations that have been made against him in this thread?

I tend to agree that Britney is unwell, possibly suffering from PND and so deserves compassion and support rather than derision and exposure. I do hope that everyone who can do something about it, including Britney herself, is trying their utmost to help her so that those little boys can see their mum again.

jenk1 · 05/01/2008 21:35

she,s out of hospital and has been visited by Dr Phil, apparantely she,s going on his show.

here

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 05/01/2008 21:38

so even her doctor is exploiting her (if true)

joedar · 05/01/2008 23:07

Cheers Paula!!

Its tough at the bottom and I do have compassion for her but I think tough love is the anwser. I think while people are letting us stay in the same mind frame and comfort zone, they are preventing us from growing. Sometimes we need a push out there, so we can seperate from the influences of thoose who love us (but influence us to our detriment) and becomes ourselves.

I think it has reached breaking point for her now so things will have to change. Maybe this is her way of saying "enough is enough I am ready to help myself now" instead of just living on in a haze of partying and being unhappy deep down.

notnowbernard · 06/01/2008 11:05

'Hopefully' she has reached her Rock Bottom now.

It's almost like she needs to lose her kids to make her face up to the consequences of her lifestyle, behaviour, illness, call it what you will.

Then the only way is up for her. Hopefully.

jenk1 · 06/01/2008 14:17

now tmz are saying that britneys mum and dad arranged for dr phil to visit her in hospital, her mum and dad are going on his show this week.

thats just awful how to exploite your child who is seriously mentally ill.

here

ruty · 06/01/2008 20:02

that is so depressing. How the hell did the hospital allow a TV doctor in there in the first place.
