Joedar, don't be so hard on yourself! Yours is truly a Happy Ending

Agree, the people who care for and love Britney need to give her a therapeutic kick up the arse. I also, however, think they need big kicks to their arses.

joedar · 04/01/2008 20:12

Could not agree more!!! I feel very luvky to have woken up from my nightmare and share life wiht my family!!

southeastastra · 04/01/2008 20:13

i realy feel sorry for her and agree with artichokes.

Jazzicatz · 04/01/2008 20:14

I feel so sorry for her - there but for the grace of god go I me thinks! She needs to be taken out of the spotlight and given the chance to heal without the macabre press salivating everytime she falls!

joedar · 04/01/2008 20:23

But how does one take themselves out of the spotlight when they have spent many years putting themsleves in the spotlight??

ScruffyTeddy · 04/01/2008 20:27

I feel for her. All we know about her is what we've heard in the press.

Her husband apparently was a shit to her, partied away all the time she was pg (in both cases), spent her money and did little else. It was HUGE news at the time. Has anyone ever seen a picture of him taking those children out anywhere?

She was begged to divorce him, finally did and then fell apart, as many do im sure just not normally in public. yet has anyone ever had any sympathy for her? No, have they hell.

Now he's the perfect parent and we never hear a bad word about him. This was the guy who left his pg gf for another woman who was naive enough to have him and crapped on that one too, from a great height.

She's little more than a child herself, has never had a "normal" life and the paps wont leave her alone to heal. ffs, they were taking photos through the back of the ambulance. Im not surprised she's lost it.

She doesn't live a normal life. She's had two children and is probably about a UK size 12, has to constantly see herself being called "fat" because she is no longer up to the very high, unrealistic standards.

What a life to live. Its ok saying she brought it on herself and if you are famous you should expect this kind of attention. But she was famous at 16. At 16 would anyone really think seriously about unwanted media attention and how it could affect their future? I doubt it. At 16, would any of us have turned down the chance to be famous? Would we have considered the consequences?

I do hope that people could leave her alone for a while to get herself together but its not really going to happen . Poor girl.

Jazzicatz · 04/01/2008 20:28

Yes but how much of that is wanted! I am not sure this poor womean is of sound mind to make any decisions - those around her should be protecting her.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 04/01/2008 20:30

I am the same age as her with kids born the same months/years.
I personally think she is suffering severe PND following the birth of her second babe.
If she is, I really feel for her as i have been there, but mine was after Ds1.

notnowbernard · 04/01/2008 20:30

It is a bit of a shite reflection of modern society really.

southeastastra · 04/01/2008 20:30

so true scruffy and she was 'famous' or at least pushed into the limelight when she was about 6!

PeachyHasAFiggyPudInTheOven · 04/01/2008 20:32

I ahev a lot of sympathy for her- mental illness is a horrible thing

her sister's life doesn't exactly seem to be taking a different path either which is really sad

My thoughts are very much with her and her children right now

notnowbernard · 04/01/2008 20:32

I think she is primarily an addict.

She might have other mental health issues, but is a bit difficult to tell as she is caned all the time.

LazyLinePainterJane · 04/01/2008 20:34

But this is the woman who allegedly changes clothes 3 times a day to give the paps more varied photos and to get herself in the magazines more...

ScruffyTeddy · 04/01/2008 20:37

Allegedly...From whom though? The gossip mags?

southeastastra · 04/01/2008 20:43

she should just be left alone by the press.

give her a few years and she'll get it together, in the spotlight or not.

she's still a child herself.

LazyLinePainterJane · 04/01/2008 20:46

see.....as soon as I wrote that I thought "I can't remember where I read that..." . Though not from the gossip mags because I don't read them. I thought it was from the Guardian piece on the celeb paps and about image, they were talking about how someone like Madonna is hardly ever papped these days because she plays the game and is always seen out wearing the same black tracksuit with messy hair and reduces her picture value to nothing. And then there are the ones who call before they go out, who change clothes because it means more pictures because it looks like a different outing or different day.

I agree with what you said though, after everything that she has been through I can't say that I would be any different but it seems like she is trapped between this awful life and needing to be alone and this circle of needing the media and the photographers because she doesn't know how to be without it all....

ScruffyTeddy · 04/01/2008 20:47

Sadly, without support, she probably wont get it together...and she doesn't seem to have much of that right now.

WideWebWitch · 04/01/2008 20:48

I feel sorry for her too. The photos all over the front pages are horrible. Poor woman.

WideWebWitch · 04/01/2008 20:49

And Kevin Federline is pond life. imo

southeastastra · 04/01/2008 20:49

yes he's very ratty looking

jellybeans · 04/01/2008 20:51

I had kids young too and more of them along with marriage probs etc and do sympathise as emotional pain is awful and overwhelming and mental health issues are just like any other illness which you don't have control/choice over. Part of me feels she is abit selfish for partying etc but alot of celebs are quite disturbed and crave attention. Often they don't find happiness and look how many are into drugs etc.

ScruffyTeddy · 04/01/2008 20:54

Photos are selective though. We dont know she parties every night, could be once a week for all we're aware, just because they're chucked in the same story.

Neither do we know what he's doing now...funnily enough.

southeastastra · 04/01/2008 21:00

i really don't think she has any mental issues either, she just needs alot of space and time to learn how to become a mother and know herself.

blanki · 04/01/2008 21:14

sea, Iagree!

Elizabetth · 04/01/2008 21:22

Federline is only interested in those children because their mummy is worth £100m. It's a joke that because Britney is having problems he's suddenly seen as dad of the year. I wonder if he has to take drug tests.

What sickens me is that the same people who loved her when she was a paedophile's wet dream as a sixteen year old in a school uniform are now kicking her when she is struggling with an adult life that she has obviously been incredibly ill-prepared for.

What woman wouldn't lose it if their kids were taken away from them? The lack of empathy is astounding.
